@Letsbeserious What was the difference when your period came around? I had an awful time from the first day of my last one but in day one again now and aside from normal period pain, I’ve not really had anything else, but am expecting it 🙄
Was yours just the first day or through your whole period whilst it lasted?
Anyone know the possible reasons for things becoming worse at this time?

AndsLee · 10/06/2020 23:13

@Whatnext2018
My last period was brutal. I think it was because of the natural increase in temperature.

Also, for me, it almost seems like my body is relearning not to react to things. Like it's been on high alert and uber sensitive since the virus. I reckon this period won't be so bad, because my body has learned about it already.

If you're no longer using the oximeter, remove the battery .If you don't, it may be useless next time you need it for any reason.

Kitcat122 · 11/06/2020 06:58

@Moodgie I still have the burning bottom of throat with burning oesophagus/chest and Sob when walking to work and back. Got blood tests today and waiting for a chest xray. It's my only symptoms left from the beginning. Had a wonderful 3 weeks without them from week 8 then it all came back 😩.

SunshineCake · 11/06/2020 07:15

Confused. I have woken up and feel chilled and very nauseous. WTH is going on?

Crayfishforyou · 11/06/2020 08:19

@SunshineCake that is what we’d all like to know! Grin

I’m still on with the head pressure/sinus headaches. And I was woken up in the night with the ominous head buzzing/tinnitus feeling and my face and arms feeling red hot and sunburnt. Usually I’m freezing cold but at the moment I’m always too hot.
My GP is ringing me this morning, I shall ask her about it.
At least the proprananol is helping the tachycardia now I’ve worked out the best dose for me

Moodgie · 11/06/2020 09:24

@Kitcat122 I had bloods and X Ray, all fine. I still have morning nausea and toilet rush daily. And very sore fingers on waking up.

LetsBeSensible · 11/06/2020 11:16

@AndsLee @Whatnext2018 first period was tough in the build up, and during. I would say the cramps were on a level with a kidney stone passing. Second period was not quite so bad but far worse than usual. It was then I lost my voice for 6 weeks.
I think Ands was right, it’s like your body suspected it was being attacked by the period so went into overdrive hoping to fight it off. Temperature and symptoms came back with bad fatigue. Like you’ve overdone it and caused a relapse.

fedupofbed · 11/06/2020 11:25

Morning everyone.

@onlinelinda how are you? Would you say you're fully recovered now?

Day 104 and another better day so far. My sleep is so much better - think I woke up once in the night very briefly and that was it. I'm still struggling to drop off with that wired feeling though - I know this has been common for others too.

My main symptoms as of last night and today are stomach-related. I have a constant urge to burp but often physically unable to do so (oh the noises, I'm very pleasant to live with 😁). I also have sharp stabbing pains across my abdomen, anyone had those? Whilst unpleasant, they are at a level which is much easier to live with than all the cardio and SOB stuff.

@Crayfishforyou I hope your GP was of help.

AndsLee · 11/06/2020 11:26

@Crayfishforyou
I'm experiencing that rash. Tinnitus on and off, but not bad. I think it's the route out you know? Other than a few aches and pains, this is day 12 of feeling ok! My eyes are not so bloodshot. My tummy gives the odd twinge, but I think what I am experiencing now is more IBS - post viral. The gunk coming out of my nose has started to change (yuk I know).

I sent a swab back this morn before my partner comes home. Will report back.

@LetsBeSensible - I've found myself talking my body down..."now it's only the sun, you remember? No need to react." Haha

Hope you all are ok...Flowers

@Crayfishforyou - would be keen to know what your GP says about the sunburn thing, if that's ok?

Had a phone appointment with a CPN yesterday...was referred for health anxiety. She looked at my record (sometimes years without seeing a GP) and did the math. She was far more up to speed with Covid symptoms, and I think will help in getting my GP surgery to actually see me.

I'm unfortunately really feeling discouraged at how long this has been going on. I just want to get out of this, but as I already had CFS even before this, I'm really not hopeful right now.

I'm having a chest X-ray tomorrow, though I'm not really expecting different answers from the last one. Blood tests, and hopefully an antibody test will follow.

