Is anyone forgetting that their name alone refers to atrocities carried out by the IRA when they kneecapped dissenters or citizens perceived to be "traitors." I'm a peculiar mix of Irish Dad and German Jewish mother whose family have experienced terrorism and persecution from all sides.

I can believe what you say here tbh. I believe we have no idea what's really going on at times and the Wests involvement in all sorts of enabling - I absolutely have no doubt about. People are capable of being absolutely hideous and depraved. All people!!

I'm at this moment choosing to focus upon one area I don't like - that is a regime that will absolutely perpetuate depravity. People are hideous enough in the potential capacity for harm. OK I'm going to make a last post about the origins of the pro Palestinian movement in this country. As usual, it emanates from university campuses as did the trans movement. In the seventies, Arab nationalism was heavily supported on US,French and UK Campuses by Edward Saiid and Frantz Fanon. Fanon was not even Arab but from a former French colony but identified with the Algerian revolution and was even honoured by Algeria. I don't have accurate statistics to hand and don't know enough here. But I believe you.

What I want to do is separate questionable behaviour care of Government policy or actions ( that we probably aren't privy to) from the wants and needs of people living here.

Our Government very well may have done such. I'm aware of the role of the USA in arming all sorts of groups anti to the ' Western ideology '. I'm familiar with the role in arming and supporting regimes counter to communism; in turn enabling all sorts of current problems counter to a Western ideology.

We citizens however - we are saying we don't like alot of the shit that is going down and that includes an expansion of the presence of Islam in a place most of us don't want it. And many people don't realise what they/ we are walking into. And this is all relevant to events at Glasto.

I can't recall if it was you who mentioned T Robinson. I too was on the ' what a racist ' bandwagon. Then I looked a little further. And I believe now - he speaks truth. And most conflict-related deaths in the Middle East in the last few years (or the last few decades for that matter) have not been caused by Israel. More people have been killed in Syria or Yemen than in all the wars fought by Israel combined.

The conclusion is probably that none of us are ever going to know exactly what is going on beyond our front doors are we. We only know what we see and consume and that's becoming more messed up as each media platform is almost uniquely personalised now based on algorithms and all that crap. There's less of a collective source we all see and consume which feels a bit scary in the potential for disharmony.
