All ocado slots all gone

I usually do a shop on saturday for sunday night or monday and they have all gone next availability is Thursday! Im guessing due to coronavirus thats why i put in here. My daughter bas autism and it can be stressful going shopping , i find it stressful too! Ocado was perfect for us now ive got to go shopping 😣

Get Waitrose to deliver instead

I had no problems with my Sainsbury's order this morning, no subs or omissions either...

Use a different supermarket?

Ocado did send email out a few days ago to let people know they were very busy and slots were going fast
I’ve got a delivery coming this morning and have one booked already for next weekend

If you can’t get another supermarket delivery then try click and collect - you won’t have to go around the shop.

Ocado sent emails warning that they were extremely busy about a week ago.

They did send an email saying demand was unprecedented at the moment.

And by sending that email they will have hyped people up and made even more people shop in advance which just makes it a self fulfilling problem

Yeah I got an email last week too saying the slots were getting booked quickly, especially at the weekend

I'm not surprised. They emailed saying that demand was high and to book in advance. When I looked that wasn't the case. Just looked now, no slots until Wednesday evening- we normally have Tuesday morning and only book it Sunday/Monday.

Just booked for Wednesday, I'll book one for next week later.

The email really won't have helped. It gets people panicking and booking slots they wouldn't normally have done.

I had similar. Went to book my slot yesterday's evening for Sunday or Monday but can't get anything at all until Tuesday evening. It's daft.

Yeah, I booked on Sunday night to arrive on Monday night. Happened to look mid week and had to book on Thursday to get a Monday delivery for the 9th. It's definitely changing.

And yes, it wasn't the case earlier in the week pre email. I went on a looked and could still get next day deliveries.

Really. I spoke to my delivery driver last night who said he was no busier than usual. (He also mentioned his wife was struggling to get their Tesco order done though......)

Actually, after saying that, I’ve just gone to look and I couldn’t get a slot before Thursday where normally I’d be able to get tomorrow if I wanted.
Luckily I have a regular slot automatically booked anyway.

Sainsbury's has been as normal here. I get a delivery on a Monday though so might be less demand then generally.

I looked the day they sent the email and there weren't any slots for the next few days. They sent it on a Friday and the next slot was a Monday I think. Perhaps it varied by area.

This thread prompted me to book my usual midweek delivery slot at Tesco, they were all available but may not be by the time I usually get round to it on Tuesday.

It's ridiculous. I tried this week, I could get a delivery slot within a few days but they were out of all the basics - loo roll, tinned tomatoes, pasta. Went to Lidl in person instead - totally full shelves. Much cheaper too .

I am the only one whose life is clearly dull as shit and has the same Ocado slot every week and books 3 weeks worth of slots at any one point in time?!

Must get out more.

Do a Morrisons online shop. They pack their orders from a warehouse, similar to Ocado rather than someone selecting it from the supermarket shelves so it's very rare to get substitutions.

Amazon (Prime, Fresh, Pantry, Now) has most things.

When they stop the Harrods deliveries I shall panic.

It may depend on whereabouts in the country you are / how many drivers there are / how many people use it in your area. I booked a slot yesterday for today. No problem.

After reading a thread about loo rolls on here, I checked Ocado and sure enough, only the cheapest and most expensive ones left! I think I have about 70 left from the last Costco shop though, so I'm not too worried
