Oh I just realised I posted the photos from a binky sesh a few weeks ago. Doh! Anyway, you get the idea. Smile

That's so funny!

The news seems to be more positive today. Cases dropping, deaths dropping, the idea that just washing our hands before lockdown had a drastic impact on cases alone. Sweden's cases lowering even though they aren't on full lockdown. It's such a relief.

tobee · 21/04/2020 01:31

Thanks for the new thread!

I had my first fed up day the day before yesterday. As opposed to worry. Feel a bit better now but just been saying to dd how ridiculous that I get so little done with my days. I just seem to obsess about thinking about getting hold of enough food for everyone, planning food, worrying about getting delivery slots etc etc. Then, when food gets delivered, a big high () and then thinking about running out again (). Also, I need sweet things much more than usual. Fortunately, I lost 4 or 5 pounds worrying in week one so I'm just trying to not gain it back!

Lovely looking at all the photos. There's lots of beautiful wisteria out at the moment. I'm always jealous of houses with it.

@Randomword6 I love La Baule! Some years ago we stayed at next door Le Pouligen and loved strolling round to La Baule!

Arcadia · 21/04/2020 06:50

@tobee I am exactly the same. Getting fed up now rather than anxious. And think about food constantly as I have been furloughed for a month so nothing else really to do (other than homeschool my child who is competently homeschooling herself and has made it clear she doesn't really need me for that!).
I have been worried about getting good but that has settled down now as we are lucky to be able to get things easily where we are. DH having NHS pass helped us too in the first few weeks.

Doesn't want to post my pictures today!

Arcadia · 21/04/2020 06:59

@Elloello what gets me is that the appreciation doesn't tend to correspond with the effort I've put in!

Bunnyflop · 21/04/2020 07:55

I’m so pleased to hear about the news being more positive, I darent look myself so please keep posting to tell us of all the good news!

@tobee i agree about the wisteria- I adore lilac ones and there is a lot of beautiful ones perfectly arranged over houses around here. We put one in our garden and over three years it went totally out of control and we got one poxy flower spike on it that dropped after about a week. So we ditched it 😩

Also agree with everyone who says that sorting out food is a stress. We had a huge Sainsbury’s order including loads of frozen food (we normally eat fresh) and pasta in a bid to avoid the shops but the frozen fish we got turned out to be yuck and we got sick of pasta. So yesterday I donned my face mask and went to the mini Sainsbury’s. There was one idiotic fucker who was oblivious to the six foot distancing rule and kept ambling right next to me and to the staff but I came home with salmon, fresh vegetables and god knows what else and we now have nice food to last til Friday.

Welcome @Elloello and the other newbies/ lurkers! 😊

Yesterday was a bit shite in the end, topped with some bad news from work about my favourite person (nothing covid19 related). I felt like climbing into a cave and staying there

Must dust myself off and carry on. I have had a mini lie in, after taking a teeny dose of sleeping pill and OH just brought me a cup of tea in bed. Onwards and upwards ❤️

Spudlet · 21/04/2020 08:00

This is a pic from yesterday. We don’t have any bluebells nearby that I know of, but the forget-me-nots are really pretty.

There is a whole thread on the Coronavirus page about how empty the hospitals are. The news has become a lot less scary @Bunnyflop.

Benji13 · 21/04/2020 09:06

Morning all another lovely sunny day here today. Loving drying all my washing.

Know what you all mean about our obsession with food - and sorting 3 meals a day. Feel like I cook cook cook. Had another fab fruit and veg delivery yesterday this time included lovely bloomer loaves, crusty cobs, milk and eggs. Gutted though the eggs are caged 😡 Feel I can’t waste them tho.
Dh is going to brave Aldi later today. Hate any of us going to the shops tbh. We really need a stock up of toiletries and cleaning stuff. Oh for antibacterial spray/ wipes!!

For us cat lovers heres a piccy of the kittens we fostered in the autumn who went to a lovely home ❤️ We kept mum cat - our second ‘failed foster’. Such a shame as the rescues are all stuck atm as cant home check and rehome.

Morning everyone!

Lovely day here. I don't have much to report. I'm just so glad the sun is still shining. It has helped me mentally so much

Arcadia · 21/04/2020 09:45

@Benji13 I saw news item yesterday that RSPCA have now been cleared to carry out rehoming so maybe that will spread to charities etc? (I told DH we mustn't tell DD this as she's nagging us for a dog every day!)

Arcadia · 21/04/2020 09:48

Morning @Noooblerooble Smile
The sun makes such a difference doesn't it? But wakes me up bloody early! Angry

captainoftheshipwreck · 21/04/2020 09:51

Agree about the food - feel like I spend hours thinking about meals and trying to avoid the shops. Have tried to get into gardening (think quite small very overgrown, not much grass) and have actually really enjoyed attacking the weeds. DH and I cleared a bed and yesterday he planted some seeds. I had a bad afternoon, went out and did my manic raking bit, forgetting he had just planted a load of seeds. Not my finest moment Sad

magimedi · 21/04/2020 09:58

For those of you who are worrying about food planning try a 10/11 day menu.

Just write out 10/11 days worth of meals (go for easy , popular, available things ) & just rotate that menu over & over. I used to do it when DC were small & work was pressured. No one ever noticed but don't do a 7/8 day menu or someone will soon say: "Didn't wee have spag bol last Thursday??".

magimedi · 21/04/2020 09:59

we not wee!! Fat fingers!

VoyageInTheDark · 21/04/2020 10:55

Morning! I lost this thread for a while so just catching up. Love the holiday pics!

M0reGinPlease · 21/04/2020 12:28

Yet another lovely parcel has just arrived in the post for DD laden with activities and craft supplies. From a friend, but not someone we know that well- I've been overwhelmed by the amount of people who have thought of her and dropped off little things for her in the last few weeks.
