Not sure on location time. I hope they dont just sat east, south etc?

Skyejuly · 06/03/2020 10:26

I'm a cleaner and usually purchase dettol etc as my elderly clients prefer this. I had noticed stocks low now but I stocked up in jan. Not noticed low loo roo. Just no gels but I tend to use bar soap.

FingonTheValiant · 06/03/2020 10:43

My school trip for the end of April was cancelled by our head today. I sent a text to the other teacher accompanying me to let her know and she’s replied “Why?” That’s it. Seriously? Hmm How can she not know why? All overseas trips are cancelled, and our primary section has just announced they’re cancelling 22 planned trips within France as the government has announced we’ll be upgraded to stage 3 within days or a couple of weeks. Some people really don’t pay attention outside their bubble.

@FingonTheValiant do you know what the best source of info for French cases/locations is? In French is fine, I'm fluent. We are supposed to be visiting family who live in the countryside in Isère, flying into Lyon at the end of April but I don't have any info about cases in the area. Family there are no help as the are of the 'it's just flu' mentality.

Sunny360 · 06/03/2020 10:53

Someone posted this website on a past thread for latest location info @Cheeseismylife

Seems really good. I’ve kept it on an open tab now

Sunny360 I don't think that map is up to date unfortunately -it doesn't seem to include the Liverpool case for example.

There are a lot of people who aren't worried. I know a lot of people still going on holiday if they can. I don't know anyone who is as worried as me. My boss maybe but that's because our company will suffer a lot this Summer.

Find the local paper for the area online. It'll be much better than a national round-up, if also possibly more dramatic.

Belgium reports 59 new cases of coronavirus, doubling the country's total to 109 t.co/eUoE2b20hL

AvocadoOwl · 06/03/2020 11:13

Worldometers has passed 100,000 now.

PotholeParadise · 06/03/2020 11:14

I've no idea if this is the area you want, because my French geography is non-existent, but this is an example of what local papers are doing.

Wow, Iran has had a big jump in confirmed cases overnight.

youkiddingme · 06/03/2020 11:19

Sorry if this has been asked, and I have missed it, but is there anywhere to check which specific towns and cities in the Uk are affected please? I know it's in a city about 10 miles away so I'm guessing it will be all around the area very soon, but it would be good to have some definite info. I'm one who will happily wear a mask and gloves if I need to go out - I just think why not - but family will want a lot of encouraging.

DH has had four migraines in a row and I really want him to see someone but I also don't think the GPs is a great place to be right now. Argh.

My kids school has sent an email saying that a parent has tested positive for CV19, apparently they’ve not been in the school for a month but both of their children are going to be in isolation for 2 weeks.
The school has taken advice from DofH & DofE & isn’t closing & all children are expected to attend.
I’m in N London.
