I’m wfh with no idea when I’ll be heading back into the office, how about everyone else?

OP posts:
Oblomov20 · 16/05/2020 21:02

WFH and going into the office. I prefer it in the office.

CMOTDibbler · 16/05/2020 21:02

I am permanently home based, and working harder than ever (our 6 person team has lost 2 members in the last few months, and now there's a recruitment ban so realistically I'll be 2 people until mid next year). DH is wfh and super busy as well. We both normally travel for work, so at least thats been stopped

Ffsnosexallowed · 16/05/2020 21:03

Usual place of work is closed. 90%of people who worked there are wfh. I'm working between any desks I can find at other sites.

Tinyhumansurvivalist · 16/05/2020 21:03

Still working full time in the office. I work for a distribution firm who supply to supermarkets. I am in the shielding group as is dd so not loving it. But I can't afford to not get paid and because we are classed as key workers I am not entitled to furlough so I am at work.

nowaitaminute · 16/05/2020 21:05

Both DH and I furloughed on full pay...

ElsasSalamander · 16/05/2020 21:05

Furloughed but back to work in the office from monday

Peggysgettingcrazy · 16/05/2020 21:05

Wfh. No expected back at the office until later in year probably new year.

Most of the company was furloughed. But now most are back. I wasnt furloughed at all.

saylor · 16/05/2020 21:06

SAHM and DH WFH, self-employed but may start going back to the office next month for 1-2 days a week.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 16/05/2020 21:07

Work in the office fulltime, and have done throughout.

stopandListen · 16/05/2020 21:09

Going into the office, usually work 3 days 10am-5pm but inky doing 10-2 as it's school hours and no wraparound childcare, both kids at school

AwrightDoreenTakeAFuckinDayOff · 16/05/2020 21:11

Working normally. Have been throughout.

And working extra to cover those who saw the opportunity to take a two week holiday for ‘free’.

Yup. Cynical. But I suspected who would go off and I wasn’t wrong. Only one more to go. Hmm

CraftyGin · 16/05/2020 21:11

I am teaching my full timetable via Google Hangouts.

CarolefeckinBaskin · 16/05/2020 21:11

Furloughed full pay.
Will be going back July all being well.

Clutterfreeintraining · 16/05/2020 21:12

I'm working between 2 & 4 days a week as a childminder. I've had two children (out of 16) throughout and another two started back last week. Monthly earnings down by 80% but will pick up again now the other two have returned. Can't say I'm looking forward to welcoming any more back before lockdown is eased...it was a hard week entertaining 4 children at home without our usual distractions.

cheapskatemum · 16/05/2020 21:12

Working as normal (support worker in children’s residential care home). It’s much improved now we can take them out, to the park etc

BatCrazyCat · 16/05/2020 21:12

Working as normal, reduced hours.

butterflyroses · 16/05/2020 21:14

Furloughed and not sure if I'll have a job to return to

userxx · 16/05/2020 21:16

Working as usual, I'd have lost my mind if I'd been at home.

Inaquandry19 · 16/05/2020 21:17

WFH, also had to take 2 weeks unpaid holiday but that suits me.

polkadotpixie · 16/05/2020 21:17

Working as normal (NHS)

I have no childcare now though (DM usually has DS) so I've been working 3 x 10 hour days and taking 7.5 hours annual leave per week to facilitate this

DH is working the other 4 days as he's a self employed gardener and has also been working throughout

LatteLoverLovesLattes · 16/05/2020 21:20

Furloughed.

Not sure what'll happen with my job. I have several underlyings and my job involves being in contact with international students & London commuters. But I was expecting to be made redundant in September anyway (change of provision)! But I may end up resigning instead if I don't feel it's safe to go back when required. There's not really a way of doing my job without a lot of 1:1 contact in an environment I can't personally clean.

I would like to WFH for myself again, but Still no idea what to do ?! (Previous businesses no longer viable).

Really need to work this out.

SallyWD · 16/05/2020 21:25

Working from home

OfUselessBooks · 16/05/2020 21:25

Furloughed for 6 weeks after spending the first 2 weeks wfh. Worried sick I'll get made redundant. Have had no contact from work whatsoever and I feel like they've forgotten about me. I'm looking forward to the announcement about how furlough will work in August as they'll have to make a decision one way or another then.

DirtyStinkinBass · 16/05/2020 21:26

Working as normal, manage a homeless hostel.

And yes it's an absolute nightmare.

RaininSummer · 16/05/2020 21:27

We are doing one week's work followed by 3 weeks furlough. Just starting my second 3 weeks. Not ideal pay wise but will try to enjoy it especially if the sun shines.
