It’s hardly vanishingly rare to find a supporter of Israel- the same posters flood every thread again and again.
How do you know the religious beliefs of those posting here? How do you know how many people on this thread are Jewish? How do you know whether I am or not?
Stop equating Judaism with support for the Israeli government and support for genocide. Stop implying that all British Jews are afraid of criticism of Israel.
Saying that Israel = Judaism and Judaism = Israel. That in itself is antisemitic

She said a Jewish person not a supporter of Israel. There used to be many (they told us, how else would we know?). They left.

Noone is saying any of those things. They are in your head. As for @Twiglets1 being antisemitic. Please.

I said it’s vanishingly rare to get a Jewish person posting on these threads. There was one who posted a bit from Israel but she was given no consideration by the pro Palestinian brigade for being brave to post about her personal situation, so doesn’t post much. She may have left MN.

How do I know the religious beliefs of most people posting in support of Israel? Because they have mentioned them at one time or another and I pay attention. We are quite a small group on here and use the same usernames across multiple threads so you get to know people a bit, almost like a community.

I don’t know the beliefs or background of most pro Pals on here as they either don’t mention them or the group is too large for me to remember them all. I know some are Irish and some are Muslim. They seem to be the largest two categories as far as I can tell.

Kakeandkake · 25/09/2025 08:27

There were many posters who were Palestinian or who had links to Palestine with Palestinian friends and family who also stopped posting because of some of the vile hate speech against Palestinians on this board.

No child deserves to die necessarily. However, something that people seem totally unaware of sitting in their cushty armchairs with endless cheap luxuries around so they'd never have to worry, is that war is brutal! There is no moral equivalence, and proportionality of number of deaths means nothing. Britain wiped Dresden and Berlin off the map in WW2 causing way more death and destruction that Isreal have, yet it's hard to find anyone who would claim it wasn't a 'just' war.

Ah yes, the Dresden defence. Nothing says ‘moral clarity’ quite like pointing to another instance of mass civilian slaughter as if that somehow makes this one fine. War being brutal doesn’t make the deliberate killing and starving of children any less of a war crime.

Proportionality isn’t about body counts, it’s about intent and conduct- which is exactly why Israel is facing ICJ and ICC cases right now.

You know dehumanisation is the first step towards genocide:
to quote you:

”Empathy isn't even a term that hamas or most Palestinians even know.”

Shame on you

people are not as you say “useful idiots” for having sympathy for fellow humans, mothers and children just like ours who are being bombed and starved by Israel

So when a country such as Palestine specifically states that is what they want to do to Isreal and they have no intention of stopping things like Oct7, what is Isreal meant to do?

This is what bugs me so much about the useful idiots, they yammer on about compassion and empathy but don't offer ANY SOLUTIONS!! If they had an idea I could at least give them the time of day....

Everexpanding · 30/09/2025 12:16

Last time I checked we couldn’t kill an entire people pre-emptively for crimes we think they might possibly commit ????

maybe Israel could stop committing war crimes, dispossessing, displacing, killing, bombing, starving, and orphaning thousands of Palestinians which they have been doing for decades. Maybe then the Israeli state could work towards peace, maybe then they would not be almost universally loathed

I am not Palestinian and actually am a pacifist but I think no punishment in this world is big enough for Netanyahu and the current Israeli government maybe you should preemptively kill me too??

If there is someone out there killing an 'entire people' I really think you should organise a march or something.

I’m assuming that your ‘organise a march or something comment’ is a joke?

Is this supposed to be sarcastic?

Which marches do you attend that you have thought were very effective?

The marches I have gone on for the hostages have been very powerful and moving and I think given strength to those related to hostages. But I was more referring to the anti-Israel marches which people on MN have told us many times are very effective.

Everexpanding · 30/09/2025 13:30

I’ll just keep boycotting Israel @SharonEllis
using the No Thanks app because I don’t support the killing of innocent civilians, the orphaning of children, illegal detention, killing of health care workers and journalists, land theft and genocide ,

Everexpanding · 30/09/2025 13:30

You? You can keep on mocking those who care I guess, you seem to enjoy it

How revealing that you are speaking in jest regarding the marches protesting against a genocide. I don't see anyone on these threads mocking marches for the hostages or against anti-semitism.

Double standards are rife on these threads.

'because I don’t support the killing of innocent civilians'

None of us do. Oct 7th was absolutely horrific.

Let's see if the peace deal develops. The terrorists I've read are considering the deal 'in good faith' <as if they've any good faith>. What they mean is they are awaiting to hear from their Qatari paymasters to give them orders.

Can you acknowledge the death of 55,900 innocent Palestinians? Or do they not count?

Oh stop it. Noone supports the deaths of innocent people. Your hyperbole is not as effective a strategy as you seem to think it is.

Everexpanding · 30/09/2025 13:49

Hyperbole !?? Shocking figures true but not hyperbole, fact and probably grossly underestimated fact

It isn't hyperbole. There's many people who have openly and more often 'indirectly' justified and minimised the deaths of thousands of innocent Palestinians.

Lunalara · 30/09/2025 14:08

People were saying that 5,000 or so deaths was nothing, now that number is up to 50,000 +. Only a matter of time before it gets to 100k plus. It is probably much higher than 50k deaths anyway as Palestine is completely ruined in all areas of life.
