There is no clean water left in Gaza

There is currently no access to safe drinking water in Gaza. Families are being forced to drink contaminated water from sewage or agricultural runoff.

This is a man-made humanitarian catastrophe- not a natural disaster. This isn’t just a crisis, it’s a form of collective punishment.

Gaza faces a man-made drought as water systems collapse, UNICEF says

GENEVA (Reuters) -Gaza is facing a man-made drought as its water systems collapse, the United Nations' children agency said on Friday. "Children will begin to die of thirst ... Just 40% of drinking

@MissyB1 no one on here says that just serves them right for being Palestinian

@tobeornottobe1 no one on here says it’s ok to kill Palestinian kids

Why do people on the pro Palestinian side insist on these ridiculous exaggerations over and over again? Stick to the facts of what people actually say or you come across as not arguing in good faith.

A poster did actually say “why should I feel bad for Palestinian kids when it happened to Israeli kids” - as in, it’s okay, because it happened to the other side.

Was there any evidence the IDF actually did that other than this doctors ‘testimony’?

Video footage?

I think that’s fantastical and utter bullshit tbh and much more believable that Hamas did it.

These doctors never mention Hamas, deny ever seeing Hamas, especially not in hospitals confirmed as being bases for Hamas.

He's not the only British Doctor I've heard talking about clusters of specific injuries that had to have been deliberate. Do you think the Doctors in Gaza are lying about what they see, the injuries they are treating, the malnourished patients, the medical equipment and medicines that are being denied to them by Israel? Why would they lie?

Martymcfly24 · 22/07/2025 08:12

why we should feel so sad about Palestinian children but not about Israeli children who were taken from their homes? I do feel sad about children dying in Gaza but I don't forget most of their parents support Hamas and if it was Israel being annihilated they would be happy as they were happy in the terrorist attack.

You went wrong by saying pro Palestinian. It’s pro life actually. Every child - black/white of any religion and race deserve to live, Jesus can’t believe I need to type this!

Oh so boring.

This just about typifies liberals' insular thinking.

@RainSoakedNights

One person asks a hypothetical question and it gets exaggerated to some posters on here think that just serves them right for being Palestinian.

And How are the admins not reading these comments and banning these mentally deranged people saying it’s ok to kill Palestinian kids because when they grow up they might attack Israel??!??

Do you really think people come across as debating in good faith when they lump us all in together as being "mentally deranged" and "saying it's ok to kill Palestinian kids".

I don’t particularly think it’s useful to use hypothetical scenarios in a very real, ongoing genocide.

I also think that you don’t have to look very far to see countless examples of what’s going on in Palestine being celebrated. People use October 7th as a justification, but this has been going on for nearly a century at this point. People can’t seem to have rational conversations - on both “sides” of the debate.

Yup - imagine if we said "so boring" to people going hungry in Gaza. I hope none of us would ever be so cold & insensitive to human suffering.

"So boring" is not a great response to the topic of the hostages suffering and possible assault or death at the hands of their captors.

I agree hypothetical scenarios are not useful and I wouldn't have said what that person said, I'm going to assume they were very upset at the time.

BUT it's extremely unfair to extrapolate that comment to How are the admins not reading these comments and banning these mentally deranged people saying it’s ok to kill Palestinian kids because when they grow up they might attack Israel??!??

I'm one of "these people" (pro Israel) but I'm not mentally deranged. Hyperbolic language just makes it impossible to debate seriously. If you want a rational conversation, the best way is to stay civil even to a group of people whose opinions you don't agree with.

The same needs to be said for both sides of the argument then - including not using hypothetical scenarios to try and cause shock, and not resorting to calling every criticism of Israel antisemitism.

No, I can see the bigger picture by going way way back in the history of what's happening. My knowledge didn't start at the Balfour declaration.

I agree every child deserves to live.

But you are wrong to equate pro Palestinian with pro life and exclude Israel from that.

Jewish children have a right to live too and it is Hamas goal to kill all Jews.

That is why Hamas have to be destroyed because they have no respect for the lives of Jewish children or the lives of Palestinian children either, it seems.

It is not calling criticism of Israel antisemitic; it isn't that simple.

Hamas ≠ Palestine.

Israel is pretty brazen in its goals to eradicate Palestine and wider Arab areas of the Middle East.

...and when they're done with Jews, they will be redirecting their mission to the west. The planning of that is already happening over here but it won't be believed. You hear all the time that Israel can't be criticised for fear of being called antisemitic. There's a flip side to that coin, with regards to Islamaphobia. Open and honest discussions are stifled.

That is what happened on this thread, though, and tends to happen through the debate. It’s a rather unbalanced debate if one side is constantly silenced under shouts of antisemitism, is it not?

Educating people, who don't want to be educated, is not a good use of my time. That includes those who assume anybody, who doesn't share their views, is a bot.

I think I have only used the term antisemitic once or twice across all these debates, I don't use it often at all.

I don't think anyone would say that "every criticism" of Israel is antisemitic. I hope not as I have criticised the Israel government & IDF in a way that I feel is fair. I've never been accused of being antisemitic for criticising Netanyahu for example or for saying certain members of the IDF should be tried for war crimes.

But sometimes people on here do say things that come across as antisemitic (for example implying that all Jewish people share a certain trait) and they are rightly called out on that.

The history of the region, if researched thoroughly, will provide you with your answer.

I don’t think anyone who opposes what Israel are doing, are automatically pro-Hamas? That’s another disingenuous argument
