The Ocado Queue Thread.

That was what I was thinking I have loads of latex gloves so enough for each time. Also wash fresh, quarantine non fresh.

I have an order due next week so I wonder if I will still get that, hope so.

I didn’t think about that, I just put stuff away!
I guess one of the bonuses with Ocado is that things haven’t been in a shop and handled by loads of random people.

I just managed to get onto Ocado, both this week and next weeks prebooked slots are showing up but I can't see anyway to amend it at all, and then the reserved slot from the next week is showing cannot be completed, delivery slot full... how can it be full when it's supposed to be reserved before release?

My order for Sunday is saying I have to make changes by 9am today but still not allowed to add anything so still just the option to receive the £46 bottle of whiskey or cancel for me! Not answering calls or replying to any emails about this issue apparently!

Wouldn’t it be a little unreasonable to expect them to respond to individual queries right now?

They’re obviously straining every muscle to keep going - presumably we can’t add to orders because at any given minute there isn’t a single extra item that hasn’t already been allocated.

I’m much more worried about what happens if they cease delivery. Or if my phone dies.

Got the email for my order due later. One item out of stock (produce), everything else (milk, eggs, bread, loo roll) all in stock and on their way.

@SurpriseSparDay I'm worried that a delivery driver, who could be somewhere else, delivering actual food to someone who needs it, will be at my house delivering a bottle of whiskey I'm going to have to give straight back to him and there's not a thing I can do about it now despite my best efforts.

After DH whined a me, I went back to my Asda order to add mince. They updated my basket. Virtually none of it is coming. Including the meat. the cat food. Any of the sauces I ordered. Fresh pasta.

And they already know they won't have this by Tuesday.

My Ocado order came this morning, 4 very sensible substitutions ie one brand for another.

That's ridiculous. That's one of the reasons I stopped using Asda. I imagine the stuff that's gone out of stock when you amended wouldn't get delivered anyway. I've had that before, it warns you some things will be out of stock if you continue amending but even if you cancel the amends those things don't come anyway. It's doing my head in all this. Those of us who didn't selfishly buy vast quantities of stuff are just trying to do our normal weekly shop. I've been in work all week as a teacher dealing with all the anguish of my students, dealing with kids being sent to school with CV symptoms while others have been in the supermarkets buying everything in sight. Sickening.

I’ve had my e-mail this morning.

Just missing a tin of soup and some spaghetti hoops. Has 3 sensible (change of brand) substitutions. I’ve got toilet roll and eggs coming.

I couldn’t get onto to the site through the link till very late last so couldn’t amend my order. There were a couple of things I would have taken off, including the toilet roll, but all looking good so far

Hairy, my sympathies. At 8.28 you said you could still cancel, can't you do that now?

My order arrived this morning. No lamb mince no pork mince and a couple of sensible substitutes.
Eggs, flours, tinned tomatoes and beans, loo roll all turned up.
I do hope website is up and running again soon.

Order came this morning with everything we needed. I'm just doing usual 5 day shop. People need to get real about what they actually need.

@Noflora no! They took that option away at 9 am! I didn't cancel before cos was assuming that when it opened to all for new orders at 9, I'd be allowed to add stuff then but I can't. I have another order for the following Sunday too which I can't amend either.

Surely the minute the website is up again it will get overwhelmed?

Expecting order this afternoon....only a couple if things missing so thats not too bad at all. Should we be wiping down the packaging etc?

Mine turned up on time this morning only a couple of missing items and a few reasonable substitutions.

We are ordering slightly more due to DH no longer eating at work. I suspect this must be a pattern nationwide that people are making more of their own food and not buying work lunches or eating out.

So presumably food needs to be diverted from restaurants and cafes to supermarkets, which is not a straightforward issue.

Our local stores are all well supplied it's just the bigger supermarkets that have some shortages.

I just went on and edited my pre booked order for this coming Friday. Lots of stuff available, no lag, no problem.

Were any of you able to book a slot for another week while you were on the site?

Yes, MrsBennetsnerves, I was able to book a slot for next weekend. Calender seems to be working fine.

How are you getting on the website??

So.. wait.. let me get this straight... those lucky people who had orders for this weekend can now go on and book up all the next slots.

With apologies for those of you excited by this that seems a bit harsh on those who cannot.
