No, but my parents have had one - addressed to my father only, which I thought was rather sexist.

Are you sure? Ours was completely generic, not even a “dear householder”.

EricaNernie · 08/04/2020 08:39

not everyone has access to the internet.

There was no addressee on ours at all.

I'm also in Leeds and ours also came yesterday.

It's not personally addressed, it's like the other unaddressed advertising stuff that the postie delivers, Dominos leaflets and the like. I wonder if the people who have opted out from this, and the Post Office have actually taken notice of this request will get it?

It's quite likely that the paper inside the envelope hasn't been touched by anyone, as it would have been printed, put in the envelope and packaged up by machine at some bulk mailing company.

Like a few others, it's going in the memory box as it relates to one of the most significant events of a lifetime.

WhateverHappenedToBathPearls · 08/04/2020 09:06

Yes ours came yesterday. I liked that the letter said there was 'one simple instruction' i.e. stay at home, yet the letter was accompanied by an 8 page leaflet of instructions...

Yes- this morning - Swansea. I felt a bit sad knowing he is ill. Then again i fell sorry for everyone suffering because of this virus.

EmmaGellerGreen · 08/04/2020 15:50

Yep. Arrived this morning, straight in the bin.

HairyToity · 08/04/2020 15:51

Yes but it's in quarantine, so not opened yet. Agree waste of money in my opinion.

lynsey91 · 08/04/2020 15:54

We got our yesterday. What a complete waste of money. Typical of him and his government.

I ripped it up and threw it in the recycling bin.

That £5 million could have gone to the NHS

ThePittts · 08/04/2020 15:56

We got ours on Monday

BlueBrian · 08/04/2020 16:12

Sitting on the doormat where it can stay, until it gets chucked in the recycling bin along with all the other junk mail.
