Wouldn't you feed the children before feeding yourself.
It certainly looks like many adults and children are suffering from starvation, whilst other people are not starving.
Who knows if the aid is distributed evenly, it doesn't seem like it to me.

You’ve been told why this is incorrect and you’re just refusing to listen.

The Gaza Strip has been under Israeli military occupation since the 50s, so you’re suggesting this ‘genocide’ has been ongoing for 70 years?! In which time the population of Gaza has actually increased? That’s an incredibly ineffective and unsuccessful genocide if ever I saw one.

Maybe, just maybe, Israel is not committing genocide. Maybe it’s at war with a fanatical terrorist regime which uses the Palestinian people as human shields and in the process they get killed. Why do the IDF drop notes to warn Palestinians of imminent attacks? Does this happen in other wars? Why do Israeli doctors treat Palestinian civilians who need medical care?

You have swallowed the prevailing narrative that Israel wants to eradicate the Palestinian people, but the evidence says otherwise. Whether you choose to believe that evidence is up to you.

That isn't what I said - stop strawmanning me! I said your assertion that "if it were genocide it would already be over" was historically and legally untenable.

That said: thank you for acknowledging the Gaza Strip has been (note: present perfect tense) "under Israeli military occupation".

You are being unfair to Israel; it has only been occupying the territory since 1967, not "since the 50s" as you (falsely and unfairly to Israel) claim.

Israel is not faultless but using terms like genocide, apartheid etc are so incrediby
inaccurate and simplistic. If Israel - which has one of the best militaries and intelligence services in the world - wanted to commit actual genocide it could in a day. Everyone already hates them, what would they have to lose?

I could list the names of academics, authors and others who support Israel and its right
to defend itself against terrorism. Give Douglass Murray a listen. He actually knows what he’s talking about.

I recommend watching this re ‘is it or is it not a genocide’. It’s an excellent interview with a leading international law specialist who has written about this in relation to the holocaust and his own family’s history.

Video: Opinion | When Is It Genocide?

Philippe Sands discusses how to think about the tragedies in Gaza through the lens of international law.

Not trying to be goady.

And yet, here you are, suggesting that “they are starving the children”

FFS. How low can you sink.

I can sympathise with the innocent Palestinian people, while suspecting the starvation is mainly impacting the innocent people in Palestine. A lot of the men are lean.

They do! There is no food! A group of genocidal “chosen” people bombed their farmlands, shoot them if they try to fish and blocked all food from entering the region for several months now. Where do you think they would get food from - do you have a 6month stash of food in your house?? Kids starve at a faster rate - FACT. Honestly if you believe a mother wouldn’t feed her child first you are not a mother.

I had a glandular virus and couldn’t eat anything other than yoghurt for weeks, I lost about two pounds, my daughter drops a kilo if she eats less for a two or three days. It’s called aging, your body has more fat reserves, you’re not growing so need less fuel, your metabolism slows down so you die at a slower rate. In every single documented famine the kids die first. I really hope you are proud of your posts.

I'm not refusing to listen.
Is not crazy to think the leaders are feeding themselves first.
It's not an anti Palestine question, if anything, shouldn't we question this.

Like I’ve said, children show sign of starvation first. If no one can access food in a family, the children will look dangerously malnourished before the adults. It’s not the adults hogging the food, they just can’t share their fat reserves.

Re aid, you’re right - it is not distributed evenly. There were over 200 aid points run by the UN in Gaza. These were replaced by just 4 GHF hubs. In June, the average opening time was just 11minutes (according to GHF data). This makes it impossible for a lot of people to access food. It will be the strongest/healthiest who can stand the walk/queue/inevitable fight for food. The weak and vulnerable will quickly struggle under these conditions as they don’t stand a chance of accessing aid when healthier people can push past. And you can judge the people pushing past - some may be selfish but many will have their own children to fight for.

How is that assertion legally untenable?

When ‘some’ are murdered. So not a genocide then.

Back to school!

Been there, got the post grad darling. Have you any other arguments other than accusing people of being uneducated.

The western scenario of a bug, being applied to the middle Eastern famine 🙄 sounds about right.

EmeraldShamrock000 · 22/08/2025 22:37

@PinkBobby I understand that, though shouldn't the men show signs of being malnourished, visible cheekbones, muscle loss, a lot of them look healthy, lean forearms, colour in their cheeks.

SpaceRaccoon · 22/08/2025 22:40

The footage of the Palestinians arriving in Brussels show a group of people looking hale and hearty.

Haha you lot are so predictable, a lady was recently harassed and goaded for revealing she had a post grad quite recently on these boards! It’s so circular - anyone who doesn’t drink the Israeli cool aid is stupid and then if they retort they are in fact educated you attack that. It didn’t take you long. It’s almost like your aim is to distract from the fact that Israel is committing horrendous, well documented war crimes against an innocent civilian population.

Could you show some example of these images? I haven't seen any like this most images are videos of men carrying dead babies or helping out after attacks in chaotic circumstances. Would be very hard to see their physical attributes.

Well I suppose they would when they are out the clutches of Hamas.

I DO think distraction is the aim. As stated previously.

I hope it's that and not because they are actually Hamas-connected and now in Europe. Let's hope Belgium has vetted better than France did.
