Just been and picked up shopping from a delivery van in a car park. Didn’t have to touch anything, wiped fridge stuff down or left boxes in the sunshine for a while. I was surprised at the number of people with masks.

At the traffic lights a woman in the car next to me coughed repeatedly into her latex gloved hand, maybe it’s just we notice more, I was horrified to see that she turned into the car park of a large children’s hospital. If she is coughing like that she shouldn’t be going anywhere near it. Let’s hope she at least takes those gloves off.

I am a royalist but it's amazing prince Charles got a test isn't it? And this is why people call for a Republican country.

He apparently has it quite mildly so far, but he still got a test.

I think I'm just in a major grump today.

The numbers coming out of Spain are harrowing, was it two or three weeks ago that the football match took place in Liverpool.

CharlieTangoBanana · 25/03/2020 10:50

@Eeyoresstickhouse private tests are available so I understand

Angryrant55 · 25/03/2020 10:50

Scotland is testing more than England and he is in Aberdeenshire.

BNO - 'BREAKING: Spain registers 5,552 new cases and 443 new deaths, raising total to 47,610 cases and 3,434 dead.'

'Data from Spain 03/25
New record number of deceased yesterday: 738
We surpassed China as the second country in the world in total deaths'

CharlieTangoBanana · 25/03/2020 10:51

@Eeyoresstickhouse the banks seem to be struggling too, I made some payments last week and they took two days to go through

Two weeks since the Liverpool match. The city was heaving with fans from Madrid. I saw loads milling around the city / tourist spots while on my lunch break.

I try hard to judge individual's actions but this one is an exception. Now if the landlady or her family was in a high risk group I'd say yes possibly but the Dr tried to explain the low risk to her. What the hell does she think about all the health care workers going home to their families every day? Thankfully there are far more compassionate and sensible people out there.

Angryrant55 · 25/03/2020 10:54

Spain has more daily deaths than Italy with it only being 10 days since lockdown. Spain will end up with a worse peak than Italy.

DadDadDad · 25/03/2020 10:55

@Eeyoresstickhouse - I wouldn't call myself a royalist, but given the Queen is in her nineties, and Charles is next in line to the throne, I think it's entirely sensible to protect his health. If the Queen dies at this time, that will be an additional shock to our country in a time of crisis. Whatever you think of him personally, he is symbolically important to our constitution.

It was on 11 March, exactly a fortnight ago ... oh, and Heathrow at least is still receiving numerous daily flights from Spain and Italy among others

Arent you mixing Spain and Italy I thought Spain was 514 yesterday (in which case isnt this a slight drop)

Eeyoresstickhouse · 25/03/2020 11:01

Just an update we all got our pay eventually. Someone who did the payrun at home hadn't clicked something or some other excuse. But we can eat yayyyyyyyy.

Spain gives more than one update a day unlike Italy.
