I did, I got 20 :(

Don’t know what to blame other than myself really

tobee · 27/03/2020 08:44

I did Sky's Friends one though! Grin

Callimanco · 27/03/2020 09:01

Can I gently clarify that it isn't half of Iceland who have the virus but are asymptomatic. It's half of those who have tested positive who are asymptomatic. The percentage of people testing positive is way below 50 percent, I think iirc they said about 2 percent of those tested.

StCharlotte · 27/03/2020 09:05

I got 26. Particular fails were TV/film and, surprisingly, music. I blame ignorance Grin

IdrisElbasLeftTesticle · 27/03/2020 09:22

I didn’t do the one last night, but some friends and I did one the night before. Our team came (joint) second - out of 220!

Daffodilpasta · 27/03/2020 09:52

@ACupOfTeaSolvesEverything I’m so sorry to hear about your Mum. Mine died when I was 5 and in my down/ irrational moments it’s obviously a fear of the same happening to my DCs. You’re bound to feel raw, and it’s really hard living with a partner with depression.

Please try and remember a non smoking 42 year old female (I am also one for a couple more weeks) is incredibly low risk re covid. Initial estimates of death rates are very low in this category, and likely to be lower still as we don’t know how many asymptomatic people are out there. Please do speak to your GP - and Virtually to all the fantastic posters on this thread as needed

Daffodilpasta · 27/03/2020 09:53

Just realised that sounds a bit odd - I’m turning 43 in a couple of weeks, not planning on taking up smoking!

shinynewapple2020 · 27/03/2020 10:04

Looks like another sunny day here - it was cloudy first thing but the sun and blue sky are coming through now.

Going to have my shower and clean the kitchen then will get out in the garden with my dog. I like to save my walk for later in the afternoon so I have something to look forward to 🙂

Am going to make myself some soup for lunch as I've noticed that being at home I've been eating less healthily than normal as I've just been having cheese on toast or soup in a tin.

Millie2013 · 27/03/2020 10:40

Morning all, just thawing out after queueing outsude the pharmacy for 30 min to be told that DD’s inhaler is OOS. I felt sorry for the poor pharmacy assistant, she looked so stressed
I had to pop to the little Tesco again as I’m shopping for us and neighbours and understandably, they’re limiting the number of each thing you can buy.

My mum is currently making cherry scones for us and neighbours and later she’s making sausage rolls. I’m trying to home school DD, but she moaned that the work I’d set her was too easy 🙄 Off to find some harder stuff...

Beautiful sunny day here. Gladys says good morning.

Morning all. Had a bit of a sleepless night last night as on reflection, what the local volunteer group (not a proper NHS one) was asking me to do wasn’t reasonable or in line with what we’re being asked to do by the government. Sent an email explaining that I wouldn’t be able to help and why this morning and feel better now, though.

The sun is shining again today so looking forward to getting outside in a bit. We’ve had a very slow start to the morning and DS and I are only just dressed! Snack and coffee time shortly, then we’ll go out to play.

Not sure if this is good news or bad but Boris Johnson has Coronavirus! Shock

ExpletiveDelighted · 27/03/2020 11:41

Much as I dislike him, I feel for him, his partner is pregnant.

Arcadia · 27/03/2020 11:43

I agree @ExpletiveDelighted

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 27/03/2020 11:48

Like the vast majority of people, he has it mildly, so I don't see any need to be too concerned. Except about his pregnant partner, obviously.

And once Boris has had it and not died, and Prince Charles has had it and not died, and a few more people like Tom Hanks have had it and not died, perhaps the general perception that you can have it and not die will be strengthened.

Callybrid · 27/03/2020 11:49

Morning everyone.

I’m having a bit of a moment right now - DP and I had a small argument the day before yesterday and consequently he spent the whole of yesterday not talking to me, not sharing meals etc. Normally I’m quite good at getting my head down and just getting on with it when he sulks, and the children are being pretty lovely at the moment, but just now I realised my heart was beating faster (in an anxious way) every time we passed each other and the stress and sadness of living in this tense relationship at this time with no other real-life people to chat to for respite got to me a bit.

It is also raining up here (Edinburgh) and I had hoped to get out for a lovely long walk. I want the spring sunshine back!

Hugs to those of you also struggling with difficult feelings/anxiety etc.

My positive things this morning are making cookies and finding some colouring in postcards to do - v relaxing.

gingerbreadslice · 27/03/2020 11:53

@IdrisElbasLeftTesticle I'm pleased for you smoking is such a crap habit I don't know why I've started again or even continued I'm going to try again this weekend. Love your username by the way Grin

T0tallyFuckedUpFamily · 27/03/2020 12:09

I had written a big long post about Boris but then decided, this is my happy place.

So I’ll just talk about my favourite subject. Me! 😁

One positive thing I was looking forward to, when I had to close the business, was having long lie ins. I used to work seven days a week (dog sitter, so long days and no lie ins) Not happening. Dog had me up at 7am yesterday and bloody cat had me up at 6.30 am. It’s a good job I love the wee shits.

On the plus side, because I was up so early, I’m finally getting on top of my laundry mountain. Yay! 🥳

I absolutely love your wee dog, Alsohuman. I really miss the cuddles with my little guests. Please give gorgeous Gladys a big cuddle from me.

T0tallyFuckedUpFamily · 27/03/2020 12:11

Callybrid, I hope the positive you can find out of this isolation, is the fact that you now have time to sit and think if this is what you want to live like for the rest of your life. I’m sorry he’s being a dick.

Arcadia · 27/03/2020 12:12

@T0tallyFuckedUpFamily I have started bouncing out of bed at 6am - it's totally unlike me!

Yes, that’s what I found weird too. I normally try to get back to sleep, but just decided to get up this morning. I wonder if it’s because we’re not as busy as usual?

M0reGinPlease · 27/03/2020 12:18

I think most of us have probably had it- bring on the antibody tests!

Another gorgeous sunny day here. All the windows are open. Starting CBBC Malory Towers with DD later. I'm excited!

Arcadia · 27/03/2020 12:25

@T0tallyFuckedUpFamily it's partly the fact that it's getting light early and it's sunny at the moment as well which helps!

T0tallyFuckedUpFamily · 27/03/2020 12:29

That’s true. There were posters on another thread wishing the lockdown happened during the winter, because it would make it easier. I’m so glad it’s happened during the good weather, as the dark days depress me. Although I can understand if people feel that way because they don’t have outside spaces and look forward to days out.

On the other hand I’m also looking forward to the odd rainy day, because the fair weather walkers will stay in and I’ll be able to take my youngest out for a walk. She’s socially isolating.
