Dominic Cummings using his child's autism as an excuse

Almahart · 25/05/2020 04:01

So it looks as if the next excuse to be wheeled out is that Dominic Cumming's child is autistic.

My child is autistic. I know many families with autistic children.

This is what I have heard of happening for these families during Coronavirus:

  • no school (yes I know schools should be taking vulnerable children. But many are not)
  • no respite
  • no transport to school even if they are open
  • regular activities cancelled
  • the fear that provision provided by local authorities through Education Health and Care Plans and suspended under the Coronavirus Act will slowly disappear

I know of many single parents alone with their child who are seriously struggling and who did not break the rules during lockdown.

To use autism as an excuse is beyond low. It is revolting and has made me even angrier than I was before

Has used Move on
And
be kind
And tries to drown the thread with excessive wordage

MeganBacon · 27/05/2020 13:17

And tries to drown the thread with excessive wordage
As opposed to trying to drown it with false accusations, eh Ulver?

Ulver · 27/05/2020 13:19

Mirinska

They also have lots of excuses for Dominics behaviour that even he hasn’t used?

How dare you compare Cummings to Jo Cox who was murdered by a racist Brexit supporter?
A Brexit that Cummings “got done” by stealing U.K. citizens data and profiling voters and creating racist targeted adverts and media manipulation?
You’ve got a cheek trying to pull that one.

Outrageous

Cummings was the architect of social division In this country that has caused death and misery to millions.

You can bog right off comparing him to Jo Cox .

Ulver · 27/05/2020 13:21

Cummings has Already done enough That has been confirmed to be totally accurate to strung up by the press and the public.

MeganBacon · 27/05/2020 13:25

Cummings has Already done enough That has been confirmed to be totally accurate to strung up by the press and the public.
This is why it is a great shame that you weaken your case by spouting incorrect rumours that you've taken from some extremely unreliable source and state them as fact, and then don't have the decency to retract your false statements. You just sound like a person who is so blinded by their own fervour that they can't see the truth.

Ulver · 27/05/2020 13:26

MeganBacon

Multiple people in the thread and irl life have said it.
You have no proof it’s not true.
I said it needs confirmation, but you ignored me saying so.

Fill your boots

Ulver · 27/05/2020 13:30

That comment was also more A comical and facetious Take on the pics Of him running from number ten looking like he had a swag big under his arm.
It was not meant to be taken literally.
Do you honestly think he keeps all the govt data he’s harvested in him personally?

Ffs

MeganBacon · 27/05/2020 14:28

Multiple people in the thread and irl life have said it. All of them 100% wrong and guilty of spreading untruths, but never mind, eh? If you want people to find any of your arguments compelling, it may be best to stick to the truth.
You have no proof it’s not true. What kind of argument is that? I don't have proof he's not a vampire either, would you like to throw that into the mix?

I said it needs confirmation, but you ignored me saying so. Strangely, I didn't catch that, no.

Fill your boots I literally have no idea what that means.

vera99 · 27/05/2020 14:33

On the balance of probabilities is as guilty as fuck. Next.

FliesandPies · 27/05/2020 14:40

Ulver they all seem to have crassly common names like mummytime followed by a number or babemumma followed by a number so they don't sound Russian to me, just like something made up in a hurry to jump on a thread

FliesandPies · 27/05/2020 14:50

incorrect rumours that you've taken from some extremely unreliable source and state them as fact, and then don't have the decency to retract your false statements

What false statements?

Ulver · 27/05/2020 14:51

You have no proof it’s not true.

He gave a contract to a company where A major director is also a Cummings.
It’s is worth finding out if some thing is not true before you claim so confidently it is not.
You don't know that it’s not.

I have said in multiple comments on here that it needs to be confirmed one way or the other As it is in the public interest.

You chose to ignore that and have provided no evidence one way or the other.

The original comment was satire and you took it literally which I find ridiculous frankly.

As I said before do you think Cummings keeps all of our govt data in a map sack on his back?

Because that is farcical

Ulver · 27/05/2020 14:54

And again I will reiterate people defending Cummings with the line that it’s wrong to Lie?

Oh The Irony 👀👀🙄🙄🙄🙄

MeganBacon · 27/05/2020 15:27

This one, posted by Ulver Tue 26-May-20 09:19:53

Dominic ran up to Durham to slaver over the data trove he had just prized off a deliriously ILL Boris for his sisters company which is producing the Covid app IN MY OPINION

Still not seeing the satire, especially as this was only one of Ulver's 106 posts yesterday on threads about DC.

And here's the proof that it's not true, from a reliable source (Reuters).
www.reuters.com/article/uk-factcheck-cummings-sister/fact-check-dominic-cummings-does-not-have-a-sister-working-for-the-it-solutions-company-idox-idUSKBN2322VB

FliesandPies · 27/05/2020 15:34

Doesn't that say 'in my opinion' in capital letters?

Ulver · 27/05/2020 15:40

I guess I should have put 😂😂😂😂😂😂

After that comment.
People were speculating on why he was running from no ten and making sarcastic comments on his behaviour.

I joined in.

But ok the mumsnet thread police are here to defend Cummings repeatedly and slay his critics with their mighty sword.

Yawn

Why dont you just Move on and Be Kind?

Dominic Cummings using his child's autism as an excuse
FliesandPies · 27/05/2020 15:41

Hardly constitutes 'drowning the thread with false accusations'.

Ulver · 27/05/2020 15:43

Also the idea that people are counting how many posts people make on here On a particular subject is pretty creepy?
Why the interest in how many posts people make specifically about Cummings? It’s the major news story OF THE DAY
I find that odd behaviour?

MeganBacon · 27/05/2020 15:45

The title of this thread is also a falsehood. It is not pubic knowledge whether or not his child is autistic, his parents have rightly never commented on that or tried to use it as an excuse.

Social media at its worst, just loads of waffle about stuff that isn't demonstrably true.

itsgettingweird · 27/05/2020 15:46

Megan I'm a little confused about your argument? Fair enough you don't agree Cummings should resign or be sacked. Plenty don't. But the statement he made was his words and his account of what happened. No one is making up facts. He gave us facts.
Some think his facts justify his actions.
Some think his facts don't justify his actions.

MeganBacon · 27/05/2020 15:47

Are you DC's spurned lover Ulver?

itsgettingweird · 27/05/2020 15:48

Most people have acknowledged that was never a fact. We moved on from the whole and thjng pages ago.

Ulver · 27/05/2020 15:50

But many people claiming to have inside knowledge are online sticking up for him On the basis that he has an autistic child.
Are they his friends?
Or are they just Boris fans making assumptions.
Autism has huge spectrum and it’s insulting to use It as an excuse for breaking the law imo.
Which many people online are claiming.
Muddying the waters in a way that to be frank benefits Cummings insinuations an innuendo about having a “vulnerable” child.
Which is a phrase he most definitely did use.

MeganBacon · 27/05/2020 15:51

itsgettingweird
I have also said he should go.
I certainly think it's reasonable to discuss what he said at the press meeting, and there are good grounds for criticism on the testing the eyesight remarks.
My issue is with the spurious comments made on social media that are not true. No matter who someone is, he does not deserve to have untruths spouted about him.

Ulver · 27/05/2020 15:52

MeganBacon

Are you DC's spurned lover Ulver?

Creepy insinuations and unwanted sexual innuendo is not an argument.

Bog off.

Is your name “Meganbacon’

“A hilarious racist joke” by a Tory terrier?
