Israels plan for Gazas future

Defense Minister Israel Katz said Monday that he has instructed the IDF to prepare a plan to establish a "humanitarian city" on the ruins of Rafah, which would eventually house the entire population of the Gaza Strip.

According to Katz, the plan involves moving 600,000 Palestinians, primarily from the al-Muwasi area, into the new zone after security screening. Once inside, residents would not be allowed to leave, the defense minister said.

Katz added that, if conditions permit, construction of the "city" would begin during the 60-day Israel-Hamas cease-fire currently under negotiation.

Yes not only are they determined to control what, when, and how much Palestinian civilians can eat, they also want to make it as difficult as possible to access water. So using starvation, thirst and spread of disease as acts of war.

Absolutely determined to make life so difficult for all the citizens of Gaza in every way possible

As I posted on another thread it's 32 degrees in Gaza at the moment with 60% humidity and the IDF put a warning on their social media that they couldn't go into the sea to cool off "We urge fishermen, swimmers, and divers to refrain from entering the sea. Entering the sea along the Strip exposes you to danger,”

Now the Times of Israel says the IDF have not shot anyone yet who goes to paddle in the sea but obviously a warning like that shows that could change at any time.

Combined with living in a tent and a lack of water, life must be unbearable at the moment.

They need to kill as many off as possible prior to admission into the camp. From there they'll be able to cause malnutrition, disease and decline by withholding resources. I wonder if men and women will be separated, in order to prevent births. Killing children and resident doctors is a way to hasten the decline of the population. It isn't a good look to have orphaned children wandering around a camp with no one to care for them.

The surviving Palestinians will be touted around the earth to see if anyone wants to take them in. I've seen Canada put forward as a possible destination.

Need a job? Israel seeks people to bulldoze the Gaza Strip!

Even experts in genocide find what is happening to Gaza too unbearable to keep looking at but we all know…

Thank you for this link @smallglassbottle . Looking down some of the news I wonder how the IDF mistook this 14 year old girl who they shot in the back and continued to fire preventing her family from getting to her. Is she Hamas. Or is this yet another ‘mistake’ . The articles also give insight and footage of settler violence which continues daily unchecked and in fact encouraged

Using such methods of acts of war, only work if the the enemy actually cares if their citizens don't have food or water. Hamas does not. Israel could starve every gazan child and hamas would give zero fucks. So there's no logic to your proposition.

What is far more likely is that Israel is doing what it said it was doing and removing Hamas' control over the population and ability to fund terror, by taking over aid delivery. Hamas are so angry about Israel feeding gazans that they threatened publicly to punish any citizen who took the aid. And they have done

Even if you're right (which I don't believe you are), given that Hamas are Israel's adversary in the war, then surely depriving Gazans of access to food and water in order to defund Hamas is still doing so "as an act of war".

@DrPrunesqualer speaking of settlers violence I presume Trump will speak up soon about the Palestinian American beaten to death in the West Bank by settlers who then attacked the medics trying to help him.

They've said they'll screen for Hamas on entry. Given with fatality numbers it's been apparent that the IDF consider adult males= Hamas, I'm worried the they'll seperate off the men.

If they do, I hope they'll take them elsewhere rather then killing all the men.

It's terrifying seeing this sort of plan being ignored by our government. Even if it doesn't happen, the fact that a concentration camp is being seriously suggested and not universally condemned is appalling. I hoped we'd learned more than this from history.

Trump will do nothing. Washington go by the mantra that they trust Israel to investigate themselves. ?? The US state anyone who needs help can use consular services. 🤣🤣🤣. Thick or what!

It's absolutely unbelievable. I think this is what has shocked so many people. To see a so called legitimate government turn so violent against a civilian population undermines everything we thought we could trust about so called democracy.

And then to be prevented from objecting. Without a way of stopping such tyranny is truly terrible. Look at the US rounding people up - even its own citizens - and sending them to camps. We are now firmly in the age of violent dictatorship. No one is safe. No one to come to anyone else's aid. No language to even object.

According to at least one poster recently only children are innocent. So perhaps the kids go in the concentration camps oo sorry humanitarian camps and the adults off to an Israeli prison without trial.

Only use consular service if you haven't posted anything bad or liked anything derogatory about the Orange Peril!

Yep.

These countries bend a democracy almost makes it worse. It's but still awful revolve imposed on the people against their will, but something they chose!

It's terrifying.

I would suspect men in prison, never to be seen again, and women and children in the camps slowly being neglected to death. Easier to tout round the world as well.

What times we live in.

The heads of Palestinian churches have demanded that the settlers be held accountable for their attack on Taybeh and have asked to know why Israeli police did not respond to requests from residents to protect them.

Good for them. Don’t think they will get an answer though. Quelle suprise.

So I guess if they want to break Hamas control and stop them stealing aid to control the population and fund Gaza, they'd need to make sure Gazans got food via another method. Which is what they've done.

There are many Palestinians detained in Israelis jail without trial. Families have said they haven’t seen them for years when some were released as part of previous ceasefires. Families weren’t even sure if they were still alive. There’s plenty of precedent. This thread is about the plans for Gazas future and as such the comment is far more ‘on thread’ than many

Um, it's quite easy to predict what they will do next. I've been doing it since this started and have yet to be proven wrong. You just have to be cynical, logical and have good intuition. They're nothing if not predictable.

Agree, it’s not that difficult to work out scenarios that will lead towards Netanyahus grand plan.

And even those who got a trial had a 99% chance of conviction.

Agree all males will be screened as Hamas and I would suspect that age will be much below 18.

Are we to presume there will be minimal/no aid for those not within the camp.

The plan says nothing about their fate that the news are aware of. I just can’t believe the International community will allow this consentration camp to go ahead. Am I being nieve? Is there really so much hate allowed to go unchecked?

He's too busy wanging on about everyone talking about the Epstein list and maintaining that Ghislaine Maxwell was convicted and imprisoned for trafficking underage girls to no one.

Disaster doesn't even cover his administration, not content in being actively complicit in crimes against humanity in Palestine now they're covering for pedophiles and betraying all of Epsteins victims that miraculously JP Morgan paid $290 million dollars in settlement.
