From the Times of Israel with more detail

Seems they know who did it.

"According to police, a car entering the highway from a side road collided with his motorcycle. The driver was found responsible due to reckless driving and drug use."

I don't know. I just shared that driver is known. Do you know more or just guessing? The man who was driving has been identified.

Jamaicaningmecrazy · 07/01/2026 09:16

How strange…

nigelisalier · 07/01/2026 09:17

You don’t think it’s another example of Israel literally getting away with murder. Again?

Found something

The Ashkelon Magistrate's Court extended until tomorrow the detention of Shuka Ben Shushan, the jeep driver who was involved yesterday in the accident that killed the President of the Be'er Sheva District Court, Benny Sagi. Ben Shushan is suspected of negligent homicide, driving under the influence of drugs causing damage, reckless driving and deviating from the driving lane. This occurred after his Chrysler vehicle swerved from the left lane to the right shoulder and hit Judge Sagi who was riding a motorcycle.

Death of Judge Benny Sagi: Detention extended for driver suspected of driving under influence of drugs

Please note a lot of sources dont link Sagi to Netanyahu's case.
Wouldn't want anyone to start claiming anti BN conspiracy without first being sure, right?

LeonMccogh · 07/01/2026 09:24

How very strange.

Why not? I believe you assumed all the people on the plane dumped in South Africa must have been family of Hamas. People will assume what they like I’m afraid.

OP posts:
Ihatetomatoes · 07/01/2026 09:32

People assume alsorts. They have a man in custody. I'd prefer to wait until after trial. I don't know if the man is guilty or innocent, none of us do. There are always guesses when a high profile individual dies, remember Princess Di ( as was), some people are convinced it was a hit (even without any evidence) 🙄

Twiglets1 · 07/01/2026 09:35

You're making a lot of assumptions @nigelisalier

It's tragic that this man has been killed by a driver who sounds like he was driving very recklessly due to being under the influence of drugs.

Bad enough for his family without pointless internet speculation that he was targeted. None of know the facts after all.

Cool. You want to go off on an anti BN conspiracy rant do be my guest. Will be a bit embarrassing if the judge has nothing to do with the current case. Which will be an easily proven fact very shortly- if thats the case. I don't know yet.
My point is that a lot of sources linking the judge and the accident are not 100%. So personally I'd hold off speculating about something that'll become clear soon.
My guess about a plane load of passengers is a bit irrelevant, but thanks for thinking of me 😘

nigelisalier · 07/01/2026 09:43

I don’t expect the “facts” will be published. Much like many of the other atrocities which have been committed by Israel and are under “investigation”. Some of us see a pattern….

The facts of whether this judge is involved in the current BN corruption case are already established. Just not widely known. I only spent a few moments looking into it but the sources claiming Sagi was one of the judges for the current case are mainly Facebook, Islamic World News, some Iranian website etc. Oh and the DailyMail 😬. A lot of sources don't link the actual judge and current case.

Disclaimer: or 30m ago or so at least. Might have changed by now of course.

I agree the investigation into the accident conclusions may never be known. And why should they?

So you’ve decided this is “another atrocity” with no access to the facts.

Are you prone to conspiracy theories by any chance?

Murdering ambulance medics and burying the evidence = an atrocity. Killing journalists in a hospital doing their job = atrocity. Killing children getting water = atrocity. Need I go on?

All being “investigated”. Nothing else ever said on the matter. Strange eh?

OP posts:
knitnerd90 · 07/01/2026 10:29

This is NOT the judge overseeing Netanyahu's trial. He presided over a related matter in Beersheva. Bibi's corruption case is being heard in Jerusalem, overseen by a 3 judge panel.

There's no reason a case involving the prime minister would be heard in Beersheva.

Go on then. You tell us what links a tragic road accident involving an inebriated civilian and well respected Judge, and atrocities commited by an army in wartime.

And also let us know why you feel you should have the details of the investigation into this accident? Did you know him personally?
