Thanks @Elllicam, @TheDrsWife46, and @hollytom.
I tried the GP again. You can’t call you have to fill in a 20 page form, so I sobbed my way through that and then the GP rang straight back, apologised and we had a good chat while I cried. She referred me to the care of the local covid monitoring team. A GP from there called me (took 4 hours, which I thought was okay) and was lovely. Went over all my symptoms. Checked through my medical file. Says he think its unlikely to have effected my heart. But gave me instructions on when to call 999 - mainly around gasping for breath or pulse ox readings going down. He said he thinks its Covid but then said (nicely) but of course no one knows as we have no tests! I felt this was hard for the docs as well. He will call me tomorrow and the next day. I feel reassured.
I think the something missing in all of this is support for those struggling at home and the psychological impact of having (thinking/being pretty sure you have) something that is potentially really nasty.
Yes I have palpitations @mumlurker but no heartburn. If it happens when the virus is on its way out, I’ll look forward to it.
That pain sounds awful @baroqueandblue, I feel for you. My pain isn’t as intense. It is dull and then I have sharp twinges. Mainly in the left side of my chest. And if I lie down, its like someone is sitting on my chest. I had ‘kidney’ pain for a couple of days and then it went suddenly. I think the pains and the fear of the pains is what has pushed me to tears today.
I have fibromyalgia @Sulusu. How are you doing?
