@MamaBearOnLockdown I think the fines system in France is good. it's better now it's been clarified a bit in the health and exercise sections, I do think when there are fines that they need to be completely clear about what you can and can't do, and the original attestation had the look of a rush job. I spent a lot of time looking for answers to questions the government had obviously not considered.
The whole thing does makes me anxious about going out at all in case I have made a mistake, so I suppose that's mission accomplished for the government. In fact I was making a mistake until an emergency services worker on FB actually told me that going to the pharmacy is shopping not health! I'm not bothering to go out for a walk, my 50m of private road has 3 house and the others are empty so I just walk up and down!
But anyway it would be good to include fines and maybe a similar form in the U.K. - I think it means you think about why you're going out and whether it's worth the hassle of filling in the form. I do think it's crazy that I can't go to my post box (50m) or the recycling point (20m) without it, and even crazier that no one can visit their allotments, but I try to forget about climate change, reuse the back of the paper for a shopping list, grit my teeth and only check the mail box 3 times a week!
We're very rural and I could probably break the rules and get away with it - have actually only been stopped at the border so far (only go out once or twice a week apart from the damn postbox).
At least no one here is trying to police whether my shopping is 'essential'!
