Kneecap and now this.....There are some absolute fits playing at Glastonbury and I am sure there are some virtue signalling loons cheering this.

Hope turnpike throw the book at them.

Bobby Vylan of British duo Bob Vylan performs on the West Holts Stage

Police review footage of chants led by Glastonbury acts

The government condemned chants from rap duo Bob Vylan which were streamed live and called for "death" to the Israeli military.

You are very welcome here. The people who are vocal about Palestine are not representative of the majority population of the UK. There are certain towns and cities where the demographic very much aligns with their friends Hamas, but you’ll find most other towns and cities are very pro Israeli. They think 100,000 marching in London on the odd weekend means the UK is Pro Palestinian. It really isn’t, or where are the other 67million plus??

I don’t agree, I think a large majority of the UK think antisemitism in this country is completely at odds with British values and should be dealt with to the letter of the law, but still think Israel’s actions on Gaza are disgusting and unacceptable.

You do not need to be “Pro Israel” to think Jewish people anywhere, but specifically the UK as that’s where we are discussing, deserve a safe and peaceful live as much as any other citizen.

If you wish to research, you will most likely read about the Farhud in Baghdad, some of the program like riots in Damascus etc, but bear in mind these were all as a result of Zionism. If in doubt research Avi Shlaim’s book Three Worlds, memoirs of an Arab Jew.

I am going to make a concerted effort to do this. Thankyou for references.

I am so confused by the liberal desperation to create a space and encourage such an illiberal religion.
Anyone who grew up in a predominantly Muslim area can tell you how badly it clashes with everything we’re working towards becoming.

Especially when its supposedly left wing people doing it. The alliance between lefties and Islamists is baffling, especially as we know from their collusion with the Ayatollahs in Iran that the lefties were all executed once their useful idiocy had expired.

No, damaged or destroyed. There is a huge difference between damaged and destroyed.

By February the UK has estimated 70% had been damaged or destroyed based on satellite imagery.
This will be significantly higher due to the escalation of violence in recent months.

Do you really think the “damage” is minor considering it’s viewable from satellite imagery?

These are the sorts of comments I find utterly baffling.
You’re genuinely trying to suggest much of Gaza hasn’t been destroyed?
Thats really the point you’re attempting to make based on all the information we have?

Um not quite true. In Israel Jews live side by side with Christians and Arabs. It is the most multicultural country. Arabs serve in the parliament and in very high judicial positions. Most Gazans originate from Jordan. May be worth reading up on wny Jordan kicked them out, why Egypt has closed it's border with Gaza and why no middle Eastern Muslim country will take them.

Wow. Such a simplistic response. Israel claims to be a democracy but there is no universal suffrage. What kind of democracy prioritises citizens based on religion? Non-Jewish Israeli citizens have documented lower welfare support than than their Jewish counterparts in schools and healthcare.

I read that Rod Stewart threw in his tuppence worth with a give Reform a chance.
The whole lot of them sing your songs and eff off.
Spare us the political musings.
Police Scotland did the right thing getting Trnsmt to cancel knee cap on the 11th july.a performance by them in the west of Scotland ahead of prime marching day could have caused chaos.

I'm seeing YouTube videos where supporters of Hamas say "October 7th was inevitable because of the oppression." In other words, raping women and kidnapping mothers and babies, then murdering them was OK. The left has sunk to levels of depravity. But then their exploits in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe never had very high standards anyway. Amazing that this ideology survives.

I’m not sure you can really make a judgment on everyone to the left politically based on some cesspit videos on YouTube.

Another nail in the coffin of far left extremism. Normal folk don't like seeing Islamic extremists marching through their cities every weekend, wearing Militant Islamic outfits.

Ignorance, naiveté and fear. I wonder how much this underlies lefty bullshit. I don't know what else to call it. I don't know what I am either so my use of the word leftie could be wrong. I see myself as a floater politically 💩😆.

As you can see, I am somewhat less afraid to speak out on here. However, I'm still slightly afraid to say my truth to ' friends'. That's due to fear. I know it will be the end of relationships. I'm already an island pretty much because of speaking my truth, even as politely and diplomatically as I can.

I also fear what I see when people speak out. That fear - perpetuated by some groups who don't like you criticising them - that's real. It works, it seeps through and I worry it almost forces a zombie like wokery without people realising they're doing it. I could be over reaching here I accept.

Humans are often so dogmatic I have noticed, that there is no room for alternative considerations.

The majority of the UK do not support Hamas, and agree Israel have the right to defend itself.

Where did I say anyone supported Hamas?

As I said most people in the UK are against the level of military action carried out by Israel.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/jun/03/public-support-for-israel-in-western-europe-lowest-ever-recorded-yougov

https://ygo-assets-websites-editorial-emea.yougov.net/documents/ActionForHumanity_Results_250605_W.pdf

This yougov survey puts support for Israel’s actions in Gaza at 15%.

Public support for Israel in western Europe at lowest ever recorded by YouGov

Survey says fewer than a fifth of respondents in six countries hold a favourable opinion of the country

Of course they do, nobody is denying any group or nation the right to defend itself. It's pretty obvious that everyone has the right to defend themselves.

But what Israel has been doing in Gaza, Lebanon and the West bank is not "defending itself", but vicious, inhumane retribution and revenge. And what is even worse, is that Israel's friends have looked on and allowed them to get on with it. Not because they believe that what is Israel is doing is right, but because it suits their economic interests to do so.

How ironic that this should be done at a music festival.

People are entitled to express their views... not entitled to create an environment that is hostile to Jewish people and gives a platform to Jew killers at a UK festival where “discrimination of any sort is not tolerated.”

Kindly distinguish between what he actually said and your interpretation of it.. At no point did he say anything about Jews, death to Jews, Jewish hate speech or anything of the sort. He mentioned the Israeli Defence Force who under orders of the Israeli government are committing genocide in front of the world's eyes.... If the Israeli government decide to stop doing that - then people will stop condemning the government and IDF - kindly note - this has nothing to do with JEWS!

Why fear radical Islam? Have you heard what they want to do to the West? You remember the London bombings yes? Manchester Arena?

Yes. Islam the religion of peace 🙄

‘According to Fondapol, a French think tank, between 1979 and May 2021, at least 48,035 Islamist terrorist attacks took place worldwide, causing the deaths of at least 210,138 people.

During this period, each Islamist attack resulted in the death of about 4.4 persons on average. The most common type of weapon used are explosives (43.9%). The main target of these attacks is the military (31.7%), followed by civilians (25.0%) and police forces (18.3%).’

Thank you. But if 100000 people were marching week in week out against you, I'm not sure you'd feel that way.

Absolutely agree. It’s disgusting that these protests are allowed. I can only imagine what it must feel like to be a Jew going about your normal business in London during one of these marches. Some are peaceful, but there are large pockets of openly hostile Hamas supporters who will try to intimidate. IMO, Starmer should clamp down on this along the same lines he dealt with those inciting hatred and violence in Southport - arrest people and get them through the Courts as soon as the weekend is over.
