The Ocado Queue Thread.

Hello. Are you in the Ocado virtual queue? What position are you?
Would you like some company?

There seem to have been only occasional slots available since their closed down their app. No one seems to be able to book any new slots, only queue to edit a currently held slot.
I wonder how they plan to open up new slots, it's just going to make their system go into melt down again! 🤔

Aaaargh! Have been in the virtual queue for hours on a tab on my laptop while working from home. Got distracted and didn't check it for a while then came back to find I was on! Hurrah! Until I clicked on something to find I was booted straight out and back to the back of the queue! Anyone any bright ideas for avoiding missing your go without staring at the screen for hours? I do have a delivery for Sunday to be fair. I was trying to book another for 10 days or so after that. Not sure if that's even possible to be fair...

I don’t know if it’s different because I have a smart pass but I got in the queue at 10.30 this morning. There were around 30k ahead of me and it said the wait was 4 hours. I was on after 90 minutes, several slots showing in my area for tomorrow. Also looked at my parents’ area as have their address on my account and slots there too. Booked a delivery for tomorrow with no problem. As far as I could see there are only slots for the next 3 days and you can’t book any further in advance. There are slots though if you’re prepared to wait.

@ACatCalledLola where are you roughly? Haven't seen any slots at all in W London since this all began

There were slots for tomorrow, we're in London. The whole day tomorrow was free, lots of things unavailable though, but managed to do a decent shop with some essentials.

When I looked on Saturday, they had a whole bunch of slots open for Monday 23rd March.

That's good that slots are beginning to be opened! I haven't bothered to try to queue as every time I looked, it was all blanked out. Might make it worth while now. I have a delivery in a weeks time that I booked ages ago but our supplies definitely won't last that long!

I'm actually in the Asda queue, took one of the last slots available, it was going fine, then I took 20 seconds to look at the ingredients of something and it threw me back into the queue again! So if you try Asda, keep it moving!

We keep getting kicked out as well, the queue doesn't last for the hours it says but there are not delivery slots at all6

Still no answer about whether they will cancel existing deliveries where you have more than one in a week. They encouraged us to book so got one for elderly relative. Still showing in the system.
Also I have one for Friday and it looked like I could have booked for tomorrow

I can't seem to get any lower then 12,000!

Just tried and it said we have no slots available, only stay in the queue if you're trying to edit an order.

I'm going to set an alarm for 5am and try then!

Same thing happened to me! Is it going to be like this for months?

I finally got to the front of the queue 2 mins ago, no slots and only showing dates for next 3 days. so I ended up having to leave the website without doing anything.

Me too @MintTpls , I couldnt edit my saturday order at all and my trolley was full, which i think is my reserved order that has been cancelled. Ive emptied the trolley but it still wouldnt let me edit my order.

How strange- I just logged on- straight in to edit with absolutely no queue! Half an hour ago when I looked there was over 9000 so I'd closed it as my edit wasn't that important!

Does anyone have any clever insights on this one? I've been number 158, out of a fluctuating number of thousands, since 5am. My slot is only March 31, so I'm hoping I'll suddenly gain access as the date approaches. Anyone had success?

nearly- this happens if you have other tabs or windows open! Ocado has to be the only thing you have open- you couldn't have two tabs for example and look at mumsnet and then flick bak to ocado!

I guess there's no point sitting in the queue if there's no slots anyway.
