Well, it is absolutely meaningless that the US is the only power to have used a nuclear weapon because it is precisely for that reason, that no one else has ever used one.

Someone would have been the first to use one at some point. It was inevitable. The important thing is that they are not used again. The important thing is that we do not make any more nuclear powers, but instead work towards denuclearisation.

Well should the world have bombed North Korea when it knew they were on the threshold if not why not ? Same for Pakistan and India and Turkey and South Korea have declared intent and capacity.

Thanks. I don’t want Iran to have nukes who does? But you can see why they might try. They’ve seen what happened to Iraq and Libya when they didn’t have them, and they’re surrounded by nuclear-armed powers. It’s not ideal, but it’s hardly shocking either.

What baffles me is this idea that lobbing bombs at them will somehow make things better. It won’t it'll just light another fire in an already unstable region, and we’ll all end up feeling the fallout one way or another.

And where were all these armchair experts when 500 of us were out marching with CND from St Martin-in-the-Fields back in ’79, Monsignor Bruce Kent at the front, or camping at Greenham Common freezing our arses off to stop this sort of nuclear madness? We’ve been banging on about this for years. Funny how it’s only a crisis now.

I'm not sure why you think Israeli leaders would care about that? Israel have quite the long list of rape and sexual assault allegations(that they investigate themselves and clear themselves of), when they found out children were raped and sexually assaulted in prison they closed down the organisation that brought it to light. Should Israel be bombed too? Will you cheer that on too?
