How many people have you had in your house since we can?

We haven't had anyone into our house yet but have had family in our garden. My neighbour on the other hand has a steady stream of people every day. Different people usually with little children in tow. I know it’s not against the rules, but to me if this usual behaviour for most I’m not sure why masks or school bubbles will make a difference?

Quite a few. Tradespeople, friends and family.

HelloChompy · 17/07/2020 08:13

None in the house. My Dad has been in our garden - socially distanced and we have been in his and my sister and her family - who live very near to my dad are his bubble so they have been there too.

Yankathebear · 17/07/2020 08:17

None. Not because of covid but because I don’t like people Grin

Wilburgh · 17/07/2020 08:28

Only my midwife.

To be honest, no one ever comes round anyway.

Frazzled2207 · 17/07/2020 08:31

My parents, brother in law and both kids have had a friend over (and have been to theirs).

Have also met quite a few people (and kids, mostly for their benefit) in the park etc

happypotamus · 17/07/2020 08:32

My mum and my sister came yesterday. They mostly stayed in the garden but did come in to use the toilet which is allowed anyway. My mum was talking after about my cats though and they weren't in the bathroom so it is quite likely she was also in other rooms.
But this isn't entirely COVID-related. I don't have any friends, my house is a disgrace that we are ashamed for people to see, so no one really comes round anyway.

We’ve had friends around for a bbq and DT’s friends have visited. Family don’t live in the U.K. but we’re visiting them this summer.

frustrationcentral · 17/07/2020 09:26

one

DS had a friend staying over for one night last week, and he's staying again next week. We managed to just about social distance from each other and I allocated a bathroom/towel etc to him

MaryShelley1818 · 17/07/2020 09:33

My cleaner.

My parents in law came for lunch

DHs best friend who had been self isolating and had zero contact with anyone else.

And MIL turned up with SIL as a surprise when we were both working and let themselves in while I was on a conference call.

everythingisginandroses · 17/07/2020 20:05

Plumber. He turned up without a face covering although I had asked him in advance to wear one, so he got a customer present of a brand new face covering. We were ill for fucking weeks in March/April/May, still not A1 now. People are fucking idiots.

MoreW1ne · 17/07/2020 22:09

Various family and friends. Probably around 15-20 (including kids)

Alloverthegrapevine · 17/07/2020 22:11

An electrician and the district nurse

DebLou47 · 17/07/2020 22:58

Cleaner and parents but keep 2m apart

Sunshine1235 · 17/07/2020 23:00

We had plasterer and plumber come but the later was over lockdown. We have friends coming to stay next week and then hoping my parents a few weeks after than

HelloDulling · 17/07/2020 23:01

My mum, the alarm system chap, and the two fellas who delivered my new fridge. I think; DH might have had all sorts here while I’ve been at work, I suppose.

chipsandpeas · 17/07/2020 23:01

none, but i did have a friend in briefly when we were still in lockdown, but i knew there was very minimal risk as we have both been very much sticking to the rules beforehand

JacobReesMogadishu · 17/07/2020 23:04

A friend who came and sat in the garden and needed to use the loo. So she wore gloves while going through the house, had her own towel to use. We weren’t in the house when she was.

blurpityblurp · 17/07/2020 23:06

A mobile hairdresser a few days ago, and I had a locksmith in during the height of lockdown but that was an emergency. No friends.

I’ve been in my partner’s house, and had socially distanced walks and picnics with a few friends.

Hibbetyhob · 18/07/2020 08:32

Ummm my parents, 2 of dd’s friends for her birthday, a couple of my friends, a colleague, the cleaners.

And we have been in a few friends’ houses too.

Greyhair59 · 19/07/2020 15:23

Son had 10 friends in garden for 18th birthday, 2 sets of couples outside and inside. Sil and 2 bils have stayed over due to family emergency.

Toothsil · 20/07/2020 20:41

We've had our best friends in once, and another friend dropped DD home yesterday after she was round to play in their garden, so she and h r DD were in for about 10 minutes but that's all. Oh and a plumber.

Didyousaynutella · 20/07/2020 20:51

6 or 7. Family on both sides. A few play dates for my 4 year old and 6 year old. The cleaner.
Only one household at once. In the garden unless it’s been raining. But it’s rained a lot here ( north west). We’ve had a lot of family birthdays in the last couple of months too.
It’s allowed. Don’t see the problem. We are coming out of lockdown. That’s the idea.

magicmarker11 · 20/07/2020 21:00

Both mums, a friend, and ds's best friend
