I would add that the segregation and racism of Arab people just within Israel itself is shockingly visible when you visit and that the government-supported settler violence and the things senior politicians say are pretty compelling reasons to believe the Israeli government are not to be trusted when it comes to Palestinian land and the wellbeing of its people.

Can you provide examples if this is first-hand experience? It’s funny because there are prominent Arabs in government, media and even the IDF. In fact an Arab runs Israel’s biggest bank. He literally controls Jews access to money. Hardly discriminated against are they!

No evidence of Hamas diverting Aid, a manufactured Famine, manufactured by the Israeli government

Oh please. Have they suddenly turned into caring gentleman, after raping women and tying their children to them and burning them to death.

But not 'everyday' Israelis? Your post was holocaust imversion.

You said you weren't debating with me. Please keep to your word.

PinkBobby · 22/08/2025 20:13

Montysmoon · 22/08/2025 20:05

Hopefully you’re calling for the release of the hostages then. Seeing as you care about Israeli lives and all that.

Absolutely and I support the families of the hostages and their call for the end of the conflict.

No, I said I'm not 'debating this' i.e your holocaust inversion. The things you said about this war bear no comparison to the holocaust. And I note you claim not to understand and do not withdraw your comments. What I was commenting on here was your comment wishing peace on Palestinians, not Israelis. Your posts reveal your clear bias.

Gladysknightjustwalkinmyshoes · 22/08/2025 20:20

Natural disaster is hard enough to bear but this is orchestrated and deliberate.
The evil mankind inflicts on mankind knows no bounds.

You're free to argue with yourself, there's no point in me wasting energy on you tbh.

I will devote that energy to praying for the Palestinians suffering tonight at the hands of the Israeli government.

I'm not sure why my comment was deleted tbh, I didnt say anything i would take back, and definitely did not insult everyday Jewish people, who are just as innocent as the palestinians are.

A genocide isnt a 'reality of war'. Those who revel in this, and write off Palestine's suffering are evil. End of.

The end of Hitler came so late. The end of this genocide is even later.

But yes, Netanyahu belongs in prison. Peace be upon the Palestinians ❤️

The end of Hitler came so late? The end of this genocide is even later?

What on earth could you possibly mean by this?

I can guess why your last post got deleted...

My negative experience was in relation to the schools. Separation of Israeli Jews and Israeli Arabs, the beliefs Israeli school children have about Arab people and the standards in the two branches of the education system.

Obama was the US President - is racism not an issue there either?

Given the numbers of the palestinians who have been killed while the government looked away, its very late now for them to be doing anything. Better late than never, but yes, too late.

How is the end of this genocide even later? Thats what you said. What did you mean?

Because it sounded a lot to me like you were saying the death of 60,000 Palestinians is worse than the death of 6,000,000 Jews.

But you couldnt possibly have meant that? So what did you mean? It what way is the end of this genocide even later?

Yes racism exists, in the US, in the UK, across the Middle East, Asia, in fact everywhere. Including Israel. Luckily it’s the minority and not the majority. So don’t try and single out israel in your bid to paint it as evil.

SaltAirAndTheRust · 22/08/2025 20:43

Glad that the usual actors have so much respect for the Palestinian children who are being starved.

because Israel is at war with a TERRORIST organisation that wants to kill all jews, eradicate Israel and wage war against the west (it’s a proxy for Iran after all, which has called for the destruction of the west) and you wonder why it has the backing of the US? Have you read a book?

The award-winning Israeli author David Grossman has described his country’s campaign in Gaza as a genocide and said he now “can’t help” but use the term.

“I ask myself: how did we get here?” the celebrated writer and peace activist told the Italian daily La Repubblica in an interview published on Friday.

“How did we come to be accused of genocide? Just uttering that word – ‘genocide’ – in reference to Israel, to the Jewish people, that alone, the fact that this association can even be made, should be enough to tell us that something very wrong is happening to us.””

Also I think these 380 authors have read a few books:
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/may/28/gaza-letter-genocide-zadie-smith-ian-mcewan

And if you are looking for a good read, I’d recommend ‘The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine’ by Israeli historian Professor Ilan Pappe.

Strangely a huge number of academics, authors, historians, legal rights experts, over a hundred human rights organisations around the world have loudly condemned Israel and using the words genocide, war crimes, enforced starvation. But I am sure they are all a bit thick too.

Yet these are the ones who are sharing their outpouring of grief and expect everyone else to conform with the emotive knee jerking responses. I was going to stay away from this thread but sometimes you have to cut through the shit and the tedious guilt tripping, as well as the pile ons and stand up for your own beliefs.

As in

Its happening too late

The whole world knows what is happening. Its not like a century ago, where we relied on journalists to tell us stuff. We've all seen footage ourselves, before it got to the point where over 80% of palestinians were murdered.

Something could've been done ages ago, and the meagre actions of the government come too late

MummytoE · 22/08/2025 20:44

Martymcfly24 · 22/08/2025 18:41

Please do and I completely agree

I also hate every government official who actually has power and chooses not to use it to end suffering.

What about the celebrities who have millions of followers and billions of pounds but say/ do nothing? Taylor swift for example. I'm a long time fan but her silence is deafening. I know a lot of people would argue that it's not her place etc but I don't no ...

What on earth are you talking about? 80% of Palestinians murdered?

Still waiting for you to explain what you mean by saying the end of this genocide is even later than the end of Hitlers' genocide?

Netenyahu doesn’t want the land. He wants to free the land of terrorists who could commit another October 7th atrocity.

He literally just said to i24 that he has aspirations for Greater Israel - which as we all know includes the West Bank and Gaza.

I only mentioned the US as a comparison as you listed various people of Arab descent in positions of power in Israel and said there wasn’t discrimination.

And I’m not “painting Israel as evil”. I actually think evil is an unhelpful term for any country or human. I think some powerful members of the Israeli government are driven by hatred and are encouraging or planning horrendous violence against Palestinians. I think members of Hamas have committed the worst crimes against other humans.

I wouldn’t call a whole country “evil” - it doesn’t make sense to lump so many individuals together as if they’re all the same. But I will call out individuals like Smotrich for being driven by hate and encouraging or promoting acts of terror against Palestinians.

I know where you are coming from but I think unless someone authentically cares they are better off saying nothing. Mark Rufallo, Ms Rachel, Nicola Coughlan have all spoken out passionately for a long time.
Bono on the other hand has decided to jump on the bandwagon.
