Hello. Are you in the Ocado virtual queue? What position are you?
Would you like some company?

I must admit it’s a bit frustrating knowing people have multiple slots booked when I can’t get even one in the next six weeks. Sad

TheGreatWave · 26/03/2020 12:31

I managed to get on and cancel Monday's order but now I can see nothing past then. Every in the slot I cancelled it is no longer showing availability.

Maybe they have decided that delivering to the great unwashed of the north east isn't worth it.

112,040!

WHAT the actual fuck.

Got on this morning, filled my basket, no slots. At least my basket is ready when slots become available.... if they ever do...

BatSegundo · 26/03/2020 13:15

Luunaa I'll take your 112, 040 and raise you 158,464 WTAF indeed.

WinstonWolf · 26/03/2020 13:15

The uncertainty is making me really anxious. A bit of clarification from Ocado as to how the future slots will be released etc would help massively.

I'm a weekly regular due to being a disabled lone parent, and as dd is in shielding group and I am "vulnerable" we're not leaving the house at all (which is quite normal for me as I can't physically do a shop for us normally).

I'm totally reliant on Ocado.

There are no slots, odd restrictions, and as they've taken off the offers it's increased the prices massively Sad

YoursTunbridgeWells · 26/03/2020 13:24

I too need clarification @winstonwolf

I could find slots for today yesterday but that's no good when I need one frm 9th April onwards. Nothing absolutely nothing.

So I'm clogging up their queue by logging in on as many devices as possible and refreshing in the hope slots might magically appear. Selfish - yes. But don't know what I'm supposed to do as if it's pot luck this gives you a good chance.

They need to say something to customers - someone on here booked for 19th April - I can't see anything in terms of calendar beyonf 5th still. I don't get it.

MustBeDueSomeBetterFeet · 26/03/2020 13:24

@winstonwolf

Absolutely! The thing is that, given I haven't got any deliveries past 7 April, it makes me think I'm going to have to buy more than I should in that shop just in case (where I can of course).

bruffin · 26/03/2020 13:26

I cant see anything beyond sunday, they really need to explain exactly whats going on, says now i cant edit until tomorrow for saturday

powkin · 26/03/2020 13:35

Has anyone managed to get a waitrose slot? All I've seen when I've gone on there is 'slots full' - never seen it change.

FlamingoAndJohn · 26/03/2020 13:41

What I understand with offers is that they come from the manufacturer rather than the supermarket. I think it’s the manufacturer knowing they can charge full price because people will buy without an offer.

Word of warning here.
I just went on to add a couple of bits to my order due and 8pm tomorrow and I was unable to edit. I’m sure that it said I could edit up to 8pm tonight.

bookgirl1982

My reserved slots haven't been reserved automatically.

The one for Monday gone did, but the one for a fortnight's time already said failed.

So, don't assume it will work.

JonHammIsMyJamm · 26/03/2020 13:47

2hrs in the queue and no slots. It is so frustrating that they don’t tell you before you queue.

Aragog · 26/03/2020 13:48

Went to look for a slot in 3 weeks time but I am position 162165, so thing thats no chance again!

wondering7777 · 26/03/2020 13:51

Totally agree with this! It seems to be getting worse by the day Sad

wondering7777 · 26/03/2020 13:56

I gave up queuing earlier today as I wasn't getting anywhere, and closed the browsing window. I just went back onto the Ocado site and bizarrely, got straight in!

It's still saying no slots for the next three days though and won't let me look further ahead than that, so not much point really.

FreakStar · 26/03/2020 14:04

The website does now say that there are no future slots available for general release. Only those that have received an email saying they are elible for priority access can log on.

So it looks like maybe anyone who is classed as vulnerable is getting an email? I wonder if that is existing customers who are vulnerable- or the whole population of vulnerable people?

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 26/03/2020 14:04

Ocado have really pissed me off with no slots and no communication at all

I'm able bodied but I'm a nurse so the whole family is avoiding going anywhere in case I take covid 19 in to work with me. My patients are all highly vulnerable. We are now facing having to go out to do the sodding weekly shop which I haven't done for 10 years! That's how long I've been with ocado, it's ridiculous I know but I do feel less stressed about going to work if outside contact is bare minimum.

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 26/03/2020 14:06

And just to add, I was something ridiculous like 10000th in the queue last night after work and the wait was 4 hours, way Past my bedtime.

FreakStar · 26/03/2020 14:06

I wish my vulnerable parents and in-laws used online shopping, or even had access to the internet- they would have made everything easier for everyone!

MoveOnTheCards · 26/03/2020 14:07

I completely agree their awful communication is a massive issue. We’ve used them for ten years too (very happily, no issues before) and now I’m feeling hugely disappointed by how poorly they’re managing this. I appreciate they are under a lot of pressure, I don’t understand why they can’t help their customers with some simple communication.

wondering7777 · 26/03/2020 14:11

So it looks like maybe anyone who is classed as vulnerable is getting an email? I wonder if that is existing customers who are vulnerable- or the whole population of vulnerable people?

I'm not sure how they would identify which of their customers is vulnerable though?

I'm heavily pregnant - does that count as vulnerable?

For what it's worth, I'm still seeing this:

"If you do not have a delivery booked, we have very limited availability over the next few days. This is constantly under review and we are releasing slots as soon as they become available."

YoursTunbridgeWells · 26/03/2020 14:15

How do you know somone is vulnerable? There are plenty of people now on a 12 week lockdown for medical reasons. Ocado won't have a clue who they are unless they are over 70. ANd not all the over 70s are highest risk

wondering7777 · 26/03/2020 14:15

They're now saying this on their Twitter page about reserved slots too Confused

We do apologise, we currently have limited availability so we are unable to honour the Ocado Reserve slots. We advise to log onto our website to see if there is a suitable slot you can manually book instead.