I'm sorry to hear about some of the other symptoms others are experiencing. Hopefully, we'll all be able to get past this eventually. Thanks

fedupofbed · 11/06/2020 11:41

@Mittens030869 I'm so sorry, I know it's been dragging on forever for you. I find it a struggle after all this time too. I'm just thinking baby steps. Sending love 💐

@AndsLee I think you get the vote for worst healthcare provider ever! And there's been stiff competition on this thread.

Booboostwo · 11/06/2020 12:04

Week 9 here and I have almost daily headaches. I am so tired of this now. Is there any point in seeing a GP? Is there anything he will be able to do to help? Access to GPs is very good where I live, I can get a face to face appointment within a day or two.

AndsLee · 11/06/2020 12:07

@booboostwo
If you can I would. Even just to make sure it's on your record. Smile

Silvergoldsilver · 11/06/2020 12:21

@fedupofbed @Andslee I’d love to submit an entry into the worst healthcare provider list. My GP called to say my bloods are all clear and suggested that I ‘go for a long run’ to help my symptoms. Wonderful advice when I tried to explain I have difficulty walking and breathing! He then told me that he had coronavirus in Feb and he felt fine after 2 weeks so he’s sure I’ll be fine Hmm

Egghead68 · 11/06/2020 12:27

Day 82/83. I’m generally OK. I’m a bit sinusy and tight-chested but that could be my usual health issues not the covid.

@silvergoldsilver that is even worse than the doctors who told me to “exercise as much as you can and increase it day by day”. I’d be tempted to send your GP some of the articles on long-tail Covid with a covering letter pointing out how inapproriate it is to say you should be over it in 2 weeks because he was...

Egghead68 · 11/06/2020 12:31

@AndsLee good that the CPN was sensible and informed. The “National Shielding Service” also tried to get me to agree to mental health Support recently after I got cross about how rubbish their service is (!!!) FFS...

fedupofbed · 11/06/2020 12:47

@Silvergoldsilver okay I think you win, that's shocking.

fedupofbed · 11/06/2020 12:49

And then of course there were all the people who were told to manage at home until their lips turned blue!

SunshineCake · 11/06/2020 12:57

That is terrible *@Silvergoldsilver. When I rang the 111 doctor because I was breathless, couldn't speak in sentences and coughing he said "you sound fine, breathing has settled, drink water and rest. I can put you on the covid free pathway if you want..."

A week later taken to hospital...

Silvergoldsilver · 11/06/2020 13:24

Thanks for your support, all. @Egghead68 Good idea - I will send them the articles on long tail cases as they seemed pretty clueless! I tried to tell him that my 12 week experience is different to 2 weeks but he wasn’t convinced. On the plus side though, I managed to get them to approve me to get an antibody test so will see what comes of that!

Egghead68 · 11/06/2020 13:55

That’s good!

@Mittens030869 completely with you on the being fed up. One day this will be a distant memory (hopefully).

alittleprivacy · 11/06/2020 14:55

So remember when I said I was confident I was pretty much better and hopefully wouldn’t see an increase in inflammation? Well it turns out that if your dog goes mad because he saw a cat two minutes ago and dashes off as you put him down and causes you to injure your elbow and need a sling. Then the weight of the sling can restart the inflammation!

Thankfully the strong anti inflammatory you are on for your arm will take that inflammation away after a few days. But it will worsen your GERD so much that the pantaflux no longer eliminates it. On the plus side though, I can’t exercise with my injured arm, so at least that keeps the GERD from erupting too badly. Moral of the story, don’t get injured for at least a few months after full recovery.

In other bad news, my family dog couldn’t recover and was pts on Tuesday. And this morning while getting ready to stand on the street with neighbors marking a local funeral. My nana, who will be 90 in August, fell down the stairs and had to be taken away in an ambulance with no family allowed to be with her. She seems to have avoided any serious injury but needs X-rays and will probably be kept in at least until tomorrow. Her hearing is very bad so she’ll struggle with understanding the doctors and nurses in masks. So it will be doubly hard for her with no family allowed to be with her.
