@1forsorrow

You can trawl web archives for the previous versions - here's the version that was on-line on 27th March:

<a class="break-all" href="https://web.archive.org/web/20200327085113/www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-stay-at-home-guidance/stay-at-home-guidance-for-households-with-possible-coronavirus-covid-19-infection" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">web.archive.org/web/20200327085113/www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-stay-at-home-guidance/stay-at-home-guidance-for-households-with-possible-coronavirus-covid-19-infection

if you can, move any vulnerable individuals (such as the elderly and those with underlying health conditions) out of your home, to stay with friends or family for the duration of the home isolation period

if you cannot move vulnerable people out of your home, stay away from them as much as possible

Although, this is still in the current guidance too.

1forsorrow · 26/05/2020 18:48

Thanks Sabrina, I have been looking for the 12th March version but can't find it. I thought the advice was originally the same for children as that advice for the vulnerable/elderly. I thought that might be why people thought the advice about children didn't include what he is saying.

itsgettingweird · 26/05/2020 18:51

So he didn't follow the rules. The child was not vulnerable. He wasn't even removed from the house. He moved to a different one - with them. And he certainly wasn't isolated away from them even if they could claim he was vulnerable.

If you scroll to the bottom of the blurb before going into any guidance it lists the updates. It tells you when and what.

Incredibly powerful article with parallels between Britains response to Covid 19 and the response to Chernobyl.

bylinetimes.com/2020/05/15/britains-chernobyl-covid-19-and-the-cost-of-lies/

Funnily enough Sky News have been re running their series The Real Chernobyl late at night.

Helena thanks for the secret barrister links

Noeuf

It tells you when the updates were with a very general statement about changes, but not any detail.

WayBackMachine is your friend Wink

itsgettingweird · 26/05/2020 19:02

So between 18th March and 9th April the guidance didn't change.

We need the 18th March one. Has anyone got it?

And I'm sure it was 9/10th April JH said about leaving with children if there's extreme risk to life.

SouthWestmom · 26/05/2020 19:06

Sabrina yes I know, just gives a good guide to where to look for changes

Matt Hancock said YOUR civic duty not OURS. Very telling Thats the second time ive seen YOURS rather than OURS used in the last few days

First time was on another thread on here.

HeIenaDove · 26/05/2020 19:08

So he didnt say. Its OUR civic duty to do this.

HeIenaDove · 26/05/2020 19:09

No worries @Noeuf

HeIenaDove · 26/05/2020 19:19

The lawyer who prosecuted the Rotherham abusers was just on Channel 4 news and he was fab on this.

My friends H starts any shit? Hes going to get a link to it.

Nazir Afzal? He’s great.
HeIenaDove · 26/05/2020 19:24

Thats him. He said his brother has sadly died of Covid 19 Sad

Belindabelle · 26/05/2020 19:26

I have still got a hunch that wife and child remained in the North and DC went home alone. I think she went to her parents in Northumberland and he drove up the next weekend (18/19 April). There was mention of him been seen on this date.

I do wish someone had asked why his wife didn’t drive back to London as his eyes were dodgy.

I think he said that the reports of a second visit to Durham were false. That would be correct as his second trip was to Northumberland.

Saucery · 26/05/2020 19:28

Ah no, that’s sad. Every death in this is, of course, but there are some that stand out when their families in the public eye speak of them (Rory Kinnear wrote very movingly about his sister a couple of weeks ago).
But hey, all the politicians and their Igors have been fiiiinnne, so let’s get shops and schools open asap 😞

The only good thing to come out of this is all the comedy tweets on the issue...keeping my spirits up while I quietly seethe that my MP has still not responded apart from to sit on the fence on his Facebook page Angry

HeIenaDove · 26/05/2020 19:33

Yes i saw that Saucery re Karina Kinnear Sad

SabrinaThwaite · 26/05/2020 19:35

Noeuf no worries, it’s just that you still need to find a web archive version to see the changes. You can’t get to previous versions directly from the gov.uk site.

CricketCrocket · 26/05/2020 19:36

Belinda I wonder if that’s what happened too. DC kept mentioning these ‘14 days’ a lot at his press conference. Also, Preston asked him if he was sure he hadn’t been anywhere else.

HeIenaDove · 26/05/2020 19:38

@kissmewherethesundontshine Grin Says it all.

Paddys children have autism if i remember rightly (hope ive worded that right)

And im betting they had to manage without jollies out

LarkDescending · 26/05/2020 19:51

Well the police have started their inquiry apparently (Guardian, Times) so they will have the ANPR to trace the vehicle’s movements. Sometimes they trace phone signal movements too and plot them on the ANPR map, though I’m not sure whether they will consider all of that proportional to the alleged offences.

Belindabelle · 26/05/2020 19:53

OMG I have just had a look on Twitter and apparently a complaint was made to Northumbria police about DC been seen in Wooler but they are not investigating as insufficient information to pursue.

The plot thickens.
