Finally got on to website after having my usual weekly slot cancelled. Got on and managed a slot for tomorrow eve, so happy as was in the queue all week. Couldn’t amend my shopping and so it just got cancelled.

Well I am out of luck then. I have only been with Ocado since Feb of this year and currently on the 3 month free pass. They haven't been delivering in the area that long so not sure I could have even signed up in 2019. As it is a computer says No situation there is no way round it, but not a great move at encouraging me to remain as a customer. When they send me the 'please renew' email I will tell them then, no point now.

Looks like I will stick with Sainsbury's, for the time being at least, I only got my 12 month pass in December but they are equally as shit* so who knows after that.

*They are shit because of a distinct lack of communication and any that has been has been bordering on the rude and aggressive.

I wonder if they will let you cancel the smart pass if you aren't given slots. I only got it earlier this year as I finally decided it was worth it (before all this started) and it seems because of this we wont be getting any more slots. I don't want to pay for a service I wont be getting especially as we are going to have a hit on our finances because of this.

@solina Absolutely . I also have Tesco Delivery Saver and will be contacting them to get an extension/refund as there are zero slots available now, even Click & Collect.

Oh that email looks like a glimmer of hope. Queued from 10pm to 1am last night to be told there were no slots.

I’m a smart pass member and have been for yonks, but maybe they’re prioritising the members who haven’t had orders placed recently, I’ve had one this week and have one next so presumably this system will work it’s way around to me in time. If it works, it seems very fair , and they’re including vulnerable customers in the priority booking too.

I assume that they do have enough capacity for all smart pass customers once a week, because most people buy the pass because they do use it, so I’m guessing that they’ll roll out to Anytime first, then Midweek, and then if they’ve got any spare capacity left decide whether to allocate it to designated vulnerable or to other customers in order of how regular they’ve been in the past.

In practice I suspect that a lot of people who do get slots will be using them themselves if they really need them, or using them for the benefit of vulnerable family members like I do. Most Ocado-using younger families will probably have a grandparent or aunts who needs a hand surely. That way the government-run support can be saved for the people who don’t have any family members who can help.

Though relieved I’ll be able to order for at risk/self-isolating relatives who aren’t SmartPass holders.

Hmm. Am but a simple midweek pass owner. However I DID get today's shop and logged in to see that next week's hasn't been cancelled, only the reserved shops after that. Hopefully in 1.5 weeks we'll know more about what's going on.

I have the Anytime Smart Pass and got the email today too. I’ve been an Ocado customer for about 14 years so it’s nice to recognised this way. Hopefully this system will work.

Can someone look at their email for when they pay for the pass and say what it says

Mine clearly says no delivery fees but not Anytime just Smart Pass name

I realise this is a small thing but it’s bugging me!

I'm glad vulnerable customers and long term customers are getting priority but I have been a member for about 4 years... Most of that time and an any time member so why should a new anytime member get priority from only January?

They might be sending the emails in the groups, so we might just be in a later group. So those who got the emails first might then get a priority access slot tomorrow, and so on?

I wonder if you can book for another address? This way my parents can get some independence back as they can use alternative week slots with me, at the moment it’s been such a bunfight to get in ive been ordering as per their list, but I know they’d much rather choose their items themselves

I have been a smart pass customer for nearly 10 years and haven’t got an email. However I do have a reserved booked next wed and another on 15/4. I’m hoping to get one for 8/4. We usually get two deliveries a week.
