Once we all get released, the curve will go up again - so what am I missing?

As soon as shops, restaurants, schools open up again, then give it a couple of weeks and the rates of infection and then deaths will go up again.

So what am I missing? Why don't they leave us in lockdown until a vaccine is made?

I don’t see what the issue is. Just open the shops and let young people work. Anyone up to the age of fourty is ok.

If you open the shops people under 40 will go to the shops and will be the ones getting it. Its not that they dont get it but they are more likely to recover. They may still need hospital treatment. They may pass it on to vulnerable people. There are a large proportion who are obese, which is a contributing factor to having a serious reaction to it. They are not immune.
