How many people have you had in your house since we can?

We haven't had anyone into our house yet but have had family in our garden. My neighbour on the other hand has a steady stream of people every day. Different people usually with little children in tow. I know it’s not against the rules, but to me if this usual behaviour for most I’m not sure why masks or school bubbles will make a difference?

5 adults and 3 kids. Obviously not at the same time. My parents in law, the my SIL and her son, and 2 friends and their kids (all separately). I am pregnant but other than that none of us are working around people, or have health issues. It was all allowed.

lillylemons · 15/07/2020 14:00

My Nephew popped in he walked through the flat to the balcony.
My husband's cousin popped in for 10 minutes as well he was dropping off birthday gifts for ds.

ByeByeOldName · 15/07/2020 14:08

who I bubbled with as both single adult households A year ago we would have been aghast that we had to bubble with people Sad

Mintjulia · 15/07/2020 14:11

Ds plus three. I’m a lone parent so allowed to form a social bubble.

Plus the plumber and the boiler service man, both socially distanced, of course. Grin

One professional oven cleaner.

One friend with her toddler (they've been a couple of times). We've been to their a few times too.

That's it!

ifonly4 · 15/07/2020 14:14

One workman - emergency repair.

I've seen friends outside, but the only house I've entered was my Mum's porch when I dropped shopping off in the pouring rain.

Not ready to have anyone here, luckily no one is putting pressure on us to go to them

megletthesecond · 15/07/2020 14:14

No one.

Annebronte · 15/07/2020 14:18

Just the cleaner. Friends and family in the garden.

palacegirl77 · 15/07/2020 14:19

Nobody. We've had a playdate in the garden for a couple of dd2's friends and their mums.

I've been into 3 houses though. My sister's one Saturday (I'm her support bubble as she's a single parent). Then a week later walked through my parents house to get to their garden for my mum's birthday "party" (6 of us in total, all in separate corners of the garden), and I used their loo as well, but we didn't sit in the house at all. Then a couple of weeks later I took dd to her friend's house for a playdate in the garden, but again had to walk through the house to get to the garden.

I'm trying to minimise any risks when I'm not at work. I've been in school for 5 weeks now as a teacher, with up to 15 kids in my classroom at any one time. I'm in secondary school so it's not full time with the same 15 kids, but some days with year 10 and other days with year 12. I feel like I'm the risk now for my friends and family. We know how seriously we've been taking social distancing, but I have no idea how seriously my pupils or their families have. So I'll keep my distance from my family and friends because I'm not able to keep as much distance from my pupils (I am obviously sticking to 2m away from them, but inside is more risky than outside and we can't all take every class outside at all times)

MayFayre · 15/07/2020 14:28

None

In the garden: 7, but not at the same time

BoobsOnTheMoon · 15/07/2020 14:32

I have had one person in my home other than the people who live here since March! And that was last week, when I had a paid specialist babysitter round to give me a days respite care for my autistic child.

Thisdressneedspockets · 15/07/2020 17:55

Zero. Do I get a prize?

BogRollBOGOF · 15/07/2020 17:59

None. Not because they're not welcome but because most people I know are struggling with workload or being hypèr alert about the risks of catching the virus and are about three steps behind the guidence as a precaution.

My loo is avaliable Grin

cheninblanc · 15/07/2020 18:04

1, my daughters boyfriend. They've been so good as soon as he was allowed round we let him

PlanDeRaccordement · 15/07/2020 18:07

Two.

  • hairdresser for my shaggy DH and she stayed outdoors and cut hair on the patio
  • a friend of DHs that lives alone, is going through divorce/depression and desperately needed a talk. He came and was in kitchen with DH for around two hours.

emmathedilemma · 15/07/2020 18:09

1 who's my bubble friend and I've been to hers. To be fair, that's probably no different from normal for me. I've got other friends coming later this week and I'm going to stay with family in a couple of weeks time.

yeOldeTrout · 15/07/2020 18:10

no one been here.
I have been inside one friend's house 2 or 3x, very briefly. DH has gone to visit his mum.

adult teen DD has probably had a few visits inside other homes.

TennisButterfly · 15/07/2020 18:11

My mum and dad.
DH has been to his Mum's and me and DD have been to my brother's.

equuscaballus · 15/07/2020 18:11

3 - two siblings and a friend.

ohthegoats · 15/07/2020 18:14

My parents
Friend of my child's from her school bubble
Boyfriend's parents want to stay next weekend, I've said I'd prefer they didn't for their own sake - I'm in school on Monday and Tuesday seeing 60 different children for an hour each. Doesn't seem fair to them. We are paying for them to stay in an airbnb.

Just my mum in a bubble. Completely see your point, have no problem w it h what other people do if it doesn’t affect offers but come September we are expected to just accept and take on board other people choices as our own. It can’t stay like this.
