How many people have you had in your house since we can?

We haven't had anyone into our house yet but have had family in our garden. My neighbour on the other hand has a steady stream of people every day. Different people usually with little children in tow. I know it’s not against the rules, but to me if this usual behaviour for most I’m not sure why masks or school bubbles will make a difference?

One- the decorator has been to paint the outside of the house and he’s used the downstairs loo.

Camomila · 15/07/2020 21:01

Just my mum and dad.

Need to get the kitchen light fixed too but haven't been organised enough yet to get an appt.

jmh740 · 15/07/2020 21:02

Plumber, he was doing some work at the back of the house and I let him in the front door to use the loo which is next to the front door

puffinkoala · 15/07/2020 21:09

Only workmen (and one workwoman) eg to fit new internet connection. Until today when ds met some friends in a local park and one of them needed the loo so he brought her back to ours so she could use our loo.

Flowersinthewindowstill · 15/07/2020 21:22

My boyfriend
The cleaners
My Dad for about 5 minutes as he needed to drop something off
My housemate who needed to collect something (but has been quarantinig elsewhere.)

Etinox · 15/07/2020 21:25

@TheMurk

Dozens.
How come?
ThatDamnScientist · 15/07/2020 21:30

Nobody. I'm a little sad we live so far from school friends (dd friends and I'm friends with a couple of the mums). So we haven't been able to meet up for socially distanced walks etc. But I don't mind not having people round my house - both kids are autistic and don't like people in the house and the house is so small we wouldn't be able to socially distance inside.

TheMurk · 15/07/2020 21:31

Over the last few weeks various workmen, cleaners, family, friends, kids of friends, etc etc.

Haven’t tried to count, haven’t really thought to.

If OH can go to pub and sit around with hundreds of folk breathing all over each other, we can get our washing machine fixed and have a cleaner in.

ThatDamnScientist · 15/07/2020 21:33

Oh we will have workmen in next week as the heating has packed in - would rather not but figured it was better now than waiting until winter when numbers may rise again.

RenegadeMrs · 15/07/2020 21:38

4 - my Mum and Dad and my OH's step Dad and wife. Not at the same time obviously.

Also met up with my sister and brother in law and their children, but keeping those meet ups outside as they have kids and its easier to distance outside.

LST · 15/07/2020 21:54

Quite a few now. Family and friends. We've been camping with friends as well.

Miffytastic · 16/07/2020 08:44

1 Electrician
A couple of people using the downstairs hall toilet

That’s it! Still feeling anxious about it tbh but hoping that come the autumn will be able to see folks (esp parents) indoors. My mum’s 75, & at an increased risk, plus, and not sure how we’d manage to keep 2m apart in their house.

Greydrapex · 16/07/2020 10:18

My mum, my step daughter, friends for dinner. Which is about normal for us anyway. My friend is coming for coffee next week.

SedentaryCat · 16/07/2020 10:27

Brother in Law. He came over for a cuppa last Friday before going to the solicitor with DH - they are sorting out my late MILs estate.

Apart from that no-one. Until my dad arrives at midday today. His insistance, even though DH and I are are both working

He's been trying to get me to visit him since lockdown began and I've been refusing because he only has 15% kidney function. He should probably still be shielding, except throughout lockdown he's been carrying on as normal.

JaJaDing · 16/07/2020 10:35

One of my friends, one of my partners friends, separately, and at a 2m distance. We have two sofas in the living room that are already more than 2m apart, so it's easy to socially distance.

Had more people round in the garden as the weather is nice and some older family members don't fell comfortable coming in, and about 5 of them have nipped in to use the loo.

girlicorne · 16/07/2020 12:11

just one friend and her son, she came to do my hair but our sons are best friends so played together on the PS4 upstairs. We have been to visit my mum, me, DS andDD but other than that we have had no visitors and not been to see anyone else. Our house is a bit scruffy though and in need of modernisation (rented) and I m shit at cleaning ( hate it and don’t have time) so I don’t really like inviting people round in normal times 😀

Elsa8 · 16/07/2020 13:15

None, or we would have had close family / Friedan over but being sensible, but I have two under 5’s who wouldn’t be able to maintain a distance. It seems kinder to not try and make them TBH, though I worry they’re losing their bond with their grandparents.

Elsa8 · 16/07/2020 13:15

Friedan?! Friends!!

GruffaloandMouse · 16/07/2020 13:18

My friend

transformandriseup · 16/07/2020 13:50

As normal really but not loads

luckylavender · 16/07/2020 13:58

Three. We had our boiler serviced & decided to get our cleaners back this week.

MashedSpud · 16/07/2020 14:00

None.

herecomesthsun · 16/07/2020 14:12

I'm shielding. We can't None.

CharBart · 16/07/2020 14:22

Nobody yet. We have met up with people outdoors. Next week we are going to stay with my parents who live too far away for a day visit, so we’ve partly been cautious in preparation for that. We are working from home and kids not back in school.

bigbluebus · 16/07/2020 14:26

One couple. They started off in the garden but it went very cold so we moved indoors. They sat at the opposite end of the room over 2m away.

Other than that we have had short visits to 3 lots of friends gardens and not gone in their housr at all.
