One of the worst things I've seen in this genocide is some young men stamping on baby formula as it was waiting to enter Gaza. They must have believed that the infants were Hamas members🙄.such hatred

I haven’t seen that but agree babies are not Hamas

Montysmoon · 22/08/2025 19:01

Netenyahu doesn’t want the land. He wants to free the land of terrorists who could commit another October 7th atrocity.

He has literally said he is following Trump's Plan.
He has gone into government with people who support annexing all of Palestine
He supports the settlers and the expansion of these

Look at the date of the article below 2019.

A famine has been declared in Gaza city

Wrong. See my post above with the picture on the previous page dated Sept 2023 as well as Marty’s post more recently

I genuinely think it won’t end until Palestine has been eradicated

I think so too. I want to protest (but, somewhat pathetically scared of arrest as a lone parent of 2 SEN YP so I've written to my MP instead). I want to donate but am not sure who best to give to. It's not about me of course, it just seems awful to just be sitting here whilst a very deliberate genocide occurs.

Really?!!
You have no recollection of the UN general assembly in September 2023 !

You know when Netanyahu wiped Gaza off the map and replaced it with Israel.

Shall I repeat the date
22nd September 2023

Are you aware that Hamas have continually refused ceasefire deals, have made it quite clear they have no intention of living peacefully beside Israel. So what is Israel to do? Live next to a hostile enemy with the unrelenting threat of terror? (you do know that since 2005, Hamas and other terrorist groups in Gaza have launched more than 20,000 rockets and mortars at Israel and carried out more than one hundred suicide bombings?) how would the UK treat a threat of that magnitude do you think?

PinkBobby · 22/08/2025 19:17

allusernamesaretakennow · 22/08/2025 18:56

Their terrorist leaders have turned down their own state a number of times. Imagine if all those years ago they agreed to their own state and built it up to prosper just like Israel did. Both countries living alongside each other building their respective countries up rather than one holding hand out for aid whilst their terrorist leaders live in billionaire luxury in other Arab countries. It's pretty disgusting actually. Failed miserably by their own people who lead them.

So Israel had no impact on the Palestinians ability to prosper?

They didn’t limit water for agriculture or prohibit new water sources?
They didn’t refuse the construction of a main sewage line?
They’ve never encouraged settlers to steal Palestinian land?
They didn’t take any measures to make Gaza’s economy reliant on Israel/serve Israel’s needs?

Wrong again
Suggest reading non biased news

The January ceasefire was agreed by both parties. After Stage 1 Netanyahu pulled out
Why? because further stages meant the IDF pulling out of Gaza

He denied the release of the rest of the hostages and peace in Gaza
Thats on the Israeli Government

Try not to read propaganda. You’re missing the actual truth either that or conveniently forgetting it

DrPrunesqualer · 22/08/2025 19:22

Do you deny his plan at the UNGA @Montysmoon

PinkBobby · 22/08/2025 19:22

allusernamesaretakennow · 22/08/2025 19:00

The did indeed as you say have "Well, they had hospitals and schools, mosques, homes, universities, a stadium, agriculture, water systems, electricity - all that will need to be replaced." built with aid from other countries whilst their 'leaders' took any money raised in Gaza for their own ends, continued with the hatred of wanting the entire area, lobbed missiles endlessly into Israel, launched terrorist attacks and then when an all out war came hid amongst it's people and refused to give the hostages up or surrender. What a bunch of vile leaders those poor people have. Hamas still hang on by their fingertips refusing to go. I wish they'd sod off and let the Gazans elect a new better government (couldn't possibly any worse that Hamas).

Yes - Hamas need to go. As do Israeli politicians like Smotrich and Ben-Gvir. Then maybe there’s hope for Gaza and its people.

Quit referring to the holocaust, will you. It gets sickening seeing it kicked around like a political football.

GladioliGreen · 22/08/2025 19:22

It's just awful. There is no excuse for the situation to have been allowed to escalate to this. Aid agencies have been shouting for months that this would happen. Every single awful thing that has happened to Palestinians has been predictible since a few days after this conflict started. A member of the Israeli government said 'There will be no electricity, no food, no water, no fuel – everything will be closed.' and now the first famine in the Middle East has been declared by the UN. It isn't a coincidence.

The Israeli government told us who they were right from the beginning. Now Palestinians are paying the price because governments and other useful idiots were too dumb to listen.

Get a Ryanair flight to Ireland.

Our protests are fab . Music and speeches and lots of kids in buggies and the Garda are there for traffic control.

(I am joking but I feel your frustration I have been donated to the Gaza Infant Care Collective, it's American/ Canadian ,they are donating formula and food and have started a campaign to provide monthly female hygiene parcels)

No idea why I fell for all these derails

Isn’t
FAMINE in Gaza enough for people to concider

It’s so frustrating isn’t it? They come on and say the most outrageous things to get people all frothed up, to avoid the real issues at hand

Agree, its always the same.

Very informative about what famine does to the body. This is what is happening right at this moment to the people in Gaza. It's barbaric.

The reality of famine: What happens when a person starves?

Even if a starving person regains access to food, they remain at huge risk.

This is the part I find particularly hard to understand - powerful members of the Israeli government have specifically said that they want to destroy Gaza and any hope of a Palestinian state and people still aren’t worried about how this all and for the Palestinian people.

And while they’re battling with this, they have to evacuate or they’ll be killed. It’s just so, so heartbreaking. I can foresee another Rafah situation occurring

Journalists have reported having to weigh the food they take in to the gram, so that they can’t take spares to hand to Palestinians

I thought journalists were banned from the area?

Innocent people being shot in the street by idf soldiers (which was happening long before the disgusting attack by hamas btw), hospitals being bombed, aid routes being blocked so palestinians starve. Over 80% of the population dead. Aid workers killed. And we're not supposed to call it what it is?

You clearly do not know what happened in the holocaust then. I am not debatinh this. But pointing out your disgraceful and entirely misplaced holocaust inversion.
