I thought he'd be bed ridden?

Not everyone will need a ventilator but enough people will that the NHS will be TOTALLY OVERWHELMED

They only have 5000 ventilators and they are already running out of oxygen

Already

Wake up !!!!!!

Hey you lot, get in line behind me!

"HeresMe your comment that celebrities are effectively pretending to have it to stay in the public eye is the worry.

Honestly, what a ridiculous thing to suggest."

You mean that people don't do it say things things to stay in public eye, you are really naive every opportunity is open for them, Jessie smollet anyone.

Celebs use lots of opportunities to make money and further careers.

OhioOhioOhio · 16/03/2020 22:11

Thank you. Sorry if I seem naive.

Am I the only person who wouldn't know the guy if I tripped over him in the street :o

theflushedzebra · 16/03/2020 22:12

People like Idris, Tom Hanks and Justin Trudeau are not about be denied a ventilator by an overstretched health service. Let's be real here. They have little to worry about.

mindproject · 16/03/2020 22:12

I think testing is almost a waste of time. You could test negative one day and then go to the shop the next day and pick it up.

The celebs are promoting the testing of it. They'll be promoting the vaccine next, you watch.

foamrolling · 16/03/2020 22:12

What Toria said is actually pretty vile. I should imagine if you have 'raging health anxiety' you aren't 'salivating' over updates at all. You're probably locked in your own personal hell. I just read a post from someone who has anxiety and she's suicidal. I hope she hasn't also had to read sneering posts from arseholes mocking her mental health problems tonight. Shame on you.

Tana433 · 16/03/2020 22:13

@CSIblonde You are a superhero ! If you need an understudy to take over just let me know. We dont all wear capes but we must all do our bit in these troubling times!

FlamingoAndJohn · 16/03/2020 22:13

Don’t forget that he is a very fit man (well I assume so, he looks like he is) so I’d guess he’d not be hit so badly.

HeresMe · 16/03/2020 22:13

Oh and if it isn't about publicity why announce that you have it, there is no reason to announce it.

Iggly · 16/03/2020 22:14

Yes and then get tested for it.

Jesus wept people are fuckwits.

Isadora2007 · 16/03/2020 22:15

It’s good he has announced it so people keep in mind that it can and often is mild and asymptomatic ... good news needs spread too.

Iggly · 16/03/2020 22:15

You suggested they’re pretending they have it for publicity which is a pretty shitty thing to suggest.

MauriceandAlec · 16/03/2020 22:15

Because the vast majority of people are not bedridden or die from it.

mindproject · 16/03/2020 22:16

Iggly - are you going to keep testing everyone every day then?

OhioOhioOhio · 16/03/2020 22:17

I didn't at all suggest that.

WorriedAboutMom · 16/03/2020 22:18

This is why it's so dangerous. You could be transmitting the virus to others (including the vulnerable) as a carrier and not know like most children for example.

Iggly · 16/03/2020 22:19

Nope. But if the government was hotter on testing then they could trace contact of those who have had symptoms and close down infection rates.

Other countries have done it (eg South Korea ), so why can’t we?

Iggly · 16/03/2020 22:21

Because the vast majority of people are not bedridden or die from it

So..... we should just let the elderly and vulnerable die then?

@OhioOhioOhio my post wasn’t directed at you.

HeresMe · 16/03/2020 22:22

You mean no celebrity would ever do that I'm sure in coming weeks some celeb will promoting something related to this, how naive are you.

Iggly · 16/03/2020 22:26

I’m not a tool who thinks the worst of people. What does an actor have to gain from saying he cannot work for weeks as he self isolates?

Honestly, you sound ridiculous.

mindproject · 16/03/2020 22:26

I heard some people are going round pretending to be medical professionals, offering free tests, then robbing people in their homes. Just thought I'd make people aware of that.

Crinkle77 · 16/03/2020 22:27

Come on look at the man. Could be ever not look same fine?

Crinkle77 · 16/03/2020 22:27

Damn fine that should say!
