No chance of getting it on even before I saw the shoes. Pointy shoes. Pointy light brown shoes. Just no. Now, a nice pair of n

SistemaAddict · 23/03/2020 13:30

Ffs. A nice pair of polished conker brown brogues is a different story. But still no.

Imerc · 23/03/2020 13:37

I'm just scared for my dc. I would honestly rather children were evacuated than stay here wih us. Can you tell me your opinion on I being airborne old queen ? I read a study on influenza transmission, it's abou the same size and spread through aerosol significantly

Quartz2208 · 23/03/2020 13:44

@imerc evacuated to where exactly? Everywhere has it pretty much all countries.

If as I suspect your are in London stay there, stay in that is all you can do. London and the South East have 20% of England hospitals. if you leave all that will happen is you spread it and then have to go back to a urban hospital anyway.

Children are the SAFEST of all the ages. Very few get it anything other than mildly so they will be fine

ofwarren its a strange choice of words because he says it has taken them to death door not that they are still at it. Its hard to gauge from that

SistemaAddict · 23/03/2020 13:47

It's not the blitz. Evacuating isn't going to help anyone. The opposite as it will spread it round more. Everyone is being told to stay at home. Their primary address home.

MarshaBradyo · 23/03/2020 13:52

There’s no point evacuating. You are just taking it with you.

Coquohvan · 23/03/2020 13:53

@Marsha 3.45pm today

mrshoho · 23/03/2020 13:54

@Imerc Where would you want the millions of children in London to be evacuated to? Calm down and just do what we are being asked to do. We are in London too and we just have to sit it out. Be thankful you're not going into work in our hospitals putting your own health at risk.

MarshaBradyo · 23/03/2020 13:55

Thanks Coquohvan

bananacakeZ · 23/03/2020 13:57

Ffs we need a solution appropriate the the situation. Evacuation here would be the opposite of appropriate.

Bombs doing on children = move them out of harms way. Versus people infecting each other by coming into contact = make them stay inside away from each other. Is it really that f*cking difficult to understand?

Imerc · 23/03/2020 13:58

It's a lie that children are safe and only get "mildly". I knew that before two near me were admitted to hospital because they couldn't beathe.seeing people taking it so not seriously yes they are selfish if they then travel and spread. But I'm in the 1% using PPE outdoors and staying in as much as possible, I've my dc off school for weeks and disinfect groceries. My primary concern is te safety of my child. I'm sorry

Telegraph - '18-year-old died off health issues unrelated to coronavirus diagnosis

An 18-year-old who died of an unrelated illness after it was confirmed they had coronavirus is understood to have been treated in hospital in Coventry.

In a written statement, Professor Kiran Patel, chief medical officer for University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, said: "We can confirm that sadly a patient who was being treated for significant underlying health issues has passed away at University Hospital, Coventry.

"They had also tested for Covid-19 on the day before they died but this was not linked to their reason for dying." '

That the case mentioned on here.

Telegraph Breaking News - 'BREAKING | All shops except supermarkets, food stores and pharmacies set to be ordered to close by the Government.'

Will banks keep open - be a muggers dream if they shut and everyone had to use the cashpoint. Plus a lot of people would either need payment holidays bcause paying a bill online is a struggle for a lot of people and you wont want people going to relatives to help show them in person (if they even have internet access)

bananacakeZ · 23/03/2020 14:03

I hope the corner shops where people top up meter keys will not close, I'm guessing not as they usually sell food

IronNeonClasp · 23/03/2020 14:06

grannycake - blood on their hands. Should never have gone ahead. That concert; 2 marathons and the races same weekend...

Also Friday final pub celebration - awful awful awful.

Rinoachicken · 23/03/2020 14:09

@Imerc

I’ve read quite a few of your posts over the last few threads and I’m sorry to have to say this but they do read as verging on the hysterical. At one point you were even worried about there possibly being more serial killers out in the countryside!

Everyone is worried for their loved ones, you are not the only person with children in a city setting. But running away to a forest or evacuating your children is not going to help.

You just need to sit tight and do what is being asked of you, and try really hard to get your anxiety abit more under control as that’s really not good for your kids to see how terrified you are.

Horehound · 23/03/2020 14:09

@Angryrant55 that doesn't seem right. Pharmacy and food stores? Nah.

Imerc · 23/03/2020 14:09

Banana cake it is easy for you to avoid people I bet

mrshoho · 23/03/2020 14:10

oh a head teacher has died in Furness 😥

Angryrant55 · 23/03/2020 14:15

Of course through for older people they might not be able to get anyone to top it up for them - not sure people will trust anyone but a public official or a trusted friend or relative - some people sadly don''t have any of these.

ofwarren · 23/03/2020 14:16
