Trump's new Gaza Plan

Return of the hostages and an Islamic Arab government: Inside Trump's new Gaza plan:

The Trump administration has reportedly put forward a peace plan which would eventually lead to a complete end to the war in Gaza, a Western source told the Lebanese media site Elnashra on Wednesday, only a day after US President Donald Trump met with the leaders of Muslim countries.

The plan reportedly includes a 20-day ceasefire followed by the return of the hostages. It is unclear in the report, however, how many of the 48 hostages would be returned at this stage of the deal.

Following the return of the abductees, an Arab administration made up of Islamic nations would take over the administration of the Palestinian enclave, according to Elnashra. During this time, a Palestinian government would reportedly be built without the infiltration of Hamas.

Other sources told the Lebanese paper that the Muslim leaders attending the meeting with Trump were supportive of the American president's proposal. Still, they were reportedly awaiting a response from Hamas and Israel to see if the proposal could be fruitful.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York and included leaders from the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Indonesia, and Pakistan.

Documents released by the White House detailed Mr Trump’s and Sir Tony’s roles. “Gaza will be governed under the temporary transitional governance of a technocratic, apolitical Palestinian committee, responsible for delivering the day-to-day running of public services and municipalities for the people in Gaza,” the plan reads.

“This committee will be made up of qualified Palestinians and international experts, with oversight and supervision by a new international transitional body, the Board of Peace, which will be headed and chaired by President Donald J Trump, with other members and heads of state to be announced, including former prime minister Tony Blair.”

Under the proposals, the US would also develop a temporary international stabilisation force (ISF) alongside Arab nations and other “international partners” to be immediately deployed in Gaza.

The ISF will train and provide support to vetted Palestinian police forces in Gaza, and will consult with Jordan and Egypt. The group will work with Israel to help secure border areas.

A map released by the White House showed the IDF’s staggered withdrawal from Gaza, which would coincide with hostages being released.

A yellow line represents an initial “modest” withdrawal of IDF troops, which would take place within 72 hours of an agreement being reached and once all the hostages are released.

The red line shows where the ISF will be deployed once Israeli forces withdraw further.

Sounds reasonable but perhaps some would rather the conflict continues 🤔

Yes. It's a level of cynicism I can't relate to, but I do think that is unfortunately the case.

Smotrich being quoted as saying the Gaza plan "will end in tears," (mainly his if it succeeds I expect), but does not say he will oppose it.

On the other hand, Ursula von der Leyen, the European Commission president, said that she welcomed Donald Trump’s peace proposal to end the nearly two-year-old war in Gaza.

“Welcome President @realDonaldTrump’s commitment to end the war in Gaza. Encourage all parties to now seize this opportunity. The EU stands ready to contribute,” she wrote on X.

“Hostilities should end with provision of immediate humanitarian relief to the population in Gaza and with all hostages released immediately,” she added.

Health Secretary Wes Streeting has backed Sir Tony Blair’s role in an interim authority in Gaza under Donald Trump’s peace plan.

He told Times Radio: “Now I know there will be people who will raise eyebrows about Tony Blair in particular, and will think critically about that because of his role in the Iraq War.

“All I would say is that someone who also marched against the Iraq War, and opposed the Iraq War as I did, I also remember his legacy in Northern Ireland, and if he can bring that considerable skill set to bear of being able to broker peace between enemies, sworn enemies, then so much the better.”

In a joint statement, the foreign ministers of the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Indonesia, and Pakistan said they welcomed Trump's "leadership and his sincere efforts to end the war in Gaza".

They said they were ready to engage with the US to finalise and implement the agreement, which they said should lead to a "two state solution, under which Gaza is fully integrated with the West Bank in a Palestinian state".

Can Qatar put enough pressure on Hamas to accept?

Let’s hope so! They can stop funding them for a start. That should concentrate their minds.

No longer able to get money from stealing aid in anything like the same quantities and their allies turning against them.

I would think that is the plan & making BN publicly apologise for the Doha attack will have been part of the strategy. Qatar really need to put the work in.

Imagine the mood on board the futilla this morning… dejection I imagine at the way the wind has changed.

Maybe they should drop that aid off in Cyprus after all?

Some of them may be pleased. Cynical but pleased. Greta seems to love a seemingly intractable problem so maybe she'll do something useful for the environment, female emancipation and education has been shown to help a lot.

A bit like here. Some will not want Hamas to accept. They need to get over it and think about who is suffering if they get their wish. Only Hamas and a some online don’t want to see it end.

Leaders and UN have said they support it.

Ahh but Trump (who is a horrible person) is behind the deal so it should be rejected.
But Tony Blair (who is a liar and a war criminal) is involved so it should be rejected.

