I don't think Israel's course of action of bombing Iran and declaring war was the correct action. I can't see why that's such a controversial opinion to have.

I am very worried that what we saw today is just the start of another prolonged war.

If you are given that Iran is a top three threat don’t you think it should be taken seriously?

It won’t be prolonged. Iran will neutralize Iran’s nuclear program and missile capability and that will be it.

I just can’t get why people are being blasé about Iran having nuclear weapons. Or even more than that saying they should have them as it’s unfair.

Saying that, i don't think other Nuclear countries can force Iran not to have it. That's just hypocritical.

If Iran had nukes, they'd nuke Israel. Bluntly, that's why they shouldn't have them. Because they're Islamist lunatics.

There are other countries which could be described as hostile by the US that have Nuclear capabilities but nobody would agree that they should be bombed because of it.

Btw Iran has fired pretty indiscriminately at Israel, if it wasn't for Iron Dome there would be mass civilian casualties.

The idea of Iran getting there with nuclear weaponry has been an issue for some time.

How are you certain you have more insight into the threat than all those looking into it over that time?

What is your background that supersedes all that?

I haven't said i do, i was asked my opinion on it by you and I'm certainly no expert. My real concern lies more with the wider impact of this escalation and how it will affect innocent civilians.

You're always worrying about innocent civilians but only the ones targeted by the IDF for some reason.

I had innocent Israelis in mind who were targeted by today's attack by Iran too but go figure.

If Iran had nuclear weapons, the claim that they’d simply nuke Israel is a massive exaggeratio they might be hostile, but they’re not that irrational. Even if they used one or two low-grade weapons, Israel would retaliate by striking Tehran and destroying every significant military asset in the country. It would be absolute suicide for the regime.
