Lol. And there was me trying to make DICK

MockersxxxxxxxSocialDistancing · 24/05/2020 15:23

The guy in Co Durham says that's why he remembered it.

Splodgetastic · 24/05/2020 15:24

Damage is already done as it were, seen multiple family groups out this afternoon, people got their adult children visiting and friends in back gardens, not much social distancing going on. And that’s just in my street! Lockdown is well and truly over.

GrimmsFairytales · 24/05/2020 15:25

My sky planner still says 3.50 for the daily briefing.

I can't find any evidence online, but the reporter on BBC news outside DS definitely said it had changed to 5pm.

FedHimtoTigers1990 · 24/05/2020 15:26

The little bit of faith i had left in the government is gone.

CMO in Scotland got absolute hell (rightly so) for travelling to her 2nd home. DC should be sacked. Travelling with a contagious family is even worse. There is no excuse for it. I'm baffled that people are trying to justify it.

SouthWestmom · 24/05/2020 15:26

Definitely moved it's all over the news channels. Sky news reporting post Tory mps think he should go.

I suspect that he is intensely disliked by a lot of MPs and press and this is golden for them.

theDudesmummy · 24/05/2020 15:26

Police knocking on DCs door, but no-one home...(he is still in DS isn't he?)

merrymouse · 24/05/2020 15:26

Under the circumstances I don't think Led by Donkeys should be in his street. It's the bank holiday. People are stuck at home. Some of them could be ill. It won't change anyone's mind.

StealthPolarBear · 24/05/2020 15:27

Someone on this or another thread made an excellent point

If the risks were low, why weren't these sorts of scenarios built into the guidance at the time?

TopperSail · 24/05/2020 15:28

MillicentMartha I've just signed that petition as well as the other one, thanks.
Also for the first time emailed my Conservative MP, which I think I'll start to make a habit of.
We have a voice.

lilgreen · 24/05/2020 15:28

What was he going to do if they became too ill to look after the child in Durham. Pass him to family? Infecting then? How can any of this be reasonable????

MockersxxxxxxxSocialDistancing · 24/05/2020 15:29

Integrity and Trust left HMG the day Robin Cook resigned in 2003.

It's not been seen since.

SouthWestmom · 24/05/2020 15:35

Police probably turned up to offer support on security matters

The80sweregreat · 24/05/2020 15:36

The rules were clear , at first anyway. Back when Dominic and his family were going up the A 66 or whatever , the roads here were empty and ' stay at home, protect the NHS' was everywhere. You can go to work, exercise , food shopping, that was it. It was very clear at the beginning of April end of March time.
I have pointed this out to my MP in my email.
Not that it'll get me anywhere.
It became a bit more vague as time went on but those were the rules at first.

MockersxxxxxxxSocialDistancing · 24/05/2020 15:40

Carole Cadwalladerderderder has Tweeted about DC and why this matters.

She reckons he will be officially sacked, but will carry on in the background as an eminance grise.

JacobReesMogadishu · 24/05/2020 15:41

Has anyone posted this video from the donkeys playing outside DCs house?

I bet his neighbours are delighted to be living next door to the goblin.

attackedbycritters · 24/05/2020 15:42

Does DC have some kind of hold over Boris? Surely it doesn't usually take this long to say "you're out"

Michelleoftheresistance · 24/05/2020 15:44

Splodge a family member walked down to the shop this morning and said it's plain pretty much everyone in sight has decided fuck it. Big change from the past few weeks.

JacobReesMogadishu · 24/05/2020 15:44

Yes,I’m worried carole cadwallader is right. Sack him in name only. He carries on as some sort of freelance advisor with a different title. They’re arrogant enough to try it. Hopefully either MPs would drop him in it if that happened or journalists would dig and uncover.

Didn’t peter mandleson get sacked over something and then came back years later?

The80sweregreat · 24/05/2020 15:45

Lockdown is officially over now I guess.

SouthWestmom · 24/05/2020 15:51

New idea seems to be announcing an inquiry into his behaviour and then refusing to answer questions as there is an ongoing (never ending) enquiry.

OP posts:
Splodgetastic · 24/05/2020 15:54

@Michelleoftheresistance, yes, and it is concerning, because what if they decide to double down on lockdown because of this and we all get held in some kind of mass class detention? I don’t think it’ll happen though, I think we will just return to normal but with more face masks and no mass gatherings, like in Switzerland.

LarkDescending · 24/05/2020 15:57

BBC1 confirming we won't be hearing from a minister until 5pm.

munchbunch12 · 24/05/2020 15:57

@tiredvommachine I've just emailed my Conservative MP for the first time with this, thanks for including the template you used!
