Honestly, I have not been out now for over 2 weeks with my DC. We took them for a drive today round our village for 2 minutes out the house.... people were still out chatting to each other and letting there DC play on the parks!!!

WTF is wrong with people? Its not just about the Fing virus anymore! Don't you all get that....

People are having cancer investigations AND treatments stopped! And this will carry on for as long as this virus is here! People are going to DIE from cancer and other illness' because people are to SELFISH to stay in doors!!

My poor DM will more than likely lose her best friend of 50 years to cancer as her op has been cancelled! And then to top it of she probably won't even be allowed at her funeral if it comes to it...
But no one gives a shit. As long as they can get out and do what ever it is they want to do!!

Selfish tw*ts.

Do you know, I’m getting a bit fed up with being told to 'stay at home'.

People ARE allowed out. To exercise, to work and to buy food or medicines.

You don’t know why people are out.

Some people are taking the proverbial, but most aren’t. You don’t know which it is when you see someone out.

What stresses me more is when I’m shopping and some shop workers are not even bothered by personal space, let alone keeping their distance (and it’s often the younger ones).

Sparrowlegs248 · 01/04/2020 22:06

I was thinking about this earlier. Right at the start of all this, I spoke to the gp about ds2 tummy issues. They basically said they were discouraging visits to the surgery and to wait and see. It seemed to clear up for a week but is back again. I am concerned, and am going to call tomorrow but anticipate being told there's nothing to be done while this pandemic is playing out. So his tummy issues are likely to go ignored for months. Let's hope it's nothing serious.

TTTs · 01/04/2020 22:08

@Nottalotta exactly anything other than Covid19 is now a NONE issue on the NHS. 'Sorry we cannot help you with that' is the answer we will all start to receive !

WorraLiberty · 01/04/2020 22:10

Have you all had to self isolate?

TTTs · 01/04/2020 22:11

@Destroyer I know what it is when there is clearly multiple families stood in a group chatting whilst their DC play on a park!

I am clearly not talking to the smart people who go out for their daily exercise on their own and don't stop to chat to their pals!

Oh God, this has been done to death. Including in the ads when you're trying to chill with some crap TV. WE KNOW!

Sparrowlegs248 · 01/04/2020 22:12

@TTTs a friend's mum's mastectomy was cancelled too. The day that the operation was due to happen. It's terrible.

twinkle2306 · 01/04/2020 22:13

I mean why did you go out in the car?

TheFutureMrsHardy · 01/04/2020 22:14

We went for a dog walk yesterday, and were flagged down by a neighbour. She was having a horrendous time with her ailing DH, and she wanted someone to talk to and some practical help inside the house.

We'd have been absolute arseholes to have ignored her or told her we couldn't help. She can't even get a GP out, let alone care staff and she's buckling under the strain.

I hope the Government have to publish the figures for those who died due to lack of medical care due to this outbreak. I suspect those numbers will far outweigh the Covid numbers Sad

Pukkatea · 01/04/2020 22:14

Of course YANBU but like seemingly everything these days, you're going to be told that it's not the fault of those doing it and it's actually your fault for nagging too much and saying things people don't want to hear.

anotherlittlechicken · 01/04/2020 22:16

@TTTs Hmm

TTTs · 01/04/2020 22:16

@twinkle2306 DH went to the garage for bread and milk, he is the only person leaving the house and only for supplies, DD was crying because she wanted to go with him so we went for the car ride only, obviously as a 3 year old she does not understand why she cannot leave the house!

Amibeingunr · 01/04/2020 22:17

My neighbour has cancer and had her operation cancelled. My other neighbour in her 50’s and a key worker, had a few friends arrive earlier, wine in hand. Beggars belief.

TTTs · 01/04/2020 22:17

@TheFutureMrsHardy My friends dad is a paramedic he is seeing a LOT more deaths and not just people with the infection or symptoms of it!

twinkle2306 · 01/04/2020 22:19

@TTTs unfortunately I don't think you can moan and then not follow the guidelines either. DS hasn't been our for 3 weeks now it's tough but it's safe and following guidelines. Think you need to think about that before having a go at others.

TTTs · 01/04/2020 22:19

@Amibeingunr People just don't care, until it is them or their family member then its all over social media - It's not worth it please stay inside!... what like you did? Smh.

chocolateorangeinhaler · 01/04/2020 22:20

Cancer ops and treatments such as chemo are still most definitely happening. It's just elective surgery that's stopping.

Gruesome2some · 01/04/2020 22:20

But you can leave the house unless you are vulnerable or have symptoms. We are all at home and go for a walk/bike ride everyday with the kids. We don't stop to talk to anybody and fully abide by the government guidelines. This is hard enough already, don't make it any harder!

ToTheDoctors · 01/04/2020 22:20

But you went out for a drive with your dc Hmm

Nousernameforme · 01/04/2020 22:20

I was thinking about this re the gp's and covid-19. Seeing as anyone with Covid-19 is going straight to 111 and then hospital as and when needed why are the gp's so busy?

Obviously clinic can't happen like normal but phone appointments should still happen in place of regular appointments and have a bit of a quicker turn over as well you would think.
Prescriptions which you can get made up and delivered to you without having to leave the house shouldn't be an issue either.

So are Gp's much busier than usual and if so why? Not being goady genuine question.

TTTs · 01/04/2020 22:21

@twinkle2306 Sorry were have I not followed guidelines? We did not go out just to go out if you read the thread.

Dustyroad63 · 01/04/2020 22:21

Well op instead of moaning about other people you did something we are not supposed to do. You went out for a jolly in the car with the whole family.
I don't give a shit what you do but don't be moaning about other people when you are breaking the 'rules' too.

WorraLiberty · 01/04/2020 22:22

DD was crying because she wanted to go with him so we went for the car ride only, obviously as a 3 year old she does not understand why she cannot leave the house!

But she can leave the house unless you're all self isolating.

And she should do too. There are too many people taking little to no exercise at all, when they could quite easily have a run around the park and not come anywhere near the other park users.

Imissthebeach · 01/04/2020 22:22

Yes my asthma nurse said (via telephone) there’ll be many deaths from untreated asthma attacks.

Shortage of inhalers, no asthma appointments via nurse or GP as it’s a cough related illness, any cough is being treated as covid (stay home) & if you have no fever you aren’t deemed serious enough for a paramedic / A&E.

Our A&E is now closed to non corona patients. Not sure Id last a 60 min drive to the next hospital Confused

IHaveBrilloHair · 01/04/2020 22:22

You went for a drive.
What makes you special?
