Conflict in the Middle East

Many pro-Palestinians DO actually support Hamas

ConscientiousObserver · 01/08/2025 11:07

There I said it.

Obviously they won’t come out and admit it, for fear of exposing themselves as supporters of evil, and also because they worry that they may be traced as it is supposedly illegal to support Hamas, as a proscribed terrorist group.

The evidence is all there -

The blind belief in the blatant Hamas propaganda which defies sense and logic.

The demonising descriptive language used to describe Israel.

The insistence that a war Israel didn’t start justifies Israeli and Jewish people around the work being persecuted, attacked and even murdered.

The protests against Israel but not Hamas who actually started the war.

The complete lack of interest or outrage in the Israeli hostages who actually included children and and a baby.

The calls for immediate ceasefire since the war started with no calls for Hamas to surrender.

The complete lack of accountability for Hamas and Palestinians in general.

I cannot fathom that anyone with a sane mind would support evil, barbaric murderers and rapists who also actively want to get their own civilians killed, and kill them themselves, so can we assume that for these people, their hatred of Israel and the Jewish people is greater than their care for human life as a whole.

A genuine question.

There are recent reports that most of the aid send by UN are being intercepted by Hamas.
Videos of the trucks commandeered by Hamas being driven at high speed though Gaza.

Then they sell it to the Gazans.

Can you link this information?

Funny how these westerners are never allowed to see footage of Hamas setting booby traps and tunnels in entrances to public places, such as schools and hospitals. Hamas let westerners see what the terrorist scum want westerners to see.

My nervousness around this whole issue was actually triggered by MN in the immediate aftermath of 7 Oct. So many threads seething with anti-Israel vitriol and downright lies, never retracted. Posts in Israel's defence deleted promptly. It must have been difficult for the moderators to keep on top of things, but something went very, very wrong and I am certain that Hamas propaganda played a direct part in shaping views from that point on.

Yes because Hamas just love their own people, don't they. Sources are horses for courses.

The New York Times, amongst other biased sources, are responsible for much distortion of live events. They made an irresponsible inaccurate report, for which they never apologised, having acknowled their error. I have never seen such a situation take global hold. Frightening is a good word to use.

This has been covered before on the threads. (Can't remember which one) The trucks are getting intercepted by people desperate for aid, not Hamas, and the majority happened straight after the blockade. Desperate people do desperate things.

Videos of the trucks commandeered by Hamas being driven at high speed though Gaza
Are there videos of Hamas driving the trucks at high speeds? The roads are rubble so that's a pretty mean feat .

Shows the UN are not fit for aid distribution.

Insanityisnotastrategy · 02/08/2025 11:32

I do think if there had been a lot of vocal calls on these protests for Hamas to step down, surrender and release the hostages, that would have weakened their position and ultimately led to fewer civilian casualties.

Hamas care a lot about winning the propaganda war and would have been forced to either 'rebrand' as slightly less murderous and indifferent to the deaths of their own people, or ultimately sufficient international pressure would have led them to slink away to Qatar or wherever and give up power in Gaza.

So IMO this type of support has ultimately been damaging to Gazans and cost a lot of lives, because it's so clear these people pay lip service (at best) to condemning Hamas, rather than making it clear they are dead in the water.

No it shows how desperate the situation has become because aid was blocked for 3 months. The region needs to be flooded with aid to address the shortage. The UN at least managed to distribute aid without killing people

Nothing to say about Netanyahu abetting a criminal gangs to loot aid?

Quite simply, they don’t consider an organisation who freely admits it wants to and is trying to annihilate Israel and slaughter Jews, as evil. This is what they are trying to hide.

Support for Hamas is directly fuelling this war to continue.

Most rational, sane, people would be horrified by that but not these people because their hate for Jewish people is deeper than their care for human life.

It is extremely sinister and troubling.

Fixed it for you.

What's disturbing, is how it still works. Netenyahu's government has been far clearer than Hamas has been in its stated intention to annihilate Gazans. Threatening to drop a nuclear bomb on them, saying they might be morally justified and starving 2 million people to death, calling them human animals, saying they'll destroy them all. Netenyahu's his party has the annihilation of Palestine written into its Constitution. It may well be that Hamas would make similar statements, but because of (understandable) lack of legitimacy, and organisation it can't. But that doesn't detract from the fact that Israel has said those things, and is currently engaged in large-scale destruction slaughter of an imprisoned civilian population.

They are two sides of the same coin. Netanyahu and his government need to go, they must play no future role in Israel. They need to face justice with the ICC. How should any IDF soldiers convicted of war crimes. Likewise, Hamas needs to go, they must play no future role in Gaza. They need to face justice with the ICC, and any any bog standard Hamas foot soldiers convicted war claims should enter before the appropriate court.

The UN did not distribute aid without killing people if Hamas got hold of lots of it and used it to fund their criminal violence.

People get indirectly killed either way.

Seriously? Bit of a reach there. Can't believe you are comparing IDF shooting and killing people collecting aid with the repercussions of aid being looted. Anyway we've posted numerous times the evidence that Hamas did not get hold of lots of it.

People get indirectly killed either way.
Do they? Have you anything to back that claim up with.

No you haven’t fixed it at all.

You think Israel should end this war with Hamas remaining in control of Gaza, because that is what you seem to be saying?

I don’t think anyone hates Palestinians. I for one, hate Hamas and the ideology that Palestinians have been indoctrinated into, in addition to the PLO before them. It’s a fact that they are indoctrinated from children into wanting the destruction of Israel and hatred of the Jewish people. I mainly feel that this a great tragedy and have sympathy for them that this indoctrination has ruined and blighted the lives of Palestinians, especially children, for decades, and the Israelis too.

The difference in your first paragraph, is that Israel actually could do that, they could have done it at any time over the last 58 years, they could have done it over the last two years, but they haven’t.

If Palestinians had the capacity and power that Israel has, what do you think they would have done?

Taken in Israelis for medical treatment, saved one of their leaders lives so he could lead one of the worst atrocities ever seen against them later on, provided them with energy, food and medical treatments?

There is a lot more hatred towards Jewish people just for existing than Palestinians, despite Palestinians most notable achievements being terrorism.

This is an interesting interview with someone who someone who’s been there, a military expert no less.

I wonder if his ‘eye witness’ testimony will be accepted.

crikey, the unpleasant racism just drips
You clearly don't see Palestinians as equal to Israeli's. You'll disagree, but it's clear from you write.

Oh, so now you can’t accuse me of hating Palestinians, you want to accuse me of racism but I agree that I don’t see Palestinians as equal to Israelis.

Israel hasn’t made terrorism and conversely, victimhood, an integral part of it’s identity despite being the biggest victims of all, so Palestinians don’t have to actually build their own State and economy like Israel has, they can fire rockets and murder people then whine about security measures being put in place to prevent that, then carry out a mass scale terrorist attack and whine that if they only had their own State they wouldn’t have had to do that.

That’s not racism as I don’t think all Arabs behave like that at all. Palestinians are not a race btw.

That’s facts.
