namechangemania · 06/03/2020 16:39

@sparkly72 thank you. None in my county yet, phew (so far)

NettleTea · 06/03/2020 16:39

where is the PHE breakdown of LA area

Eeyoresstickhouse · 06/03/2020 16:40

Glad to have the list and see that our county is still clear. Worried for MIL in Cornwall though. I still wish they would release the town!

NettleTea · 06/03/2020 16:40

just seen link

Cheeseismylife · 06/03/2020 16:40

Ooh thanks. There's actually none near us for the moment.

From the PHE Website -
Coronavirus (COVID-19): number of cases in England

www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-number-of-cases-in-england/coronavirus-covid-19-number-of-cases-in-england

Showing a break down per local Authority .... But looks like the figures are only correct as of 09:00 yesterday (5th March) As it is not showing any cases in West Berkshire, so is not including the patient who passed away at Royal Berkshire hospital in Reading

Skyejuly · 06/03/2020 16:41

Hmm 8 waiting to be added.

None in suffolk but is in essex. Only a matter of time.

peridito · 06/03/2020 16:42

AutumnRose I'm in London as well and I hear you .I am retired so,unlike my son ,I'm not travelling on packed Jubilee Line to Canary Wharf every day .

I don't care so much if I get it but I desperately don't want to pass it on to others . I would avoid say Croydon if I knew there were a number of cases there .

Skyejuly · 06/03/2020 16:43

Hmm yes is actually yesterday's...so kind of means nothing.

Momof2boys1girl · 06/03/2020 16:44

@Sunshinesky1981what does 1-4 mean?

sparkly72 · 06/03/2020 16:45

1-4 cases

usernameishistory · 06/03/2020 16:46

@CharlieTangoBanana
Im so sorry this has heightened anxiety over your health.

You do have your own extea considerations to manage in the face of this disease and I personally don't think its unreasonable to take additional steps to keep yourself protected, as well as to keep your levels of anxiety under control.

It is your decision course, and decent family members will understand and respect what you feel are necessary short-term measures surely?

Take care Flowers

I was certainly in the minority disinfecting my seat belt, tray etc on a flight today.
I also seemed to be the only woman in the airport toilets washing my hands with soap for 20 seconds.

daisypond · 06/03/2020 16:47

I’m in London, travel 3 hours a day by public transport to get to work and back, have cancer, and there are cases at my hospital. DH is immuno suppressed. I’m expecting to get it. Just want to stop my elderly parents coming to look after us.

ofwarren · 06/03/2020 16:47

So does that list only update once a week?

peridito · 06/03/2020 16:49

Thank you Sunshine . You'd think they might offer an explanation for
1 to 4 !

Maybe it's where 1 person is dx and tests are awaited on close family members ?

BilboBercow · 06/03/2020 16:50

Would you guys just carry on as normal if you had a cold?
Pretty sure it's just a cold. DD had a runny nose etc last week and now I'm a bit flegmy and achy. Sore throat but no cough, no fever. Like I said, a cold.
Normally I'd just take paracetamol and get on with it but I don't want to worry other people and there's that tiniest concern that it might be something worse (unfounded I know) and what if I infected someone?

JemimaPuddleCat · 06/03/2020 16:50

With regards to a delay in updates, didn't someone here say their partner was tested and had to wait nearly a week for results?

Sunshinesky1981 · 06/03/2020 16:50

Haven't a clue @Momof2boys1girl . It does seem rather Vague, and given the Jump today it has not really brought any comfort. We are in West Berkshire so know there has been a case, and am accepting that if there has been one, especially in a hospital then there will be others Sad

ChipotleBlessing · 06/03/2020 16:51

@PestyMachtubernahme of course ‘we’ don’t know who is self isolating. But PHE do and they are being monitored and ‘supported’ ie checked up on.

Jumpingintotheabyss · 06/03/2020 16:51

Charlie, this will pass. I imagine by July we will be in a much better place.

So I'd do whatever you want to isolate and get through and survive it with your health conditions.

usernameishistory · 06/03/2020 16:52

As of 9am on 6 March 2020, 20,338 people have been tested in the UK, of which 20,175 were confirmed negative and 163 were confirmed as positive. One patient who tested positive for COVID-19 has died. See data by NHS regional breakdown.

Note: Data may be subject to delays in case confirmation and reporting, as well as ongoing data cleaning

This bit at the bottom is important to note, there have been lots of comments on data changes in pp, to ensure data is correct they are estimating numbers of potential cases by area and amending as necessary pending actual confirmation
