Ordinary family, no underlying health conditions. Booked ages ago, kids v excited. Father determined to go, mother wobbling a bit.

Yes I would go but probably wouldn't spend too much time in the crowded areas eg restaurants. And I'd probably give the lodge a big clean when we got there!

Sirzy · 10/03/2020 07:19

Go. Have fun.

ShowOfHands · 10/03/2020 07:19

There's a coronavirus topic and a thread re Center Parcs already in it.

missinginactiongeorge · 10/03/2020 07:20

yes, I would go. Usual hygiene rules for Coronavirus, wash hands etc.
In fact, it'll be half empty I reckon, so fill your boots.

Ikeameatballs · 10/03/2020 07:20

Yes I would.

Vintage2020 · 10/03/2020 07:20

I’ll have your apartment if u don’t go Grin

Alb1 · 10/03/2020 07:21

Yes I would go, there’s no advice not to and I doubt that will change by the weekend. I think it’d be an over reaction not to go personally.

DappledThings · 10/03/2020 07:21

I would, DH wouldn't.

magnarocks · 10/03/2020 07:23

@ShowOfHands link me up please

Nanny0gg · 10/03/2020 07:32

Nope. Not worth it

Jeezoh · 10/03/2020 07:38

Yep, I’d go for sure.

lastqueenofscotland · 10/03/2020 07:39

I’d go

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/03/2020 07:43

No I wouldn’t.

heldom · 10/03/2020 07:44

We went last week. Business as usual and it was packed!

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 10/03/2020 07:44

Yes I would go.

Deadringer · 10/03/2020 07:46

Absolutely yes

namechanger2019 · 10/03/2020 07:47

We are due to go to Centre Parcs in Holland for Easter and are having the same conversations in our house.

WanderingLost1 · 10/03/2020 07:48

I would be uneasy but would go!

If you didn’t go, would you be self-isolating? If not, there’s your answer.

Pippioddstocking · 10/03/2020 07:49

I would go

BigSandyBalls2015 · 10/03/2020 07:50

Yep I’d def go

Theresnobslikeshowb · 10/03/2020 07:50

Nope not worth it. I’m the type of person that will pick it and just be a carrier, then come back to the elderly and vulnerable people in my family. So for me, the risk isn’t worth it. Even if not going only reduces the risk by 1% it’s still a reduction.
Basically you have to risk assess yourself as your family and make a decision.

Cocoayoghurt · 10/03/2020 07:51

Yes. I got back from centerparcs yesterday.

Butterwhy · 10/03/2020 07:53

I would, you're just as likely to pick it up out and about where you are at the moment probably. Take some cleaning stuff maybe just for a bit of extra reassurance. I wouldn't go abroad though.

Cam77 · 10/03/2020 07:54

Don’t they have those big warm enclosed swimming areas? No I wouldn’t go. And I base that not on the fac that there are 300+ cases in the UK, but on the possibility that that could be, say, 3000+ in a week’s time. But there is risk in everything. And given the government isn’t really clearly communicating it’s strategy with the country (I think Boris Johnson’s strategy started and ended with “ride Brexit chaos to become PM and hang with Trump”) people have got to make their own judgements.

speakout · 10/03/2020 07:56

No.
