When is your school going back in September?

We've had info from school which has said the school won't be open until 14th September at the earliest and no further info.

When is everyone else going back? This is later than I had anticipated and I'm not 100% that they'll be back on that date either!

Should have said - obviously I've emailed the school for more info!

3 Sept (secondary). I was hoping for the following week

MrsBlondie · 18/07/2020 18:26

8 Sept- year 10

lorn195 · 18/07/2020 18:28

No dates yet, only confirmation that our 13 year old will be back full time with a different entrance and staggered canteen times, different bubbles and zones. Personally I can't wait as it's been too long for him to not being with his mates.

BlackeyedSusan · 18/07/2020 18:28

7th,then 9th full time

lufcaregoingup · 18/07/2020 18:29

8th September eldest (Y5), middle child 9th September (Y4) and my youngest is starting reception on 17th September. Staggered starts and finishing too but only 10 mins apart.

WisestIsShe · 18/07/2020 18:29

7th September, year 9.

slipperywhensparticus · 18/07/2020 18:30

7th September

Shieldingending · 18/07/2020 18:31

For DC 25th Aug, which was the planned start of term- they have funny holidays. That’s 1000 secondary aged children all back on that day

2tired2bewitty · 18/07/2020 18:31

Primary - 2 September, everybody back all the time, and no messing around with half days or whatever for reception.

DominaShantotto · 18/07/2020 18:32

I'd have to check the diary but there's no change to the originally set term dates for it.

PotteringAlong · 18/07/2020 18:32

As a teacher, I’m back in on 3rd September. We have year 7 and year 12 in on 4th and everyone else on the 7th. My children Are back on the 8th.

AnnaMariaDreams · 18/07/2020 18:33

3rd. Pretty much as normal but no before and after school care.

lorisparkle · 18/07/2020 18:35

My school starts back with some children on 1st September, some more on 2nd then everyone on 3rd, ds3 - majority back on 2nd (staggered start for reception though), ds1 and 2 - 4th September (3rd for year 7 and 12)

lazylinguist · 18/07/2020 18:36

A couple of year groups only in at a time on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th September (to introduce each to the new systems and procedures), then everyone back on Monday 7th. (Secondary school).

sproutsandparsnips · 18/07/2020 18:36

Secondary school yr 9, 4 sept, yr 7 and 11 3 Sept. Blended learning wc 7th, full time from 14th. No canteen - the dcs must take packed lunches.
Not sure about primary school dc - they have been having school dinners up till now.

Deelish75 · 18/07/2020 18:38

Yr1 - 8th
Yr7 - 3rd (induction morning) Then 9th (whole school full time)

KoalasandRabbit · 18/07/2020 18:38

9th for both mine, y7 and 11 back on 7th, y7, y8 and y 11 on 8th, other years start on 9th.

MrsIceCream · 18/07/2020 18:39

7th sept. Primary school. Whole school back in bubbles with staggered drop off and pick up

roseapothecary · 18/07/2020 18:40

I'm back on the 1st, and the kids all back on the 3rd

SleepingStandingUp · 18/07/2020 18:43

3rd as we've got 2 inset days. Start time staggered, kids dropped on time at gate so no parents on site and one drop per family so earliest drop of and latest pick up

WanderingMilly · 18/07/2020 18:50

8th September for the children. For us working there, the first day back is 1st September....

hayfeverhellish · 18/07/2020 18:51

Quite a variation but ours seems really late....not reception or anything either. While school not back until at least then.
