Does anyone know when they will announce the measures for the vulnerable in terms of the 12 week thing?

He did suggest this weekend but I don't know.

What is the advice if you live with the over 70?

cjt110 · 19/03/2020 13:34

What is the advice if you live with the over 70? I would hope those in/around that age will be covered. My FIL is 78. My MIL is 67. Although yesterday she was at a knitting session in the museum!

Students Could Get A "Mini Exam Session" In The Autumn If They Dispute Their Grades
Exclusive: One schools leader who met with government this week said grades would be awarded by "moderated assessment" with potential exams in the autumn.

Students are likely to be awarded their GCSE and A-level grades this summer based on a combination of predicted grades, mock exam results, coursework and teacher assessment — with a possible exam session in the autumn for those who feel their grades are unfair, a schools leader has said.

For those with crushed kids.

LBC reporter is now feared to have coronavirus and is being treated for pneumonia in a London hospital t.co/Y6vaua2zhh

RedToothBrush · 19/03/2020 14:08

I'm led to believe the BBC at Salford has a lot of members of staff who have suspected cases and staffing is proving difficult.

Horehound · 19/03/2020 14:13

When I was in A&E with sepsis last year, I kept my Facebook updated 🤷‍♀️

PoisoningPigeons · 19/03/2020 14:14

So.

Thank goodness yesterday we took DDs out of school (had decided this at beginning of the week). And DH finished his last bit of on-site duties and is WFH from now. Yesterday also we received our "final" online supermarket delivery, in which hardly any of the store-cupboard items was available. So thank goodness we hadn't run down all of our Brexit stash and also we saw how things were going so have been gently restocking for over a month.

Some time yesterday PM I started a tickly throat and mild occasional cough. Today throat is a bit more tickly and I've been coughing slightly more frequently. No other symptoms or discomfort, could well be some random winter bug.

But I guess this means our household is going into self-isolation for 14 days.

Helenj1977 · 19/03/2020 14:14

Yep. Either a massive jump or very small. Depends on if they did increase testing.

SistemaAddict · 19/03/2020 14:14

Our school has released their key worker info:

 Firefighters and other related staff in the Fire and Rescue Services
 Local Authority staff (Environmental Health Officers, Planning officers etc.)
 NHS Workers

 Prison Service and Probation Service Staff
 Social Workers, Educational Psychologists and Therapists employed by Local Authorities or NHS
 Teachers and Nursery Nurses
 Delivery drivers
 Highways Agency Staff

That covers a lot.

Today's figures will be published later this afternoon.

We are working hard to provide you with the latest information and will tweet this out as soon as possible.

SistemaAddict · 19/03/2020 14:17

Monk: it's just from the school trust.

Helenj1977 · 19/03/2020 14:18

That's not good

Angryrant55 · 19/03/2020 14:20

I think Linda means something like she is mostly confined to bed like having a heavy flu but not at the level that she is close to being hospitalised.

OP posts:
danni0509 · 19/03/2020 14:20

What does that mean? Higher than expected? What do you reckon

BeyondMymymymyCorona · 19/03/2020 14:25

Oh I forgot to say - this morning a random stranger brought me a months worth of food for my pet, left it on the doorstep and refused to take any money for it. The world hasn't completely gone to shit :)