So the war should continue and more Gazan civilians should get killed and more of Gaza get destroyed because the Pro Pal brigade don't like Trump and Blair.

Lets be honest it was never about caring for or trying to save Gazan civilians and children it was always an unholy alliance between far left anti Western groups and anti semetic groups.

Perhaps they will congratulate themselves that they played a role in the international pressure that led to this plan 🙌

Maybe if the Sudan crisis starts trending on social media they might switch their protests towards that war.

I mean it's got some great SM buzzwords going for it like:
Genocide, actual slave trade, 500k children killed, siege, ethnic cleansing.

OK it is a bit of a problem that it's only Christians being persecuted but maybe that can be glossed over and refer to them as "colonialist oppressed black Africans".

Any this conflict really needs to up it's social media presence if it ever hopes to become a cause celebre in the West.

Who on earth has said on here that they don’t want Hamas to accept?

There are a lot of red flags that this plan is merely a cover for the Trump Gaza plan. But ultimately but it’s the only plan.

I haven’t read a thing on here or in mainstream media that says otherwise? It’s a plan with lots of problems but there are no other options seems to be the general consensus.

There's a few if you read the threads, I understand it takes time to move on to accepting a plan like this one. Hopefully Hamas will accept.

It’s not just Christian’s being persecuted. Why do you think that? Are you assuming the non Arab communities are Christian? They are not, many are Muslim.

Many attacks are indiscriminate also.

I don’t think everything will be ticketety boo for the Palestinians now. But It would be great if we could come together for Sudan. It certainly needs more attention.

KoalaKoKo · 30/09/2025 11:41

So this has all been drawn up with no Palestinians at the table and no one has looked for agreement from the Palestinian side as yet. I have quite a few concerns.

  1. No actual agreement of borders. Recently the Israeli government gave the go ahead to more illegal settlements in the West Bank, will they go ahead - what about the others currently being constructed and Palestinian homes currently being bulldozed? No annexing of the West Bank is too vague when it is happening daily and has no sanctions for Israel if they break this. Will Israeli troops remain in the West Bank?
  2. No mention of elections. When do Gaza’s get their rights to elect their own government - they cannot be ruled by foreign forces indefinitely.
  3. No right to control their own borders. The level of trucks allowed in was mentioned which implies that Israel will continue to control Palestinian borders.
  4. No commitment to letting them have their own port and airport so they can travel without going through Israel or without the permission of Israel.
  5. The reference to several parties developing Gaza and the economics reeks of an agreement between rich men in divvying up prime real estate between them.
  6. Palestinians disarm but what happens if Israel bomb them or annex more of their territory- there is no real protection for the Palestinians.
  7. What is to stop Israel bombing Gaza once the hostages are released?

My thoughts are that Netanyahu will likely stick to the agreement this time to avoid the charges of genocide, he will allow this to happen in the short term while continuing to gradually annex the West Bank, control the Palestinian borders and in a few years when everyone has forgotten about the genocide and Israeli companies are no longer being boycotted the IDF will be back bombing Gaza.

If I was Palestinian I would want firm penalties for annexing land, I would want firm sanctions for any breaking of the agreement. I would want recently stolen land and property returned. I would want the Israeli army to withdraw from Gaza and the West Bank. I would want guaranteed elections within 5 years, I would want an airport and a port. I would want the bombed property and land to remain in the hands of the Gazans who lived there.

I would want an overhaul of both the Israeli and Palestinian education systems that removes segregation from schools so that arab and jewish kids will be educated side by side and all racist depictions of Arabs removed from text books. An independent body should be involved in the overhaul of the education systems.

Lolapusht · 30/09/2025 11:46

One thought I had, America saying settlers behave themselves gives Netanyahu a nice out. When Smotrich et al kick off he can just shrug and say it’s out of his hands. They can threaten to leave government all they want but Bibi can’t do anything to stop them. It will also mean he can look to future elections without being bound to them so may gain support from moderates.

I think that when people are complaining it’s a bad deal for Palestine is what people are taking as posters wanting Hamas to say no, which isn’t a massive leap to take. This deal has got something for everyone with everyone having to make concessions. Safe to say we can all agree that Hamas has to agree??

I’ve seen plenty of people online saying Hamas shouldn’t agree which is pretty disgusting. All Hamas had to do is disarm and release the hostages. If they don’t, it just shows that they’re not and never have been acting for Palestine. Everything they’ve done has been for their own gain and they’ve sacrificed all those civilians in furtherance of that aim. That alone should have everyone 100% backing their immediate removal so Gaza can move forward and be rebuilt.

The plan originally had 21 points.
Then after Netanyahus meeting with Trump it was down to 20 points

All according to the news

Did anyone see the original 21 points
or know what was changed
??
