Got another one today. The first one came yesterday.

Like others have said just reiterating what's already been said over and over again already.

Frownette · 07/04/2020 20:28

Not yet

inflam · 07/04/2020 20:31

We got it today.

Are people seriously not opening mail for days rather than simply washing their hands though?

How odd.

Murinae · 07/04/2020 20:34

Yes got ours.

AvocadosBeforeMortgages · 07/04/2020 20:35

Mine came today

Sparklingbrook · 07/04/2020 20:36

Apparently so @inflam, I was being a bit tongue in cheek. I actually opened the rest of my post (and washed my hands) but figured Boris's letter could wait as I know what's in it!

Elieza · 07/04/2020 20:37

Yes. I’ve kept it in case I forget everything that everyone is saying everywhere.

Stay at home.

Oh look I remembered. All by myself Grin

EasterIssland · 07/04/2020 20:37

Yes. Felt sorry for all those trees involved

Ohfrigginghellers · 07/04/2020 20:38

Yes in north yorks

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 07/04/2020 20:38

This will have cost them about 50mil. Surely that's better spend elsewhere?

reefedsail · 07/04/2020 20:38

Yes we have. I'm a KS2 teacher and I've kept it to use in the future as an example of persuasive writing!

Milomonster · 07/04/2020 20:39

Yep arrived yesterday. C London.

AmelieTaylor · 07/04/2020 20:41

5m they said

Complete waste of money.

I don't even think anyone who is so off grid they don't have a basic tv or radio will get anything out of it.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 07/04/2020 20:42

18p a letter? To print, stuff, and post? I don't think so.

Letmegetthisrightasawoman · 07/04/2020 20:42

@reefedsail I'm secondary English. I was thinking of doing the same thing. Could also use it as a clanger of an example of inconsistent register ("level with you" is informal and therefore inappropriate in such a letter)🤦🏼‍♀️ Found it a bit lacking in persuasive/ creative devices tbh.

Kuponut · 07/04/2020 20:43

Yep - it went straight in the bin although the kids were quite impressed by us getting a letter from Boris... until they realised he hadn't personally written it.

Snowdown24 · 07/04/2020 20:45

Yes, keeping it for my youngest who is currently 4, they can look back on it when they are older as I imagine this event will make history.

MereDintofPandiculation · 07/04/2020 20:46

To those of you throwing your Boris letter away ...I can't find it now, but there was an excellent video doing the rounds showing how to fold your letter into a facemask,

blubellsarebells · 07/04/2020 20:47

Got ours today, someone on another thread said they would be good for kids to stick in to scrap books or journals.

reefedsail · 07/04/2020 20:48

@Letmegetthisrightasawoman I haven't actually read the whole thing yet- does he actually write 'level with you'?? I just peered into the envelope and shoved it in my school bag to file. It doesn't need to be a good example does it! Grin

I did make note of the grave looking font and crest though.

vera99 · 07/04/2020 20:49

No I reckon the overworked posties are chucking loads in the bin. Anyway we can read it online for what its worth.

blubellsarebells · 07/04/2020 20:50

My son is writing a daily journal, i told him he is living through a historic event and his writings might become a source for gcse history in the future.
Cant say there are any particularly compelling entries so far.

Jinx2020 · 07/04/2020 20:53

Yes - in N.Ire

PicsInRed · 07/04/2020 20:53

I feel desperately sorry for Boris in his present state but this thread is hilarious. I think Boris would approve. Grin

mamalovebird · 07/04/2020 20:54

I got mine today! DH thinks we need to save it, like a ration book.. for history!
