Conflict in the Middle East

How long until the Iranian regime collapses?

I think days......

The dismantling of its defence systems, the panic in Terhan coupled with decapitation of the senior ministry leadership alongside important government institutions makes control increasingly hard for the regime.

I think the lack of good options for Iran has made them separately wave a white flag attempting to get back to the negotiating material but maybe it's just too late?

BREAKING: Trump wants "a real end" to the nuclear problem with Iran and this morning will find him in the White House Situation Room, monitoring developments in Middle East, he told us during his midnight departure from Canada.

"I didn't say I was looking for a ceasefire," he said on AF1. He said he wants "a real end," with Iran "giving up entirely" on nukes.

The Israelis aren't slowing up their barrage on Iran, he predicted. "You're going to find out over the next two days. You're going to find out. Nobody's slowed up so far."

Asked his thinking on calling for Tehran to evacuate, he told me he wants "people to be safe."

He needs to be present at the White House, not Canada, where he can be "well versed" and not have to rely on phones to know what's happening, he said.

Trump sounded undecided about sending Witkoff and/or VP Vance to meet with Iran. "I may," he said. But "it depends what happens when I get back," he said.

On any threat to US interests, he said Iran knows not to touch our troops. US would "come down so hard if they do anything to our people," he said.

Trump declined to say if the chairman of joint chiefs and SecDef have provided him with planning options should Iran attack U.S. bases in Middle East. "I can't tell you that," he told me.

Trump told me "we'll be talking to them" when asked if the Gang of Eight was briefed on anything yet. But "it's not necessary," he said.

Asked if US involvement would destroy Iran nuclear program, hope their program "is wiped out long before that."

Ferdinando Marcos was deposed in a coup that came from within the Phillipines.

What's happening with Israel and Iran is the opposite of that. If the regime falls, it will not result in more democracy and human rights. It will descend into chaos for the entire region and then the most violent group will rise to the top.

Netenyahu is proving himself the biggest threat to Israel's existence.

If Iran became a nuclear power - what then though. What alternative did Israel have.

FFS we need to stop playing the nuke card! Israel already has nuclear weapons and has never allowed any international oversight or investigation.
No country will and has event attacked another nuclear power.

I can almost see the logic if Iranis were indeed trying get their hands on nukes which I doubt as this has not been investigated thoroughly yet.

However, who will blame them now seeing as Israel is about to do to Tehran what it did to Gaza?

So stop playing the nuke card. Israel is the biggest threat to the region’s future right now.
Do you think the images of Gaza and Tehran will somehow just get wiped off the memories of the people living through these times and raising their future generation there.
Or probably that is why Netenyahu is so keen to kill children - decreases the future risk of retaliation against your terror campaign, doesn’t it, if there are no children that will grow up?

The ‘nuke card’. You’re at a distance from people looking seriously at threats.

It isn’t a card it’s the main issue.

He's going to enter the campaign with American bombers and missiles. The assets are mostly in place.

https://ukdefencejournal.org.uk/huge-number-of-u-s-refuelling-aircraft-cross-the-atlantic/

On Sunday night, an unusually large formation of American aerial refuelling aircraft — including over two dozen KC-135 Stratotankers and KC-46 Pegasus tankers — was observed transiting eastbound from North America at cruising altitudes consistent with strategic repositioning. The volume and pattern of these flights suggest a deliberate deployment of refuelling assets, rather than routine training or ferrying operations.

This mass movement does not appear to be linked to any currently scheduled multinational air exercise such as Atlantic Trident, leading many to assess it as a pre-positioning effort in support of future operations or rapid response plans. While the precise destination of the tankers remains unconfirmed, many were observed heading toward European airspace or potentially onward to Middle Eastern bases used by US and NATO forces

It’s a car that Netenyahu pulled out just in time when his cabinet members were about to be banned in the U.K. even.

There is no proof Iran was making a nuclear bomb and the initial reports needed investigating. Now he has made sure the area burns for the generations to come.

Do you think Iranians will forget what Tehran looks like right now? Do you think Gaza will forget what their city looked like before Netenyahu had his way with it?

A card it is. Also, if a war criminal like Netenyahu’s regime has its fingers on a nuke button, I imagine a number of countries in the region are now looking at getting them. He has started a flame that will only keep going for generations now.

The Saudis would be mad not to - it's the ultimate regime defender and insurance policy they are an autocratic absolute monarchy and who knows what the future holds.

It's nice to see they're doing a bit of diplomacy after so many years of hostility and proxy wars. But that wee letter is far far away from They've got too much heavyweight protection and funding from Saudis.😆

This was my initial thoughts too, however, there is significant domestic pressure on Trump from his loyal MAGA crowd for the US not to get involved. I don't think he will be taking that lightly. My guess is the US will help Israel with further attacks whilst assuming a position that they are not 'directly' involved.

Yup. Every country in the region is madly looking into nukes right now.

I would be highly interested to know who is potentially up for selling them. I can bet my right hand that the trail will go back to Trump’s best friends, including Putin who he is actively protecting as per Zelensky’s statement from last night.

He could also be posturing to position himself favourably in negotiating a deal with Iran.

He's told his old mateTucker Carlson and the MAGA isolationist wing to stfu basically. He thinks it will be one VERY BIGLY ONE and he will win and then he will strut his stuff. Netanhayu probably threatened the Epstein files the one that Musk threatened only last week.

Why would you defend Iran and hurl abuse at Israel? You seem clever and clued-up so it can’t be that you’re ignorant of the murderous, theocratic dictatorship in Tehran.

But you want to side with Iran? You think it doesn’t matter if they have a nuclear bomb? Seriously? Jeez.

It's amazing how so many place more faith in terrorist regimes, than they do western defence mechanisms. God help us all if Iran get more support behind the scenes.

Iranian regime is theocratic, supporting proxies and all that. What they are not in comparison to Israeli regime right now is war criminals as per the ICC.

Netanyahu is legitimising them and we have come full circle because the current regime was a direct result of US and U.K. intervention to remove an elected PM in Iran.

So I am definitely worried about what this means for the region and for European nations. Trump and his cronies don’t care. It’s the people of Europe, Israel and Iran that will pay the price for this for generations to come.
