Why is there a queue of over 200k to get on the boots website at nearly 1am?

Just seems a weird time for so many people to be waiting to buy from them all at once

I keep trying the Boots Ireland site and apparently over 30 thousand people are currently trying to access the site. There can't possibly be that many people here wanting to buy from Boots at this time of night

Well, nothing anymore! Decided earlier that I’d rather try in store/elsewhere instead of faffing with this queue, I left the tab open in the background though. Don’t worry I’m not staying up late because of the queue

Well if they are selling “testing Kits “ that could explain it .

I have no idea why the website is so busy now. It was normal on Tuesday. The testing kits aren’t on sale yet (but apparently will be within days). Perhaps they’re preparing their website in advance

I think it's a bit weird. Last week I had no problem popping onto boots site multiple tones to check for out of stock items. Suddenly there's a massive queue. Why no queue last week yet this week everyone and their maiden aunt needs boots!I I wonder if they are struggling and don't want to say they've suspended new orders so have just put this permanent queue page in place???

Yes I don't believe it. Just checked again. There's no way there are other 200,000 people waiting to access the Boots website at 2 in the morning. That's ok too if the people on the website. I do not believe them. Odd marketing strategy though. One way to really annoy your customers.

It might be because Next closing their delivery arm has triggered a big worry for many of us.
I know I bought all my kids birthday presents online tonight - his birthday is 1st June. I worried that soon we will be able to get nothing delivered.

Just a thought.

Everyone has the same idea that after midnight is a quiet time to try. Some of them will have multiple tabs open.
