New thread,

I won't be a very good host as I tend to dip in and out of these things but have filled up the last thread. (Sorry)

OP posts:

Has anyone had a crp test done? I'm tempted to get a medichecks one

Khaleesimother · 20/05/2020 07:55

@godhelpusall I had crp esr and fbc blood tests taken yesterday at GP surgery, waiting to hear back.

TheWooisStrong · 20/05/2020 08:11

I’m another long timer, had thought I was fully recovered. Had a busy day last week, did 10000+ steps and an online exercise class... then 3 days of tight chest and palpitations + fatigues.
I’m feeling “better” again today, but don’t plan to do anything that active for a while.

godhelpusall · 20/05/2020 08:38

@TheWooisStrong how many days are you? I got to six weeks had two or three good weeks then this last week I've felt a bit shit again. I feel ok today but it's hard to trust the recovery

TheWooisStrong · 20/05/2020 08:43

Um, sore throat started the Friday before lockdown, 20th March. I was properly ill for about a week, then it turned to a very rattly chest/mild pneumonia. Then for the past month lingering post viral issues. I’m very fed up of it all.

godhelpusall · 20/05/2020 08:52

Me too @TheWooisStrong . What are the post viral lingering

Egghead68 · 20/05/2020 09:10

Morning. Day 60/61. Mild sore throat and sinus pain in my forehead. Feel more fatigued than previous few days but resisting the urge to go back to bed.

Hope everyone has an OK day.

Mittens030869 · 20/05/2020 09:13

@baroqueandblue @LetsBeSensible I completely agree with you. Quite apart from the last 3 months of COCID-19 symptoms, I've been in poor health for some time, with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and PTSD. (I knew I would be at risk if I were to catch the virus.)

I hate people knowing about it, because it makes me feel vulnerable. I used to worry about asking for help from the GP surgery because of possible SS involvement as well, though I had to in the end, as private therapy became too expensive and I had to go through the NHS.

Egghead68 · 20/05/2020 09:52

Thanks @Moodgie - signed.

Norugratsatall · 20/05/2020 10:18

Just checking in. Not read any posts yet but hope everyone is ok and hopefully continuing to improve.

I've had the most dreadful dreadful night. I went downhill yesterday afternoon nausea and a dragging awful fatigue. Couldn't face any dinner so went to bed early. Tinnitus cut in at about 9.45 and went full throttle more or less all night. Got up at midnight and came down to take a piriton - it didn't work. I desperately needed a good night. This virus is slowly killing me or that's what it feels like. Am tempted to ring GP for sleeping tablets. Has anyone else done this?

MillStone · 20/05/2020 10:25

Hello everyone. Not posted for a while.

Day 53 or something.

Was doing quite well up until last week. 2 small walks a day and managing some housework.

Breathlessness had improved to a state where it wasn’t dominating everything and heart was nowhere near as bad.

Relapsed badly last Wednesday. Crushing chest, raging beating heart that makes my whole body jump, back pain, SOB on standing, head tremors, shaking legs, aching calf’s, extreme fatigue... almost passing out from exhaustion.

Last couple of day’s I can barely walk again let alone do anything.

I had pretty much every blood test possible again last Tuesday. Everything came back fine. No sign of infection, inflammation or any weird poisoning or disease. Nutrition was fine... cell counts fine.

At home I test My oxygen which is fine, HR is up and down a lot, blood pressure is a bit low.

On paper I’m fine...

got some medication being delivered shortly... can’t remember what exactly but a cocktail of anti anxiety meds and strong pain killers...

So over this now... I hear the 8 wk point can be a turning point. That’s this Sunday and I don’t know whether to laugh or cry at the thought.

I hope you’re all having a nice morning. It’s a lovely day which helps raise the spirits.

Norugratsatall · 20/05/2020 10:27

@Moodgie thank you. Have signed and will share on FB later. X

Norugratsatall · 20/05/2020 10:31

@MillStone so sorry to hear this. That's an awful smorgasbord of symptoms and must be frustrating that your bloods didn't show up anything....

I reached the eight week point at the weekend and it was a turning point but sadly not for the better. I hope you pick up again soon. 💐

MillStone · 20/05/2020 10:40

@Norugratsatall Thanks Smile

What is happening to us?!?

Can only imagine we’re all post viral and this is the after party show that’s the mother of all parties.

Ps... forgot to state I also tested negative for active C19 last week too — as expected.

My dr said they would ordinarily do a 24 hr ECG too... but the trust here has stopped them for the pandemic.

Egghead68 · 20/05/2020 10:50

I’ve been sent my spontaneity letters for 24-hr ECG and, separately, echocardiogram but they involve a 1.5 hour walk to get to the hospital and back (I can’t get a lift or use public transport as I am shielding). I don’t think I am well enough to walk that far...Crazy that I can’t just go to the hospital across the road.

Egghead68 · 20/05/2020 10:50

Spontaneity = appointment

Egghead68 · 20/05/2020 10:52

@MillStone there is a possibility that this is not just post-viral but that the virus keeps peaking and then receding. Someone posted a video about it a few days ago.

Sorry people who are having a rough day Flowers

Moodgie · 20/05/2020 11:11

@egghead68 @millstone Also a possibility of reacting to inactive bits of virus that we are still shedding, and also of a hypersensitive immune system.

Egghead68 · 20/05/2020 11:12

@moodgie yes good point.

Rosesofeyam · 20/05/2020 11:15

Day 63

Have been awake since 4am. Felt wheezy and have a sore throat,aches and pains.
I got up and decided I would be better moving around to ease joint pains. So, I sorted the laundry out and went to put a new load into the machine and thought I would go back upstairs to see if any towels were in the bathroom. Forgot about my chest etc. Shock and went fast up the stairs. I got halfway up when I thought my heart was going to come out of my chest and I couldn't catch my breath. I had to sit down upstairs for 20 mins.
I'm alright now but that scared me.
I'm my own worst enemy. Lesson learned today.
I am going to have to walk before I can run( up the stairs Grin .)

godhelpusall · 20/05/2020 11:23

So what does the Korean study mean for us? We aren't contagious and we do have antibodies?

Rosesofeyam · 20/05/2020 11:27

moodgie signed Flowers

MillStone · 20/05/2020 11:29

@Egghead68 @Moodgie

Hi both and thanks, yeah I did read those theories. it’s so all up in the air, isn’t it.

Egghead, is there no scope to have your apt. Moved? It beggars belief.

I currently subscribe to the hyper sensitive immune system plus the added anxiety and stress of the whole ordeal adding fuel to the fire.
