Dominic Cummings using his child's autism as an excuse

So it looks as if the next excuse to be wheeled out is that Dominic Cumming's child is autistic.

My child is autistic. I know many families with autistic children.

This is what I have heard of happening for these families during Coronavirus:

  • no school (yes I know schools should be taking vulnerable children. But many are not)
  • no respite
  • no transport to school even if they are open
  • regular activities cancelled
  • the fear that provision provided by local authorities through Education Health and Care Plans and suspended under the Coronavirus Act will slowly disappear

I know of many single parents alone with their child who are seriously struggling and who did not break the rules during lockdown.

To use autism as an excuse is beyond low. It is revolting and has made me even angrier than I was before

You can now see how Johnson dealt with his numerous infidelities. Can we just move on? That's when you need to change the locks and get a lawyer. Grin

@MeganBacon

Enemy is a fairly dramatic word

It's your choice of word. You posted about him having 'enemies' so you introduced the drama.

but I assume there is no love lost between Shipman and DC.

You assume. No actual evidence then. OK. Maybe you're also assuming the whole thing about Cummings being targeted by 'enemies'? It's very dramatic. Maybe he just behaved like an arrogant git and got found out?

MeganBacon · 28/05/2020 23:50

@Butterypuffin
Yep maybe. My opinion. I would never insist that my opinion is the only valid one. That's why people post on these boards isn't it? To engage with people with different opinions.
Yep I used the word enemy. Perhaps not a well chosen word. Hardly important though, in the grand scheme, but thanks for pointing out. I think people already realise we are not at war.

MeganBacon · 28/05/2020 23:55

Seriously, it's hilarious. Are you actually arguing that because I "assumed" there was no love lost between Shipman and DC, this means I am wrong to have an opinion about DC being unpopular and having no mates? Where is the development in that argument? Is this seriously all you've got?

Ulver · 29/05/2020 00:28

Having mates that you met in the net who believe in Eugenics is nothing to boast about.

Ulver · 29/05/2020 00:32

So Boris employed Cummings wife in the past and was editor of the spectator at the time.
They are obviously extremely close in ways that make Boris’s opinions skewed against any oversight, accountability or criticism.?

These are exactly the kind of relationships that are a problem on politics. Social climbers exchanging favours to climb the ladder to power and treating the general public like they are snakes.

You can now see how Johnson dealt with his numerous infidelities. Can we just move on? That's when you need to change the locks and get a lawyerGrin

That sounds extremely plausible vera
And probably just repeated the next few times too...
