Not suspicious at all.

Because Israel never lie - right?

Honestly, this is ridiculous.
Israel lies.
Everyone lies.
Your prejudice is showing. Clearly.

nigelisalier · 08/01/2026 11:00

Oh my. Attack you? Pointing out the fact that you are more than willing to believe it was an RTA because Israel said so is hardly an attack.

But go ahead and correct my spelling if you think it gives you the edge.

As for critical thinking, well, wouldn’t that be nice if everyone applied it. I repeat, he was investigating the submarine scandal, which may or may not be reopened and put BN in the firing line yet again for even more corruption charges. But believe what you will.

'Top Israeli judge is killed 'after vehicle driving off road joined highway and ploughed into his motorbike'

Police are still investigating. Meanwhile, MN conspiracy theorist has decided who caused it. Now, why have police investigations or courts when you can just guess 🤔 🙄 😂

What concerns me about this thread is not the circumstances surrounding the accident, it's that quite a few people here immediately believed 'Islamic World News' and a load of accounts off social media that reported that it was the judge presiding over BN's corruption case. It wasn't. Sagi isn't the judge presiding. People believed he was immediately then came together to knowingly sneer about 'what a coincidence, how strange' etc but didn't even have tje balls to openly say- "Netanyahu has had his judge killed'. Sagi wasn't even the judge on the current case. This information was always out there. So many on here are absolutely primed by their hatred of Israel that literal facts don't get in the way of mudslinging. Basically- some on here are not even aware of their own prejudice and contribute unknowingly to the massive amount of anti Israel rhetoric flying about constantly. Absolutely grinds my gears. And fucking dangerous- as we've seen recently.

nigelisalier · 08/01/2026 14:01

Absolutely no evidence of it, and nothing in the AP about any of the Palestinians on planes being displaced to South Africa being the family of Hamas. But bandied about on the CITME thread.

Double standards innit?

And then further, some readers might have just read a few of the posts above, followed a few links, noted Netanyahu's judge passed ( as it still says in the title ) then moved onto something else... but in the back of their minds theres a slight rememberence that BN's judge died in suspicious circumstances and that adds to their overall picture of Israel, feeds into existing prejudices or helps birth them... and before you know it people have a whole mental picture built on misinformation. Some shit sticks.

nigelisalier · 08/01/2026 14:04

As you say. Some shit definitely does stick!

Again.

They weren't displaced. They paid for their tickets and made it out. They wished to leave, and understandably so.

I guessed, and openly said it was a guess, not an assumption, and certainly not truth.

When are you taking down your misinformation?

Seriously. Don't you worry for a world in which people spread misinformation specifically designed to build hatred and mistrust? I really do.

nigelisalier · 08/01/2026 14:12

Are you reading skills not very good? I have given you exactly what was being investigated. And how it would impact on BN should the case be reopened, which is looking increasingly likely. I will not be removing my post.

But go ahead and report the thread and get it pulled down. I believe it’s a common tactic on here.

Don't worry, I wont report your post, I think everyone can follow my argument and see what you are doing. Even the DM has corrected their story. It just genuinely, genuinely makes me sad. And worried.

nigelisalier · 08/01/2026 14:18

Absolutely ... better to let the thread stay.

Not that any of us have the power to pull threads ... that's a MN choice.

To be fair about the spelling of the judge’s name, it’s בני שגיא.

I’ve seen three separate transliterations from the Hebrew used in the Israeli English-language media: Benny Sagi, Beni Sagi, and Beni Sagai. But, the name/surname has always traditionally been spelled and pronounced with a ‘S’ [Sin] not a ‘Sh’ [Shin] as far as I’m aware.

(With the nikkudot, שָׂגִיא)

Sadly, misinformation and hatred lead to an increase in anti semitism but some people don't care about that. Some are quick to share any story if they can suggest Israel bad. They can't help themselves. Probably why less and less visit the CITME board. I find that, on general boards, it's much more balanced with less hatred.

This Haaretz article is about Judge Benny Sagi and the submarine and naval vessel case mentioned. You can read it through archive today.

Fatal Motorcycle Accident Leaves Israel's Most Serious Security Corruption Case in Limbo
Judge Benny Sagi was set to deliver the verdict regarding a suspect in the submarine and naval vessels affair, which concerns two deals with a German conglomerate for the acquisition of submarines and missile boats to defend the natural gas fields off Israel's coast

https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/2026-01-07/ty-article/.premium/israeli-courts-in-limbo-after-judges-death-leaves-submarine-corruption-verdict-pending/0000019b-9910-dd39-a7ff-fb3a36c50000

One paragraph says,
The main allegation against the prime minister was that he pushed to buy additional submarines for the navy despite defense officials' objections. Netanyahu, former Mossad chief Yossi Cohen and former Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon were not questioned under caution in "Case 3000," which investigated the affair.

So Netanyahu was involved in a way, but not actually a defendant in this particular case that Judge Benny Sagi was presiding over.

@nigelisalier I honestly don’t think from reading this that if Judge Benny Sagi were still alive, and about to give the judgement, it would affect Netanyahu personally.

Presumably the other case, which is directly against him, with the three other judges, is pending anyway.

nigelisalier · 10/01/2026 07:43

Well at least you engaged and researched. Thank you.

You could have done the same research instead of beginning a thread with a conspiracy theory against Netanyahu.

I did. And I mentioned it 3 times. But no one else could be bothered to follow it up. Maybe read the thread and save the criticism.

Nigel. Everyone followed it up. Realized it wasn't the judge in the current BN case, which was pointed out to you quite quickly, then lost interest. Then you carried on about other Israeli atrocities, made personal attacks, then flounced off your own thread.
If you'd like to resurrect it, I'll ask you for the 3rd time, whats your actual working theory here? And whats the connection between IDF atrocities and the accident?
Care to answer?

nigelisalier · 10/01/2026 15:20

I would not. I believe there is a high chance that the case will be reopened. And that BN will be up for more charges as a result. But you didn’t want to engage with that, so I will leave it there.

Lol to flouncing again.
You didn't bother answering mine, but I'll do you just in case...

What leads you to think the case could be reopened?
How do you think that would affect BN?
What do you actually think happened in this RTA then?
And why do you think you have the right to know what happened? Were you particularly close to the Judge?
