I’m wfh with no idea when I’ll be heading back into the office, how about everyone else?

OP posts:
tamsintamsout · 16/05/2020 22:46

I am furloughed - I work for a charity. When I go back I will be wfh.

Campervan69 · 16/05/2020 22:46

Rainbow12e the day before the furlough was announced he refused to let me work from home. As the schools were closed by then he told me I would have to work reduced hours if I needed to look after the kids so reduced my hours by half. So annoying as others (men) doing the same job he allowed to work from home.

m0therofdragons · 16/05/2020 22:47

WFH 1 or 2 days a week and then in the office 3 or 4 - hospital management.

MamaGee09 · 16/05/2020 22:52

I work in a bar/ restaurant. I’ve been furloughed since 20th of March when we were told to close, goodness knows when we will be back, t h I’m quite enjoying having weekends to myself however I do miss working.

tabulahrasa · 16/05/2020 22:54

Not working at all, but not furloughed because I’m self employed...

Mumthedogsbeensick · 16/05/2020 22:55

Furloughed on 80% of pay. Work for an independent opticians but routine eye exams are currently suspended. I'm an optical assistant so can't really do my job until the optometrists can do theirs.

REdReDRE · 16/05/2020 23:02

Furloughed until June 1st. I wfh normally anyway with the occasional office trip so when I go back it will just be permanently home for a while. I'm one of just a few who wfh normally but my work are going to offer it to everyone long term and rearrange the office.

EndoplasmicReticulum · 16/05/2020 23:05

Self employed, lost most of my work. We're OK though as husband also self employed but has kept most of his.

Figgygal · 16/05/2020 23:08

WFH which is fine as did 2 days a week before this anyway
On a 10% hour reduction as our hours been cut by 10% but still working normal hours or more as so busy
Dh on furlough maybe until august
It’s going to be hard financially but it’s a life saver with the kids as before he was furloughed felt like was a shit parent

FrangipaniBlue · 16/05/2020 23:11

WFH but that's normal for me.

100% of the rest of the business are WFH and all been told offices won't be open until July and even then not gif all staff, on a needs basis only.

Muddlingalongalone · 16/05/2020 23:11

I did 2.5 weeks wfh before furlough. (100% pay Apr, 90% May so very lucky not to have a huge financial hit)
Going back to wfh after bank holiday. Not sure whether I will then be furloughed again after 2 weeks.
Wish the part-time furlough was starting 1st June instead of 1st August as with 2 primary aged at home as a single parent it would be perfect for me & employer.

HemlockStarglimmer · 16/05/2020 23:11

Furloughed on 80%. Hoping to get back to work at some point. I work for a national retail chain.
Better off than some colleagues who were made redundant a few days before lockdown.
Husband has wfh for years and is having to put up with me and our teenager being underfoot.

Muddlingalongalone · 16/05/2020 23:12

Not convinced I'll be back in the office this year tbh.

SoMuchToBits · 16/05/2020 23:14

Working in NHS hospital as normal. Except it's not normal. Things change daily. my ward has been closed, no idea where I will be working tomorrow....

Yellowcakestand · 16/05/2020 23:18

Half wfh and half in the office. They are slowly asking everyone to come back in though

bottlenose301 · 16/05/2020 23:20

Furloughed on 80% and as my company works in hospitality I can't see us going back in anytime soon. Hopefully in a few weeks. Hopefully no redundancies either Sad

pontiouspilates · 16/05/2020 23:21

Redeployed. I'm nhs staff and have been moved from my Children's Therapy community based role to working on a hospital covid ward. Out of my comfort zone is an understatement!

Pomegranatepompom · 16/05/2020 23:23

Nhs - more stressed but working as normal.

LBOCS2 · 16/05/2020 23:26

WFH, normal hours, normal pay. Will be for the foreseeable, we've been told. I can't really go anywhere until the DC are back at school or some form of childcare. DH is also WFH but his office seems to be trying to get people back in sooner rather than later 🤷🏼‍♀️

milkysmum · 16/05/2020 23:27

Mental health care home manager so I'm in work as normal. I'm a single parent, two primary school aged children, zero contact with their dad throughout.
School is open for them but on Monday to Wednesday only so I'm having to breech lock down and my sister has them the other two days. ( I was initially working from home on the Thursday/ Friday but past 3 weeks have needed to go back full time)

Waxonwaxoff0 · 16/05/2020 23:36

Furloughed. My job isn't possible to do from home so I will be staying on furlough until DS goes back to school. Although there isn't any work for me at the moment anyway so I'm not needed. I may not have a job to go back to if business doesn't pick up soon.

CB6783 · 16/05/2020 23:42

WFH and think I will be for months. Busy but not 100 mph like when in office!

ilovebagpuss · 16/05/2020 23:49

Was seconded from an office based role to an office role in a care home. Not the same role but I have experience and the home needed extra staff.
Kids home alone albeit part time hours. Taking some unpaid and paid leave to support them. It’s actually very hard the stressful environment coupled with guilt for not being at home I wish I had been furloughed but then I just try and be brave and get on with it there are those worse off.

GuppytheCat · 17/05/2020 00:02

Self employed. Work was sparse while my regular clients worked out how to do their end of things from home.

Now picking up again, but I usually do a lot of holiday cover. As no one is going anywhere, no one needed cover at Easter. The summer might be a washout too.

Mumoftwo0357 · 17/05/2020 00:06

Working from home but I always do as a freelancer. DH is working from home too, he doesn’t usually
