Why is there a queue of over 200k to get on the boots website at nearly 1am?

Just seems a weird time for so many people to be waiting to buy from them all at once

Have I missed anything?

All those people who'd usually get stuff from supermarkets or corner shops but can't now.

I couldn't get paracetamol anywhere else. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I needed face wash as well and knew Boots had 25% off so thought I might as well.

I finally got onto the website but they didn’t have what I needed anyway (formula and kids multivitamins) :(

Oh damn, I'm after kids vitamins too! And other things...

15 minutes to go...

I just got to single figures - 9 minutes - then it went up to 10 again

This website is playing games with me!

It lied.

My 18 mins the only reason I stayed on turned into an hour but never said above 19.mins

I see that they have removed the number of people in the queue now 🤷‍♂️you can only see the time

There is a message on the website stating that Boots is not selling coronavirus testing kits. However the queue is still 40 minutes long

Nope, but it was the only place I've been able to buy paracetamol since this started. No local shops have it in stock and we only had about 4 in the house. None of us have Coronavirus at the mo, but just in case, I don't particularly want to go through it without any medication at all. I don't think that means I have lost my mind. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think that for some families the limits imposed in the supermarket on how much you can buy not only mean they cant buy enough but also cant use offers that would normally run.

Alongside supermarkets cancelling their delivery and amazon running out if hygiene products unless u wanna pay 9 quid for 10 pads theres not really anywhere else u can go now..

It took me 8hrs yesterday just to get through the queue of 150,000 people then when I got into boots website, what I needed wasn't in stock. What a waste of queueing 😢

And to the person several comments down asking. What I was queueing for was dentinox colic drops they are sold out in every supermarket that stock them and in store at boots and in the pharmacies nearby.
