Sorry if this has been done already, but wondering if you’re sending your kids into school tomorrow. Just reply with a yes or no. Intrigued to know what everyone is planning on doing. Thanks

No , 3 of mine are of school /college age , one has life time lung issues ... I can’t without fully knowing the effects on her or others ( no one fully knows the Implications this will have on Health going forward) let them be apart of this mass heard plan !

Nope in Ireland all schools closed and I'm a teacher so we are all home for the foreseeable. Thankfully I'm still being paid.

No.

One has a history of really tricky asthma. I've stood at his hospital bed too many times to be comfortable with this - I don't trust the government approach.

They are all home schooling, even the one in her exam year. They will close the schools soon enough, the education is going to be horribly disrupted for the rest of the academic year, so, I'm bailing early and trying o reduce the risk for my asthmatic kid.

Yes, our city has 7 confirmed cases out of a population of 500,000, so I think it is proportionate that the schools remain open.

Mine are 15 and 18. Both asthmatics. I've discussed the situation with them and said they get the final choice as hey are old enough to make a decision about their own health and concerns.

DS, 15, who has been hospitalised with asthma has chosen not to go. DD, 18 and at college, is still considering what to do. If she goes I will probably take her there and back to avoid public transport.

I'm lucky that I can work from home for the majority of the time.

It concerns me that we aren't taking note of the lessons learnt from Italy. And acting against the advice of WHO. So people can share the water bottle video and the theory of herd immunisation. BUT this is a new virus and this is one theory amongst others. And sees a lot of people die.

Even if they stayed home both me and dh work in public facing jobs that are open so we'd be in contact with whatever dcs would be in contact with on buses and in school and bringing it home to them

yes - but I am very concerned. I wouldn't blame anyone who keeps their children at home for whatever specific reason

I'm thinking all schools will shut by Wednesday

I just don't know what to do. My youngest has health issues as do I but I'm highly anxious we'll get in trouble as her attendance is already quite bad. I'd have to keep my other two off also to protect her so I'm just so stressed. I hate we're not being given the choice Sad.

The schools are going to be closing very soon anyway. They will have to learn to cope without their education for a while.

Yes. Think schools will shut by the end of the week so may as well keep this week as normal as possible.

no. I refuse to send them into school which is only open for economic reasons to give parents free childcare at the expense of our health. They are trying to string it out till the Easter hols. I have a child doing GCSE exams with asthma - I don't want to risk it
